Great customer service. I've been with Qualstar for 15 plus years. Love this credit union.

The tellers are nice and professional. I use their branch share and it's fast and easy. I'm not sure why the last person hated it so much.

Before moving here I had the best banking experiences in two different branches of Wells Fargo. It…read morewas always top-notch service and always extremely friendly. Would I have the same luck here... First of all I have been in this branch multiple times and wanted to get a feel for it. The staff have always been friendly and polite but to be honest, not as much as the last two branches I have been in. :( I sometimes feel they could stand to open up another window when it gets busy, but alas... that is not the case. Once I waited in line for what felt like an eternity (not really an eternity, but you get the idea) only to be in not the greatest of moods when I got to the window. They are still nice though which helps make the experience better. Today I had the pleasure to deal with Andrea who was both professional and polite. She was patient with me and walked me through what I had to do. When she gave me my cash they offered to give me an envelope and they do the same if you get a bankers check. As far as the parking lot...I have seen arguments in the parking lot between customers and/or people in another car. I've never seen anything like that inside. Also I have seen people park in the handicapped space without a handicapped parking tag. I guess finding another space to use the ATM would take a few extra moments of your time... Done people are so lazy! Good bank branch.... But not as polite and friendly as my last two branches!

I've finally made the switch. Good day to you, big banks, good day!…read more Here's what happened. One morning I checked my Chase account and see some random fee. AGAIN. Immediately enraged and flustered, I pick up my phone to call and ask once again why they have taken some of my money. What magical reason could Chase come up with this time to justify their thievery this time around? Maybe it was too sunny, perhaps the wind blew or a door slammed too loudly at the chase headquarters and they thought OH! Let's hand out some fees! Who the hell knows, but I made a decision at that moment that I was done. (To be clear, I'm not on the whole I hate every big business kick, just sick of having my money taken away.) Powerfully, I jump into my car and head right down to the BECU at the Renton Landing to discuss opening an account. There was a bit of a wait, but I've never been one of those folks who is baffled when they have to wait for what they want at a busy restaurant, bank etc. Once my number came up, I was assisted by the very helpful Pey-Ling. She was AWESOME! She used words I understand unlike every other bank I've been to. Clearly stated their terms/requirements and was honest about when and why fees are assessed. She worked quickly and was very personable. A real pleasure to talk to. She made opening a new account comfortable and easy. Every friend I've talked to that has a BECU account loves it. Haven't really heard a whole lot of negatives. I am beyond happy I made the switch. So far, things are as advertised. BECU people, thanks for being cool. Big banks, so long.

I agree with the previous review…read more The staff is great, friendly and helpful. I'm glad I stumbled on to them. Even got my mortgage through them!

I've been banking here for years. Building is much nicer, cleaner and the general atmosphere more…read moreprofessional yet they've managed to retain the feel of a hometown bank; employees are courageous and professional, they remember your name, very rarely any wait time and if there is, there is comfortable seating available; usually with a receptionist that is happy to get you a cup of coffee or water, and there are a variety of financial services available. Parking lot is small but space is usually available. Plenty of on street parking. Parking garage is available; small with a limited amount of spaces and very hard to maneuver around in if you are driving anything but a motorcycle. The reason I gave one star and the reason I'll probably be banking elsewhere in the very near future; they have removed the drive-thru. Drive through ATM is still available; apparently with new features that allow you to make deposits but there is no teller available. Their excuse; there were only a few people a day using this service. Seriously??!! This is one of the most ignorant statements I've heard from a business!! It's not like they have to have a teller sitting there all day; I would think some sort of a buzzer could have been put into place. Apparently that's too much bother. This leaves the distinct impression that their new remodel, while a nice upgrade, has left an important segment of our community out; the elderly and the disabled. There are the required number of disabled parking places out front. However, it's sometimes an exhausting chore for someone with mobility issues (especially those using a van with a lift system) or other mobility aid to get out of their vehicle to come inside. For people suffering from respiratory issues, battling cancer or other unseen health issues, it can be equally difficult to come inside. It's often difficult for some of our elderly to come inside; especially during unusually hot or cold days. I could go on and on with a hundred other obvious reasons to have a drive-thru. Bottom line; a message is sent that not all members of our community are important or even welcome here. A drive thru is a standard, not to mention courteous and inclusive, feature of most other banks. Unless I'm missing something or there is a service I'm unaware of, I'm totally disgusted. 6/16/2020 I had a simple account question. I was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes before finally giving up. In a time of social distancing, when we're encouraged to use online or phone resources, this is the best they can do?! They don't give you an approximate hold time, not even decent music, just a screechy voice repeatedly thanking you for your patience. Maybe spend less time on interior/exterior cosmetics and more on customer service improvements? Can't the person that usually greets customers and points out the free cookies and coffee perhaps man the phones?
