Designworks gave us a sparkling new hardwood floor and cushiony top-of-the line carpeting on the 2nd floor for the first job. Paul came highly recommended by friends and quite frankly when you see his work it sells itself. We went with them even though the estimate was higher than another contractor because this company bases their estimates off the costs of the highest priced supplies. The real cost depends on the quality of product you choose to have installed. So these estimates are truely accurate if you want the best product in your property investment. Given the amount of stress I was under due to planning our wedding in 3 months, moving and changing employers, working with Designworks was a stress relief. When the work was complete my house was sparkling. They vacuumed the entire house, no foot prints, saw dust or any trace of their presence was left behind! They handled demolition, moving heavy appliances out of the kitchen and recommended tiling for the entryways to preserve the life of the wood. Being a new homeowner I was so thankful for Paul's knowledge. He clearly communicated all costs and any decisions we had to make. We just hired Designworks to update our bathroom venthilation system and toilets this past April,2012. Again, so happy with the work. For all our future home improvement and customizations, I know where I'm taking my business.

We struggled for over a year to find someone to help us retro-fit our lower cabinet and counter top for a new cook top. Then we found Paul! When I decided I needed doors for my office, Paul was the first person I thought of because I wanted the job done right and to look great. I am so happy with the outcome. I highly recommend him!

We were very pleased with the outcome. I want to especially recognize the stellar work done by Bryan Lamoureux, head carpenter. For years, I had nightmares that the second floor of the house was going to collapse. When Bryan took the kitchen ceiling back to the bare joists, he found out that somebody had cut massive holes in those joists to run a pipe through them. This made the house structurally unsound. Bryan showed us the holes and proposed a solution to make the house sound. The "bounce" that we experienced while walking around on the second floor disappeared, and so did my nightmares. Bryan is a superb young carpenter with old-school knowledge and values. Thank you, Bryan! I also want to recognize kitchen designer Jane Scammon. We told her what we wanted, and she immediately drew up an inspired design proposal for us. We bought tiles and cabinets based on her design, and we love the new look. Thank you, Jane!

After receiving a number of quotes and timelines, I decided to go with Luis. Luis and his team were amazing. Out of all the different groups of people you deal with when selling a home - plumbers, haulers, landscapers etc.. Luis's group was by far the most polite and professional I came across. The quotes he gave me were reasonable and always accurate, his work completion timeline always what he said, and the quality of the work was excellent. His workers are focused and work very hard day after day until completion. I was very impressed. I initially hired him to paint all walls, ceilings, doors and window trims. This job involved removing wallpaper, patching holes, filling cracks and painting with great precision. Once I saw the quality of his work; I asked him to continue with other jobs in the home. Ultimately he helped me tile a bathroom, drywall a couple ceilings, repair trim on the exterior of the house and lay new floor across 300sq ft. Every job completed at a reasonable price for the excellent quality you are getting. I really do not know how I could have prepared the home as quickly as I did without them. I would hire Luis and his crew again in a heartbeat and have already recommended him to my neighbors who are in need of some work soon. Thank you again,

Ian took the time to talk on the phone when I first reached out about the project and the scope of work. He even reviewed some drawings I had done of the space and pointed out some things to think about for the layout (such as if we moved the fridge, we'd have to make sure we could access a water line for the ice maker). Ian met with us at the house to talk about the project, and we engaged Ian and IDR shortly thereafter. All told, the renovation took about 4 weeks, which was a great timeline and we are very pleased with how it came out. Ian was responsive, polite, and overall a pleasure to work with, and his subcontractors were polite, unobtrusive and cleaned up each day. We were fortunate in that we had a clear vision of what we wanted (which made the design process easy), but Ian truly helped bring that vision to life and thought of ways to make it better that we hadn't thought of, all while never being pushy or disrespectful. We highly recommend Ian and the IDR team and we look forward to the opportunity to work with him again.
