It is a bank. I deposit money and it goes into my account. I withdraw money and they take it from my account.

This is for the Renton Branch on 4th. i really hate going into banks and avoid it at all costs. but Daryl B really was a doll and went out of his way to help solve my issues without making me feel like an inconvenience which most bank people tend to do. They also have a teller whose name I'm not aware of but he is outstanding and i think I'm not the only one who will wait for him to avoid the other tellers. He is also friendly super competant and amazing. This branch is fortunate to have multiple good people. And I m grateful too for on the rare occasions I have to go in, the experiences are pleasant. I'm done. Have had a Chase account since back in the WaMu days 25+ years ago. The 24 hr ATM at this branch disappeared over a year ago. I was told another was coming but was delayed due to Covid. Hmmm...it's been over a year. I don't get the impression they plan on replacing the ATM. And forgive me for being blunt, but the point of a bloody ATM is so that I don't have to restrict my banking to bank hours. The ATM in the lobby is useless to me. The 24/7 BECU machines about 200 steps away are fabulous. Goodbye. read more

BEWARE OF THE LASTEST SCAMS THAT ARE HITTING BANKS THROUGHOUT THE USA!! The scam does not consist on jsut craking your bank account and taking your money,No! this is the new scam its called filing claims on your bank account bank account by going through your bank statment after they hacked into the bank account then the scammer pretends it you and files claims on actual big amounts of checks you wrrote and tell the banker that he is filing claims on big $ amounts on checks or payment that were already done last month. Then the banker gives credits on those claims that yuou wrote a month telling the banker these are unarthorized items that he never made. In other words the scammer is pretending its you filing the claims and so they are given credit on your bank account while the bank investigates those claims meanwhile all the credits that was given on your account, the scammers turns around and cashes in those credits and takes off with your money. That is exactly that happen to me. One day i notice my account was overdrawn ans went to see my banker and he called the the claims departments in its Chase bank and surprisingly finds out that someone filed 18 claims that were big ticket items like car payment, airfare, hotel and rented car and some dating site totalling over -$9,000. my banker asked me if i filed 18 claims againist my checking account and i said" Whats a claim? Honestly i didnt what he was talking about and he explained to me what itt was. Obviously i said no! So what this scammer was pretending he was me and went through my checking account line items and found large ticket items and claimed that these 18 claims where not his so the claim depart told him he would get credits for all those line items and was given credit to my account or say his account and told him about the credits and they will investigate all the claims it they were real or not! so these large ticket items were airfares to houston and hotel stay and the rented car fee, you see i travel to houston once or twice a month for cancer chemo therapy so those big ticket items the scammer claimed. Get this, those bank checks or ATM you made doessnt have to be last week, it can be 3 months ago and the bank will give you credit back to your checking account, and thats what the scammer did!! By the time i reported that none of those claims were mind, the investigation was closed on most of the claims. thats not the worst part about this, its the fact that the Chase intestigation will call the merchant and tell the merchant if this air fare was purchase by me and thery would say yes, like my flight ticket was back in Febrary 2024. So then the investigator goes back and takes that credit from you bank account and removes tht particular credit even though the scammer took the money and ran before the investigation was completed leaving me with another cost of the same money airfare i paid in februry. I told the investigator that all those claims were not mine i never filed those claims, the investigator said i liable for all those claims that were confirmed that i did buyy an airfare, i did rent a car i did stay at a hotel because of my trips to houston for my chemo. I am numb from what to me that i was liable for all those 18 claims and there was nothing i can do about it I been on the phone with the investigator stating i didnt file those claims but they said someone who got a hold my my card some way some how was pretending to me. Even though the investigator said when the claims were filed they label the request suspious BUT NEVER CALLED TO ASK ME IF THAT WAS ME FILING 18 CLAIMS AGAINST MY CHECK BOOK EVEN THOUGH THEY MADE A NOTE ON MY ACCOUNT THATITILOOK SUSPIOUS! I am out over $9 grand maybe more after they verify if the existing claims were true or false.. So now i no longer can afford my chemo treatment let alone the flight, hotel and meals staying in houston read more

To echo the numerous other reviews - the customer service at this particular branch is lacking. My husband and I came in on Friday afternoon to open a joint checking account. My husband already has 3 accounts with Chase (for context). We were told by the teller (older lady) that no one was working that day to help us open an account, however she took our information would have someone call us to schedule an appointment for the next day. We told her we'd stop by the next morning since we'd already be in the vicinity. No one ever called. The next morning we stopped in and were greeted by a man who appeared to be the manager and the bank teller we spoke with the previous day. We stated we were there to open a joint account and the manager said: "Oh, you had the 12:30 appointment?" We said that didn't and no one called us back to schedule an appointment. If they set up an appointment for us, they should've called and told us what time to be there. The presumed manager says "It takes 45 minutes to open a new account and I can't do it right now." The staff needs to communicate better internally, and they need to sharpen their customer service skills. No problem, we took our business to US Bank. read more

The security guard is friendlier and has more personality than the bankers and tellers. It's a bit sad when most of the staff seems asleep and doesn't even greet you when you walk up to them. read more

