Quick, friendly, organized place to recycle so many things. From copper to cardboard, aluminum to plastic...quality recycling is the place to go. read more

I'd been lugging recyclables in my trunk for two weeks because the little Replanet Recycling place behind my local grocery store had a sinfully long line every time I showed up. No way I was gonna stand around in the 90 something degree weather waiting for that, psh. I stumbled upon Quality Recycling when I stopped by the Precision Automotive located in the same lot for a smog. I only had one bag of plastic and a few bottles and cans but I was able to dump them into their green bins (one of the nice guys there did have to help me pull one of the bins off another; definitely appreciated it). I was out of there within a couple minutes. Great experience! read more

This place is the best recycle center in San Diego. They always treat us with respect and although they are firm on their times they always try to make things work out. I've never once had a bad experience in the years I've been going here. Everyone who works here is super cool and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

The guys were so nice helping me and my granddaughter. This is the fastest recycling center I've ever been. They were closing in an hour but helped us out. It definitely was busy. Not sure if it was because it was a Saturday or they were closing soon. If they weren't so far from where I live I would just go there. Bankers Hill is a long way. read more

They accepted my cardboard boxes and I love dropping off my recycled can, bottles, and plastic here.

Hard working respectful staff. The parking lot is small shared with an auto repair shop, that's the only draw back. Wish they'd expand.

My son and brought plastic bottles and aluminum cans to this center yesterday and while the business was extremely busy we were able to exchange them for cash in less than 30 minutes. I recommend sorting your bottles and cans before visiting and having a 2 people team to be able to line up upon arrival, grab bins right away and make runs to your vehicle to get your boxes/bags. They have plenty of bins and tons of people working and they're all very pleasant. Also, recommend bringing working gloves as the recycle bins are pretty dirty. We will come back for sure to this site as our experience was very positive. :) read more

Great set of men there! They work so hard to get us moving quickly through the line of customers. Always very helpful and pleasant! We often forget to be kinder to one another. These guys deserve much more respect then they're given! I appreciate you guys. Thank you for your amazing service! read more

One star because they are open. They will cheat you. They are rude. I'm guessing because we are Asian. Two workers walked past us and did not tell us our garbage cans were not in the right spot. Another customer told us to move them forward or they would not weigh them. Worker accused us of claiming a garbage can full was ours when it was not. We told workers it was not ours and they blamed us for putting can in our line. It was workers who made a mess of everything. Go to Miramar. read more

I went to recycle stuff for my dad. It was so hot , but the folks there tried to work as fast as they could. They were pretty organized. They were friendly too. Their rates are decent too .It was good too see so many people trying to be eco friendly & recycling their stuff. read more

I feel like sometimes I am underpaid by at least 15% for my recycling if its by weight, especially if I use their newer looking bins that are less worn out and therefore heavier. And they wont take containers by count for CRV if its more than 50 count. Better than nothing though. Their service is always prompt. read more

The guys here are always working hard to get you in n out as fast as they can. Busy time is always noon so i suggest going after 2pm less people. You also have to seperate everything before they take you it's a really easy process. read more

1st timer here. Got there at 8 they didn't start letting us in till 815 as they were getting situated. Some of the customers today had their recycle a bit in the way of the employees while they opened, the employee kicks the customers recycle and says your in the way we are trying to get our stuff out. Employee had a raiders hat on. Also 2 employees didnt have a mask on. 1 on the fork lift and 1 dumping plastics into bins. During this time EVERYONE should have a mask on. Other then this it was fast moving. read more

I just had to say, what a delight to have Quality Recycling in POWAY! I had the pleasure to have some help from Dawn yesterday while turning in my recycling. Dawn was AMAZING!! Before I had all my bags even open she was helping pour my crushed cans and plastics into trash cans. Quality Recycling is the only place where they actually HELP you, bring you bins, very fast and efficient! I have been a "Quality Recycler" for at least the last 20+ years and have ALWAYS gone to Josh in LAKESIDE. Since moving, I haven't had a chance to get out there to see him, recycle and say 'Hi'. Now with the gas prices as high as they are currently, finding Quality Recycling in POWAY not only is sooooo much closer to me but because I waited soooo long to recycle, I made over $100!! WhooHoo!! I'll be back to see Dawn in a few months when I have more to recycle. I feel great for doing a small part for the environment and I got PAID TOO!! SCORE!! read more

