He stated some are better than the others for durability like Nucore & Durolux and still need to see the different ones that are offered . The one I was choosing was less expensive and happened to match better but when I tried the sample at home it did scratch easily with a flathead(I did as an experiment) as he had previously mentioned. He said not to drag furniture or anything that may scratch it. He said I needed a blue bottom cover for the floor underneath but u are if I actually need it . I decided to head back the next day and exchange the one I had with the one that was more durable to last longer since it would not be warrantied if any scratches were to occur. I also purchased a tool to install it if needed . I wanted to purchase and match a marble piece that I already have in the area going into the other rooms. He took me to the area and we picked a piece out. Additionally, I had the transition piece to match. He loaded the car for me. When I returned the next day it was busier. Another guy assisted me but was told to go to another customer and someone else helped me. He took the ones I purchased out of the car but there was a bit of a delay at the registers when I returned because customers were also returning and purchasing. We worked with the designer/sales person. I immediately mentioned to her that I was buying everything for apartments in New York and she told me there would be no problem they can ship directly to the apartments After completing the order which totaled over $22,000.00 she once again told us that she would ship it directly to New York for us....it is not a problem. Both my Decorator and I heard her say that. I also told her that I know there's a ProSource in New York actually in Long Island and would I be better off buying it there and she said absolutely not. We will ship it to you not to worry. I paid her the $22,000 and was waiting to find out when it was being shipped Approximately three weeks later, I receive an email saying that the shipping charges are $5600. I truthfully went crazy. I called her up and of course She denied ever saying that there was no problem with shipping to New York My Decorator called her and said that if this is not rectified, she will never shop there again. They then dropped the price to 4500 fir shipping. I believe. I then spoke to the operations manager because the general manager is out on medical leave. The operation manager. Vivian was extremely nice and told me to put everything into an email which I did and sent it to her. They now dropped the price to $3500. Unfortunately, I have to pay it because I already paid for the flooring and the tile and I will lose my money. I have no other option. What I'm saying is that this is an unethical store and their commissions are more important than telling the truth and keeping customers Satisfied I could have bought some of the products in the ProSource in New York, but they told me that it would not be a problem so I believed them. Ironically, everything is being shipped to the ProSource now in New York. As a result, I am paying $3500 more than was quoted to me unfortunately since the general manager is out on medical leave and I hope he is OK there is no one that can really take the time and listen to me. The only thing that was told is that apparently it's my word against the sales person which is true however, the Decorator was there and heard the same thing. As a result my Decorator will never shop at ProSource again. I will never go back to ProSource again and I am telling everybody out there if they want to deal with a reputable honest company stay away from this store. I don't remember the name of our salesperson, only that I was amazed that he was still in high school but so poised and knowledgeable about countertops! We decided on a quartzite slab for our kitchen and got a very reasonable price. Half Price Countertops cuts, fabricates, and installs the slab. We had to wait for our cabinets to be installed first, but as soon as they were done we called, and Half Price Countertops was immediately ready to start the installation process. They did a beautiful job and the kitchen counters look amazing! We did have one small glitch where our dishwasher did not fit after installation. We called the company and spoke to the owner. He said he wanted to make sure we were completely happy and within a couple of days someone was there to fix the issue. Under the consult of Donald Rancourt, I bought tiles and grout at Home Depot. His worker did a terrible job! Grout color was uneven and faded when dry. The company denied any responsibility for the problem, and refused to fix the problem. They suggested spraying a sealer on tiles, and assured me that this would fix problem. When dry, tiles looked exactly the same as before! I paid over $12,000 for the entire job! The owner Donald Rancourt is very difficult to work with. He has very poor communication skills. He denies what he had said, or doesn't remember, or says that he never said it. Get every single detail in writing!
