Robert, the outstanding mechanic who has worked there for twenty years, apologized for the delay. I was offered and accepted a ride to my nearby home to wait. Two and a half hours later, the work was completed. I was given a ride back to the garage. I call this excellent customer service. And that is one reason why we support an independent service provider rather than a dealer. Plus, the cost is considerably less than for work at a dealership. At Hari's, communication with customer, attention to customer needs, and expertise in servicing cars are all superior to most dealerships. I believe I am getting a fair and accurate appraisal of work that needs to be done. Whereas, at the dealership, I feel the bill is padded with extra work that is unnecessary. Plus, I am supporting an independently owned local business that resides in my community. A "WIN" all around.

I dropped my car off on a Friday stating that the cabin of the car was filling with exhaust. They…read moresaid that the exhaust smell was coming from a leaking oil seal which required the transmission to be removed to fix. 2 weeks later, I picked my car up on a Friday at closing and paid $3,300. Within 2 minutes driving down the road, my cabin was again filled with the same exhaust smell and the car now also had a slight vibration that wasn't there before. I dropped the car back off that night after closing. When I called Saturday morning, I was told that they did not have time to look at it that day. On Monday, I stopped on the way home from work. The owner was in the process of looking under the hood of my car. When I approached and started to discuss the issue with my car he became very aggressive in his demeanor and tone of voice. Never once did I ask for a refund on the work that was done (that didn't fix the problem I brought the car in for) nor did I accuse them making up a problem that didn't exist. I simply wanted the issue I brought the car in for to be done promptly since I was now on week 3 without a car. The owner made me feel very uncomfortable to the point I started to cry so I excused myself and left. The owner followed up a half hour later via phone call, speaking very nicely to me, sharing the great news that the parts needed to fix the original problem would run me around $50 and they had discovered the vibration was due to a loose bolt that was now tightened and fixed. We picked the car up Friday and I was informed they charged me 1/2 the labor bringing this new additional bill to $270 for a total of $3,570. Paying so much when the original issue was under $500 definitely isn't ideal. However, that is not the reason for my low review. For me, I feel they should have checked that the original problem was fixed before giving it back to me the first time. The biggest issue was how I was treated by the owner. I would not want anyone else to have to experience that I had. The other two workers were very polite and respectful.

I own a 2007 Toyota rav 4, and that car runs like a top, and it's because of them. They have not only repaired my car but taught me along the way. They have taught me how to care for my car and keep it in top form. They work with my budget and are always respectful knowledgeable and friendly. He researches any problems fixes them in a timely manner, and provides excellent customer service. It is a family business, so they are closed weekends. They also have reasonable pricing.

I scheduled a follow-up appointment and dropped my car off first thing in the morning. After wasting an entire day waiting, I called at 4 PM only to be told they hadn't even looked at my car because they were "too busy." If that's the case, what's the point of making an appointment? Things only got worse from there. When I returned to the shop and expressed my concerns, staff openly used the F-word in front of me, complained about having to deal with the issue, and showed zero professionalism. Instead of standing behind their work, they suddenly claimed the noise was coming from somewhere else and that there was nothing they could do. Jaden was especially rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. If you don't know much about cars, don't expect clear or honest explanations. I paid $800, got the same problem back within three days, lost an entire day because my appointment was ignored, and was treated disrespectfully when I returned for help. Save your money. Not being from the area based in prior reviews I drove to the shop arriving before 9:00 AM and I believe that the gentleman already in the shop name was Fez - he was very helpful and ideally I agreed to purchase two used rims with tires doing cash and carry. After getting them back to my car unfortunately the rim star pattern was to large - I took the wheels back initially seeking a refund to locate rims at another location - working with after placing the calipers on the holes it was agreed the tires wouldn't work - I didn't need four rims but they happened to have four rims for my make and model and with trade if my remaining good rims and cash we agreed to a price and the rims are in my car. Being six hours from home finding a shop like NGR and the service approach to meet me at a comfortable place to purchase four versus two rims was very refreshing. If I lived here without question I would return to this shop and attempt to give them more business. Plus they list opening at 9AM - they're open easily 30 minutes before. Thank you!

He checked my jeep and spent time diagnosing. He filled the jeep up with coolant, then gave me an extra jug for the ride. The best part besides his care and attentiveness, he refused to take any money, not a dime! He just wanted me to get home safe to nyc. If you want an honest, caring mechanic Ali is your man.