Awesome recycling place!!! They didn't even get pissed when I showed up right at 4:58 in a Friday!!! Super helpful and made some $$ so it's all good!!!!! Come here with your recycling!!!!! read more

I was there today not satisfied with their Customer Service.DIEGO has attitude it looks like he does not want to work..you can see it on his reaction to his face and he keeps nodding his head while his helping me and he is saying words instead of helping me..Not very good customer service ...he can just stay home ..instead of working...totally rude.. read more

Just Wow!!! Amazing team line was fully booked manage to get us out in less then 10 minutes now these guys are what I call essential workers!! Go Quality Recycling!! read more

With all the recycling centers closing down in the PQ/RB area, our bottles kept piling. Finally had to yelp a place that recycles and so happy that there was one in poway and it wasn't too far from us. The center was quick and easy and considering it was a holiday that we went, flow of traffic wasn't too bad and my experience was pleasant!!! Definitely gonna keep coming back!! read more

The best thing about quality recycling: I get paid to recycle rather than paying the city to empty my overflowing recycle bin! The location is next to all the dealerships and auto shops, which is a great location to me. I'm not sure how the prices compare as this is the only recycling center I've been to since moving to Cali. In Michigan, I was spoiled by getting 10 cents per bottle/can but now it's ~$1.10 per pound. At least it's enough to provide me with cash for Costco Food Court! They are also the only ones I've seen that uses a $2 bill on a regular basis. Recommendations: *Bring ear plugs as it's LOUD while they're running the glass bottle machine. *Use gloves as the plastic bins you put everything into are covered with old beer. The staff is friendly but at times, you need to let them know you're ready so they can get off their cell phones. read more

Best Recycling Center In San Diego!! Fast Easy An Convenient!!! Highly Recommend It!!! They Have An Awesome Creewww!!!!

This is a great place for your recycling products - it's very conveniently located right off Poway Road. The staff is always polite and friendly and they will assist you in sorting your items. Also, what I found very helpful was that they will advise you as to what products are acceptable; so, if you're not sure about an item, take it along anyway, you may be surprised to find that it was worth something after all. read more

Never been to a recycling place before and I did my research before settling on Quality Recycling. They give you cash for your goods. Recommend separating your aluminium, glass, and plastic, etc. before you come. I should start bringing them my cardboard boxes, too, instead of throwing them in my blue bin at home (why pay Waste Management to take your recycling when you can get money for it?!) I went on a Friday afternoon and the guys were helpful and friendly. Super quick and easy. I was told it gets crowded in the mornings and their parking lot isn't huge. Conveniently located in Poway. As others have said, they do give you $2 bills, which is cool. Will come here every time I have recycling. read more

Went it to toss a bunch of cardboard for free. Easy access to bins, will go back in the future for sure.

The "WORST" thing about Quality Recycling: your going to be belittled and cheated out of money. This is not a "Quality" place to visit. I've been to this location about a dozen times over the past year and half and I started noticing they would "cut people in front of me". Even if people arrived after me and I was finished sorting before them and was obviously the next person. The first few times this happened I thought coincidental. However, in some instances I noticed that if I was the ONLY person in line~they'd delay in helping me until others arrived and still "cut others in front of me" or complete my ticket right along with all the others. To be honest I was bothered but not extremely annoyed, so I just let it go. However, today really BOTHERED me tremendously. I'm considering calling in the BBB (better business bureau). So today they did the typical "cutting people in front of me" and I noticed that me and another girl had same amount and she received a lot more funds than me. So, now I'm pissed. Because not only are you being rude to me (for some odd reason) but now your not being FAIR to me financially!!!!!!! I definitely have to do something about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I go here all the time but one specific worker Diego Cabanilla is one rude person. Every time I get him he is always in a bad mood doesnt say one word to me.. maybe he is mute or deaf.. also he always cheats me for lb. not that I care.. I still go there because it's closest to my home.. read more

Update to previous review: In hindsight, it should have been 1 star because of how we were treated.