LONGTIME customers with an average daily balance of $40K. What deplorable service recently! We used to be able to drop in for notary service, but the last two times (3 weeks ago and again today), we were rudely told we needed an appointment. Their website does not say an appointment is required. Today I asked if a notary was onsite and was told yes, promptly followed by a rude tone asking "Do you have an appointment?" They would not notarize for me, despite the notary sitting right there (I could see him, and he was not with a client). I angrily turned and walked out and promptly went to our other bank, BofA inside QFC, and they gladly and immediately notarized our document. My husband and I plan to remove our money from Chase, and go strictly with BofA. Chase on NE 4th has gotten a little too big for its britches, as grandma used to say. read more

This is for the ATM "room" in the Branch entrance. I first noticed these new ATM's installed recently, and dayum they're fast! I'm used to the ones that eat your card during the whole transaction, but these require just the in 'n out swipe. Touchscreen is darn fast, and I think I completed my Fast Cash in under 1 minute. Like the wind. Hm, the space also smelled kinda funky, kind of like a smoky/potpourri scent. Weird. read more

I made an appointment 1 day before coming here. When I arrived at the appointment time noone greeted me. After 20 minutes a lady came and asked then told me the person I was supposed to meet wasn't in. She asked me to wait for another person for 10 more minutes. Half and hour later I was still waiting. I eventually left after wasting my 50 minutes and the driving back and forth. I thought the whole point of making the appointment is so that you don't have to wait. read more

As the Covid-19 pandemic hits the state, all face to face banking services had been canceled. So we've been through the drive-thru for check deposits and the lady behind the teller always quick& efficient, never messed up by the amount of complexity. I also hate the fact that you'd spout out any kind of garbage to try to keep me from closing my accounts with you. And I most especially hate your weepy, pleading, "please come back to me! This spring I received an offer for $200 if I opened up a bank account set with automatic deposits. I was already thinking of opening a new account when this hit my radar. Several of months in it occurred to me that I had not received the $200 as promised. Let's face it...this set me into an irritation since I then deduced I would need to actually go to the bank. First world problems, right? Based on the exceptional service I received when I opened my account, I was stymied that likely the guarantee of $200 hadn't been a fluke. I was greeted immediately when I entered and asked for a personal banker. Said banker went over the transactions with me and agreed that indeed the $200 hadn't been deposited. He apologized and assured me that I would hear from him as soon as he was able to discern what happened. Consequently, I left believing I would soon be back to close the account with their promise unfulfilled. I couldn't have been more wrong. Instead, I received a phone call within the hour referring to a specific transaction wherein the $200 had indeed been deposited. As it turns out, I had missed the deposit in my reconciliation, and even the personal banker missed it upon initial investigation. Instead of feeling the urge to close the account, I am dedicated to keeping the account due to the honesty and clarity of the two personal bankers and their follow-up on their word. read more

I just met with Carrie Johnson to open a saving account today. I asked her if the bank has any bonus offer to open an account, but she was quite rude. She didn't has her name badge on so i asked for her business card , she gave me a rude attitude when I said Im not ready to open saving acc today, and also I asked her to check my credit card because I think I got something wrong abt $54 interest charge but she doesn't help me abt that. If I could give them a -5 I would! My fiancé has banked with Chase for years! So when we got engaged we opened a mutual account together. No big deal. But then I decided it would be easier if I had a single account there for me as well to better handle my funds. WRONG! Worst headache of my life! I have had 3 attempts at just receiving my debit card, I went in every time (waited 1 hour cause they never have enough bankers) and each time they said oh um we don't know where your card is or oh it was delivered? Clearly NOT! So finally they UPS it to me. I get the card and I think my problems are over. WRONG! I set up/activate my card. I log on to my account on pay day (where my direct deposit is set up Chase also helped with this) and nothing is there not even my single account that had shown up the previous day. So I call chase and long behold they don't have an answer for me as usual. Then the lady goes ma'am this accounts been closed by what seems to be you? Um excuse me!! You think I'd be calling all frustrated if I shut down my own account?!! So now I have to go sit in chase probably for another hour and figure out what the heck happened again! Oh and get another debit card! In the talks of closing our mutual account right now with my fiancé; I just can't see storing our money in a bank where they have no idea what they're doing or where your money is. Friendly easy going staff, pretty big parking lot, it's usually never too busy so I'm in and out which is good cause time is money!

Although I was not happy when Chase took over Washington Mutual and changed everything........ I must say the one thing I'm thankful for is the employees at this location. They are extremely helpful and tentative to my needs. They open the door for me always have cookies readily available, and they are helpful with every aspect. Even with Chase's hit or miss customer service in general, my experience at this branch was notably bad. My wife and I came in to close and open a business account. There was no greeter, so we sat waiting for a banker for 20 minutes, listening to him being professional and courteous to a male customer behind the pony wall. The banker then got up to do something for a customer and stoped by us to ask what we wanted. When I told him, he said that he is not going to help us because it was too close to 1pm on a Saturday (there was 1/2 hour to go). There was no apology short of saying he was "sorry that I felt that way", no courteous conversation, no professional approach with a handshake for a long term business customer. Instead, he refused to serve a woman owned business in a condescending manner, without even offering to make an appointment that he said are required for businesses on a Saturday (I have been with this bank for many years and have never been informed of an appointment requirement to date). When I said that I will not be coming back to this branch, this banker was completely indifferent. If you are a minority business owner, I strongly suggest you save yourself the unconscionable experience I had and find elsewhere to bank. This banker, who claims to be the only one there who can close and open business accounts, is in desperate need of customer service training. read more
