I finally went to see Dr Jagalur at the recommendation of my PCP. Dr Jagalur is a very caring and extremely good at what she does. In three visits in under a month she has managed to completely get my BP under Control. She made some med changes and changed the schedule of when I take my meds. She has personally called me on my cell to check up on me and that should tell you enough. How Many Physicans do you see that actually call you. I too, heard mostly ghastly stories of pain, embarrassment, etc., but I knew I needed to go for my health/well-being anyway. The PA was awesome: friendly and non-judgmental. (I mean, I kind of expected at least one wtf comment about me being 24 and never visiting the gyno...but nothing!) J-Staud came in to do my exam. She explained every step and made sure I was comfortable as she went along. I felt NOTHING. It was amazing. I almost thought something was wrong because my experience seemed to differ for most people's...but Dr. Staud is just that awesome. It was seriously the best case scenario I could have imagined for my first gyno visit. I'm now a responsible-type person and schedule my yearly visit, and I've never minded going back!

I've had scary old men and mean, judgmental old women....and then I found Rebecca. I. LOVE. REBECCA. And not just because she's seen the worst (in)side of me and still talks to me. Granted, Rebecca is just a PA and I've only actually seen my "real" gyno (Dr. Ramos) once. But I don't care, cause I'd so much rather see Rebecca. She is the sweetest person in the world, and makes you feel so comfortable even in the most awkward position. Plus, the staff is VERY sweet. When I didn't have insurance for the year I was self-employed, Jenny (an assistant?) kept me in contraceptives for free. Also, there's this very cute red-head (Kerrie?) that does the billing and is really, really nice. If you're looking, you've found your match. Go here!

Dr. Ashgar was very warm and loving with my mother which also has dementia. He explained everything to her, not to me, which I appreciate very much. Most doctors speak to the family members instead of the patient with dementia. She's very aware when she is left out of a conversation. I would recommend Dr. Ashgar to my friends and family. If I needed a nephrologist I would only see him. Thank you so much for being so kind and attentive to my mother.

They didn't have my lab work from my PCP and should have rescheduled till they got them. He tried to diagnose me from a post it note that I brought with me. They were not set up for any tests. No blood work or even a urine sample. You'd think a kidney specialist would at least want a urine sample but no. It was the least professional doctor's office that I have visited and I am 66! Told me if I wanted blood work I could make an appointment a Quest or some other lab. Total waste of time! I would never recommend them.

Never tell you that shouldn't get pregnant, then if you do force you into an abortion. They are not here to help you to lengthen your lifespan. They don't care. It's all about billing your insurance and going on vacations for them. Find a doctor who cares. It took me to become a registered nurse to realize all of the negligence and atrocities I suffered due to these doctors. You're told you'll never be on dialysis. Then the day comes and then you're told to never contact them again. Why? They're in bed with Fresenius who is another nightmare all on it's own. I need to add the fact that I complained to Dr. Russell Silverstein for YEARS that I was in pain. His continued response? I wake up in pain too. We all have pain. Get up out of bed and work. We all have to work. You need to work so you can have insurance. Turns out: I was FINALLY diagnosed with HYPERPARATHYROIDISM! Which depletes your body of calcium. It led to me having serious bone issues which led to a back fusion surgery. AND I had grown a nice size tumor which would have been detected sooner had he actually done his job as a PHYSICIAN. It had gone on for so many years undetected that I had to under many biopsies, surgery to remove the tumor and had to see an ONCOLOGIST to see if it had turned cancerous. No one cares in this practice. Not a soul. Healthcare here is all about PROFITS and less on holistic patient centered care. Make wise decisions on who you chose to direct your illness. Because these people will send you on your way to your grave.
