Located in a shopping mall, parking can get fairly busy around dinner time. Inside isn't that big with 6 table tops that sit up to 4. Dine in and to go. Great customer service, two gentlemen catered to our table. However in the Tom Kha Hot Pot there was a very large wire piece in the soup. I informed the server that it was there and took the soup. Server asked if we wanted another one and we said no. He came back to our table and said he would comp the appetizers that we ordered (Crab Rangoon's and Egg Rolls). Which he didn't after checking the receipt after checking out. Which in the case the hot pot was taken back we shouldn't have paid at all for it, but we were charged. Crab Rangoon's: $7.95 (5) Wasn't a fan the wonton wasn't cooked fully, still doughy and only tasted like cream cheese. Egg Rolls: $5.95 (5) Were decent Received our entrees before our appetizers too. Tom Kha Hot Pot Chicken: $16.95 Tasted like soap w/ lemon and a very creamy taste. Serval large Bay leafs and lemongrass pieces Paw Kee Mao: $13.95 Beef Husband enjoyed his dish came with two egg rolls and a banana egg-roll dessert with caramel sauce for dipping. Said served with a side salad didn't receive the side salad. I ordered the same thing just only veggies $11.95 I felt like noodles were over cooked and were salty also didn't receive the side salad. Crispy Orange Chicken w/ rice: $13.95 Excellent crisp to the chicken but the sauce wasn't good it lacked orange flavor and had a weird taste to it. Yellow Curry w/ Chicken: $13.95 Was water and lacked flavor Tried to order dessert but they were out of the sticky Mango Rice. I had felt like this place was going to be great and deliver great food, especially from a few reviews I read. Food wasn't great nothing spectacular to rave about. It was really like a fast food Thai cuisine that didn't deliver the Thai flavors. Everything just tasted like it came from a bad box/jar processed sauces/food. Nothing tasted like in house made. Plus with almost paying $100, I wasn't comped what was said would be and for the lack of cleanliness. I was very disappointed. Bowls were dirty when they brought them out for the soup that had a foreign object in it, that any of us could've choked on. Don't expect this to be like some elegant restaurant place to come in. But it is a cool place it's like a fast food setting. Kind of like a grab and go kind of thing. This is close to my home and I am a big fan of all Thai food except the exotic food of course lol!! The menu can be complicated if there's a line of people behind you. Today there was nobody there to rush me so I can just actually read and try to understand how the menu works :) The server cashier was cool he did modify our plate making our day cool for us. I think they gave him grief for his customer service in the back. Those guys in the back should just let him be. Overall he was really cool. Customer service was great but the food quality didn't match the service. Yellow curry was watery and lacked flavor, egg-rolls were mushy inside and crab ragoons were slightly under cooked. Customer service was meh. It was our first time and we didn't know what to order, so the guy at the counter was just waiting on us. Pretty awkward for some minutes and we had to let him know we were newbies. Yet, he didn't offer any suggestions or recommendations. I guess if you're in a hurry and need a quick bite or some food to cover your hunger for a bit, this place would do it's job. That's just what it did for us. I saw that another Qwik Thai is opening in Skye Canyon already and thought "WOW! This place must be good because they are already opening another one!" It's a small restaurant with seating for about 12, but unsure if that's all the time or because of Covid. You order at the register, and then They take your phone number, and you'll get a text when you're food is ready. I wasn't too fond of the Pad Thai, Unfortunately. :( I can't tell if the flavor was lacking or not the flavor I wanted. The fried rice was better than the pad Thai, but nothing special. Wow! This place really surprised me. I noticed a high rating and was slightly skeptical. I thought, "How could a fast-food version of Thai food be so delicious?" Well, this place figured out a way to make it work. The skewered meats (or tofu) are reminiscent of Thailand's famous "street food." I believe that your "protein of choice" is skewered rather than "mixed in" because it allows the restaurant to speed up the process. I don't mind this type of serving style. I think the barbecued meat adds another dimension of flavor (and texture) to the dish. I ordered the following items: * Tofu Fried rice - I took one bite and was taken aback by how good it tasted - considering that this is supposed to be "fast food." The skewered tofu (AKA satay) was delicious. * Chicken Fried rice - my family had it and they thoroughly enjoyed it. They commented about how well-seasoned the grilled chicken was. * Pad Thai - good flavor & perfectly cooked noodles. Everyone loved it. * Panang curry - thick, rich, and well-balanced curry. I love a thick curry, so this made me happy :) Pour this on some fried rice and you've got yourself a good meal. * Ginger salad - good dressing and a nice size, but the carrots had a white coating on them. They probably came from a pre-packaged bag. * Matcha Green Tea - I did not like this. It was too sweet and syrupy. My final thoughts? I really like this place. We were told that my wife would have a credit under her cell phone number that we could use on our next order. So, tonight my wife drives over, makes the order, then asks for the credit. They then tell her that it has to be the original credit card that made the first order, which she does not have in her possession. Nope, too much hassle, I like their food, but we will not be returning. We are regular customers, and order from there at least twice a month. Food is consistently good. We ordered the hangover noodle soup today, got home and there appeared to be no noodles in the soup. My husband called and the man who answered the phone insisted that he put noodles in there. He curtly asked if we wanted to come back in for a replacement, so my husband went back in. The man insisted that we bring the soup in with us so he could see. No apologies, just matter of factly made us feel foolish or like we were lying. My husband brought it back, and the man found "a few" noodles in the soup, and just added a spoonful of noodles to the existing soup. He said, "sorry for the confusion," and sent my husband on his way, and he didn't argue because he was hungry and wanted to eat his food which was getting cold at home. I get it. The pandemic has hit businesses hard, and it's easy to get frustrated with customers who complain. But we are loyal customers. We don't complain. We have recommended this place to many people. Customer service is everything. Don't make your customers feel stupid or essentially call us a liar. The food gets 5 stars, but the customer service is extremely lacking. read more