Quick and easy service! Don't have to crush your cans or take the lids off water bottles.

Fast, efficient and a great place to recycle and immediately receive cash in hand for recycling and saving the environment. Half a dozen employees moved the line along FAST. Took me less than 20 minutes from parking to receiving cash....other recyclers would have been 60-90 minutes...then a trip top the supermarket to exchange the coupon for cash....another 10-15 minutes. WOW QUALITY is RIGHT here in POWAY! read more

About the only recycler still open but they do a good job. They're really fast at getting people in and out and there's a young man there that's always very helpful. read more

So happy to have this recycling center in Poway. The guys there are always helpful and pleasant. I only collect plastic and aluminum, so I usually only go every other month. I also never go on weekends, so I avoid long waits. Also, they accept appliances and other bulky metal items- like old patio chairs- Thus you avoid going to the dump. Thanks!!! read more

This is pretty much the only recycling place to which I'll go. The staff there are friendly and efficient and lines move quickly. They pay you directly there, as opposed to having to cash in a receipt at Vons the same day. I've never had an issue there or an unpleasant experience. read more

I've been here before, where they deserved maybe 3 stars at best, but today they earned zero stars. After unloading and dragging a bunch of heavy items into the disgusting trash cans that they provide, they informed me that they don't take anything without a CA CRV. Then they allowed two people to cut in front of me. Both parties arrived after me and I was finished sorting before them. One appeared to be a friend of theirs and the other was a pretty girl with short-shorts on.They even loaded her recyclables for her, while the rest of us had to drag them to the garage. I didn't realize that I needed to wear shorts to get help around there! The guy that finally helped me had a bad attitude and acted like I was bothering him. Ridiculous!! read more

Hit and miss, they think everyone else in town doesn't get it. We do though, two bags gets me $15 one day and $8.50 another........I get it. I gotta hope they in a good mood. Crappy way to do business but who u going to complain to. That almost guarantees $8.50 if I said something. read more

Taking the recyclables back is a yucky job. Taking them here makes the best of it. The guys here are always super helpful and nice. If you have lots of bags like we always do, you don't have to put the stuff in the bins, they'll just load the bags right on to the conveyer for you. In and out quickly. read more

Would avoid going on weekends to avoid crowds but otherwise it is very convenient. The only suggestion I would like to see is for the containers to have wheels on them so we don't have to pick them up. read more

Place is very loud and they don't help you separate the heavy green jugs that they just stack on each other. But we go through a lot of cans of soda and I always leave with $70 my pocket, That makes up for the inconvenience and effort. I wash up at Wal-Mart afterwards and have a nice meal as a reward for all this hard work. Great place to take your recycling. Gets very busy on the weekend. read more

Brought some aluminum awnings to recycle recently. They provided information over the phone. They were helpful upon arrival, told me where to unload and brought a few dumpsters. There was a three-day wait time which I don't really understand but ended up being okay. Just glad I didn't live far away to have to make another trip to the yard. read more

Yes, it's dirty and noisy...but it's a recycle facility so that's what I would expect. I believe they have always paid me correctly and the occasional two-dollar-bills are cool. read more

Normally go to RePlanet but the service is horrible and lines are long. So we decided to try Quality out. For a first timer it looked a little intimidating because there were a lot of people and there didn't seem to be an organization. But once you see that you just grab some empty bins, fill them up and enter the line, it is pretty smooth. We wend on a Saturday and there was a lot of people. Once we filled our four bins and entered the line, we only waited a few minutes. Definitely coming back here. read more

Be sure to separate your plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and other recyclables. I got a small scolding for having some cans mixed in with my plastic bottles. read more
