Super easy way to recycle old computer equipment. Drive there, make sure you follow the signs to the drop off location in the back of the building. Pop the back hatch open. An employee brings over a cart, takes you stuff and off you go. Will take some old TVs and VCRs next time. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I would avoid taking your electronics here. We dropped off a TV for recycling that was broken and we were unable to clear all our data off. Since dropping it off, we have been hacked in all of our accounts that are associated with the TV. It has been a big headache. read more

Love this place! I purged so many e-waste items because EnviroGreen made it so easy. All the cables, laptop power adapters, batteries and fire sticks were free to drop off. The hard drives were free as well if you didn't want them destroyed. I wanted the peace of mind they were destroyed so I paid the $5 per drive. Well worth it! My garbage disposal, which i never use started leaking so i removed it and just connected the pipes and was looking for a place to recycle it. I called envirogreen and they said they'd take it and there was no charge! I told a coworker that i was going to take my old garbage disposal here, he said, "can't you just throw it in your garbage?" Sure but it would just end up in a land fill. I'm not sure if these guys will refurbish it or use it for scrap metal, but either way it's better than just letting it go to the landfill. If i can be refurbished I'm sure they'll salvage it and give it new life, if not the metal will be scrapped, melted down and reused in some way. Either way i like the idea of not just tossing something in the trash because its convenient. They take a lot of different things including electronics which lots of people seem to charge for. I used these guys exclusively for my recycling. I would setup an appointment, set all my recycle equipment out on the sidewalk at the curb for them to pickup. More than once they would not show up and the stuff would sit through the weekend. Needless to say my landlord did not appreciate this. They would always pick up for free so I guess I would get what I paid for. This last time they quoted $150 to pick up my recycle which I think is ridiculous. Why would I pay someone to make money from my stuff? If they want it, come and get it. I finally just dumped them in the dumpster, so much for recycling. I do not recommend them. read more

I'm not an e-recycling expert by any means, but I've visited most of the e-waste establishments around town, including the one that never seems to be open, the one that hardly accepts anything, and the one that smells funny. You know what I'm talking about. But Envirogreen Recycling is definitely the best e-recycling place around town! I'm not gonna lie - it helps that this place is in my 'hood. It also helps that every single time I have been here (and that's TWO whole times!) the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The first time, one staff member came out into the pouring rain to help me transport my e-waste into the store. The second time, the same employee helped again - and by "help", I mean he carried two desktops, two laptops and a bag of cords all in one trip while I watched. They can drill a hole through your hard drives, if you don't have the means to wipe it clean. This place is a little hidden - it's in the strip mall just south of Friars Rd on the West side of Riverdale, in the back behind the other stores. read more

Unfortunately Envirogreen really caused a problem for me. I'd called on a Monday to have two old heavy TVs with the big backsides picked up for recycling. They told me they would pick up the TVs sometime the coming Wednesday for a fee of $15. I thought this was great, because I had to be out of my place the day after or face fines for overstaying. My furniture had already been picked up by Above All Movers (great company), my storage was filled to the max, and there was no way I could carry those dinosaurs myself or fit them in my car. So I was really counting on Envirogreen to come through. But...they NEVER SHOWED UP! I called their office around 8am asking for an estimated arrival time. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and said she'd text the driver to find out an ETA and call me back. An hour or so went by and I still hadn't heard from Envirogreen, so I called again. The woman on the phone was still friendly, but said the driver hadn't texted her back yet. After a while I got tired of waiting (I did after all, have a move to finish, storage to organize, etc.), so I called one last time and asked if I could just tape the $15 to one of the TVs so they could complete the pick up if I wasn't there. "Sure!", she said! I came back hours later and the TVs (and the $15) were STILL THERE. At 6pm, the TVs were STILL THERE. That was two weeks ago and I've still never heard anything from Envirogreen. What was the driver doing? Supposedly he wasn't answering his own coworker's texts and he definitely wasn't picking up my TVs! read more

Once again I had the very urgent need to have my PC desktop reprogramed because Windows 7-8 did a allyoop by removing their security systems from their programs. And who came to the rescue? The cost to reprogram over to Windows 10 was extremely good as they have a license to work with several programing companies. I dropped it off in the AM and the very next day it was ready to go in the AM. I highly recommend that you bring any problem with your computer, monitor, keyboard, laptop, etc., etc. in and they will most likely take all of the hiccups and glitches out of it and give you a clean bill of health. You can't ask for anything better than that. My empire was saved and back on line in just a few short hours.
