Singapore 77. Singapore Rice Noodle without curry
JJ A.

China One is easily one of the best spots around for fresh, flavorful Chinese food. I've tried a variety of dishes here, shrimp chop suey, fried tofu with vegetables, shrimp with lobster sauce, orange chicken, beef pepper steak, General chicken, sweet & sour chicken, plus both egg drop and hot & sour soups, and every single one was made fresh to order. Even the lunch specials are delicious, generous in portion, and very affordable. Great food, great value, always consistent, friendly, and clean ambiance...highly recommend!

Supposedly this is Teriyaki Chicken.

Not sure what this is supposed to be, I ordered Teriyaki Chicken. A friend picked this up for me, otherwise if I would have seen this before I left the restaurant, I wouldn't have left with it. And if I hadn't been crunched for time, I would have brought it right back! I did take a couple bites...totally lacking in flavor. Visually unappealing! I'm clueless! First time "eating" from there, and the last time.

Good chili paste

Great food. They keep trying to use terrible Sriracha chili paste though. Please stop. It tastes like cinnamon, sugar, and broken dreams.

I always come to China1. It's the best Chinese place in the whole area for 17 years. I've been coming here and I love it.

More of a take out restaurant. The food is very good and plentiful. Order at the counter. They do have inside seating.

We got there ahead two tables, but both were served first and got their food first. When ordering, they even had to ask us who arrived first (Which was my table and logistically I'd imagine they had a better track of) but still was served last. Lastly, we had to wait 20 minutes (not very busy at the time) just to get the check which was a pain considering the slow service at the start.

The first time we ordered the duck, fried rice, the salted egg yolk prawns, noodles, the eggplant (my favorite). I loved everything except the duck. I did not enjoy that as it was a little too far from the roasted duck I was expecting. The service is friendly for a Chinese restaurant and the food comes fast and piping hot and I really enjoy that you can see the chefs making your food. It really adds to the ambiance and know that your food is freshly made. After watching some videos of what other people liked to order, I decided to get the crispy beef and that single dish is life changing. If you order nothing else at chinamama, order the crispy beef. Its sweet. Its savory. Its crispy. Its honestly perfect. If I were to only eat that and the eggplant for the rest of my life, I would be happy.

The shop, by comparison though, is on the smaller side; so come early or expect to wait a little. This is a popular spot with locals! As we stepped inside, it felt like we were transported back to one of these noodle spots in Hong Kong. Service here is casual and direct, just the way I like it at these joints. Food is legit; we enjoyed everything we ordered and the I especially loved the beef chow fun -- flavorful and well-executed (no noodles sticking together!). This is going on our list of must-visit whenever we come to Vegas!

We ordered the two-item combo with roasted duck and honey-glazed BBQ pork, along with wonton soup and chow mein. Everything was delicious, especially the duck. The wonton soup was also very flavorful, although I wish it had come with a few more wontons. I also thought the vegetables paired really well with the meals. The restaurant is a bit small and cramped, so it may not be the best place to dine with a large group. The service was quick, although we did feel a little rushed, likely because of the limited seating. Overall, the food was excellent, and I'll definitely be back.

Yum Cha is nearby where my daughters and I were staying in Las Vegas (LV). I read some great…read morereviews. Thought we check them out. It is located in the Trop Plaza on Tropicana Ave and Decatur Blvd. Plenty of parking. Spacious inside with lots of seating. Klaws and other games were near the entrance which I find interesting especially in a Chinese restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. They weren't super busy on a Monday late morning. Our server was pleasant and amicable. He attended to us frequently throughout our dining. Other lady servers brought us our food timely. Thank you All! Menu offers quite a variety... reg dim sum, delicious dim sum, chef specialties, house specialties, super dim sum, vegan no-meat dim sum, congee, noodles, rice dishes, appetizers, entrees, lunch specials, and more. Prices of the dim sum vary from $5.98 and up. We chose a handful of dim sum and one Shrimp & Pork Wonton Egg Noodles. Overall, dim sum was decent. A few of them could have been better in preparation, flavor, and taste. Wonton noodles were tasty. *Bean Sauce Chicken Feet - skin was on the tougher side, could have been more tender, sauce was too thick, flavor was okay *Crispy Taro Pancake - top layer was crispy, but taro fell apart when picked up by chopsticks *Egg Tarts - light and flaky crust with soft, smooth & jiggly egg custard filling, amazingly good, definitely would get again, wished it came with 3 instead of 2, they are bigger than normal egg tarts, but still *Fried Pork Ball - just okay, nothing special *Golden Sand Lava - huge baked bun with lots of oozing sandy egg yolk, must get! *Shrimp Dumpling - full of shrimps in thin skin, tasty filling, good size, worth the price! *Shrimp & Pork Chives Dumpling - more chives than shrimp and pork, flavor was mediocre *Shrimp & Pork Shumai - surprisingly flavorful, but wished there was more shrimp than pork Glad we got a chance to try this place. I would return to try their other dim sum and lunch specials in future LV visits. Worth stopping by if you haven'ty already.

Set up was a little different, no carts, but there was a huge counter that displayed a lot of the dim sum...similar to take out counter in a market. They do table service and order from menu. Menu had a lot of photos and easy to navigate. The good: turnip cake-crispy and not oily, flavor of wonton Soup was good, Gai lan Chinese broccoli was tasty. Dumplings like Hargow, and siu Mai tasted a little old. Wrapper dry and filling was denser in texture. Tripe stew had good flavor but texture was mushy (passed the point of tender) Service was fine, staff was available when needed, but overall felt quality/ambiance could be better. Maybe better during prime time or breakfast.
