This is a nice place. Kinda quiet for what I'm used to being a dc native. But the seating is amazing. The chairs are comfy. But the smoke selection isn't that great. But still some solid smoke choices. $10 minimum purchase to get in. I will be coming back. read more

Great cigar options. I started coming here and haven't change my location for a good cigar. Ed and Mark are always helpful with questions and very hospitable. The atmosphere is always comfortable and sociable for us ladies. They have a nice outdoor sitting if you want to enjoy the sunshine with your cigar. I've had some of my lady friends come and we had lunch and wine there to have our ladies time. Bathrooms are clean and the lounge is very spacious with nice leather seats and tvs. Free parking out front. There is a restaurant out front, never eaten there but good to have. Plenty of selection in the humidor. The Leaf by Oscar is something new to smoke and it's definitely worth checking out. Membership options offer great perks like 24-hour access to the lounge and a locker. There's wifi, a pool table, several TVs, and an oval table that makes great for card playing. Was in again last week. Since I was here last time, there has been a management change and its for the better. It is fostering a more pipe-friendly crowd now thanks to Mark (one of the partners) and there is a surprising selection of pipes and pipe tobaccos now including some house blends. They also now have a much better cigar inventory on hand. There have been other subtle changes that improve upon the atmosphere and a sense that it is behaving ore like a business and less like a club/hobby now. By far my favorite and most convenient place to come! I moved to frederick a little over 2 years ago and hoped to find a great lounge to enjoy a good smoke and good company. I stumbled upon Quartermasters and Ed (the owner) and it's been my favorite place since. I cut back a lot but if you're looking for a great atmosphere, Quartermasters is where it's at. My son and stopped by one rainy Saturday for the Voyage cigar launch. Great welcome by the guys behind the counter. Very helpful and knowledgeable but we knew what we were looking for. We stayed for a couple of hours. We shared in the communal beer, soda and water ( we are non drinkers of hard liquor). Just started really smoking cigars 4 months ago. Went to a few other shops , but my home now is QM's. First trip in Ed walked me through the humidor and hasn't left me since. Great team he has put together also , all are very welcoming. Every time I go in I get greeted with smiles . It's my local cheers you might say. Membership is definitely worth it. I go 3-4 times a week and enjoy every visit . Great place for the beginner to the expert. Better then those other guys in town and they actually appreciate your business. This is my favorite cigar shop. The owners are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The selection of cigars in the shop is expanding and prices are reasonable. They don't have the widest selection but they make up for it with some great exclusive cigars that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. If you are in Frederick and craving a cigar this is your place! The lounge is large and comfortable! They have many large comfortable leather chairs, TVs and a billiards table, outdoor seating for when the weather is nice, plus free WiFi if you are trying to get some work done (as I often am). There are even memberships that allow after hours access to the lounge, how cool is that?!
