I cannot recommend Angelika enough! We took our 9-month-old lab, Scout, to Quality K-9 for obedience training and help with some behavioral issues, such as jumping up and pulling on walks. The training took place at her facility in Dewey, AZ, where Scout stayed for the duration and was treated like family. Angelika even let Scout sleep in their bedroom (don't believe this is part of the normal program but goes to show how dedicated Angelika is to making the training personal). They were incredibly flexible with start and pick-up dates, which we greatly appreciated during a busy time for us. From the start, it was clear that Angelika is knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about helping dogs and their owners. The training sessions were tailored specifically to Scout's personality and needs, and the progress has been amazing. Using positive reinforcement techniques, Angelika not only addressed the issues quickly but also helped Scout build confidence. She kept us updated with regular communication, including progress videos. Now, Scout walks calmly on a leash, no longer jumps on guests, and responds much better to commands. During the pick-up session, Angelika and her husband, Tino, took the time to thoroughly explain the "why" behind each technique, ensuring we felt confident continuing the training at home. Angelika also made herself available for follow-up questions and provided helpful resources to reinforce everything we learned. Extremely unimpressed with this company. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to bring their dog to this place. I will start by saying that Tino and Angelika said it would take 4 weeks to train and if it ran over a few more days or a week we wouldn't be charged, which was totally ok. Well each week they kept pushing it back and back.... and let me tell you they never gave us an end date to his training, they kept making real peculiar excuses each time we reached out.. 7 weeks later after finally scheduling a pick up date ONE HOUR before we were going to drive down to pick up our dog, Tino called requesting they keep the dog longer. We didn't take no for an answer and ended up picking him up as scheduled. When we picked him up he was so thin (you could see his ribs), had a terrible ear infection, and had cuts and scabs all over his body. He drank 3 full bowls of water and ate a huge bowl of food within the rest of the night that he was first home & has been eating and drinking more than usual. To touch on the ear infection- his ear was inflamed, bright red and hot... You could tell it had been bothering him for some time. When they called and told us it was probably a week after (they had said he had been stubborn with training since his ear had been bothering him) and you would have thought that as soon as they noticed something was off with him they would notify us immediately to keep us in the loop... but nope! Typical "quality" K-9 fashion. Instead of keeping us updated (like a decent, trustworthy professional who is taking care of your animal for more than 1 month would do), they kept us in the dark the whole time with his training- rarely answered the phone and had vague answers and updates. They never did an initial consult with the dog to see if it is something they can take on, they only met with us to show us their facility. I could go on and on about this unscrupulous business, but I'll just end it with this place was a joke and I have a really bad feeling about what actually took place. read more

My Dad has been going overseas for over ten years as a contractor for the military. A few months ago he finalized his last 6 months and retirement date. He realized before he finished his last tour he wanted to bring something special home with him to remember the Middle East. He fell in love with two Afghanistan street puppies. After they made their journey back to the United States, he spent a couple weeks with them and he had to head back overseas. We have two dogs of our own and the prospect of training two puppies with our two older dogs was slightly overwhelming. In came Quality k-9 to the rescue! Angelika and Tino were up for the challenge of training the pups. Not only did they do a great job, but they had great communication along the way. (We have had previous trainers for our own dogs in the past that did not communicate well). Tino and Angelika had explained to us the puppies were probably too young to begin training, but due to the circumstances of my dad returning back overseas for several months they were willing to work with both the girls early. Due to the puppies being so young, they needed extra training which Angelika and Tino were happy to do, at no additional cost. More importantly, they were focused on providing great training to the girls. We were thrilled once we did our personalized training session to get the girls back home. One of the pups didn't know how to be on a leash and would lay down instantly when it was put on. Neither of the girls were potty trained and they loved counter surfing and needed basic overall training on commands. At our lesson we were amazed to see the results! Tino and Angelika had fully leashed trained the girls, as well as recall, sitting, staying, laying etc. they were both new pups, which is all the more impressive because the first two months of their lives they were wild street dogs. The girls love to work and are so happy ands responsive when we use the commands at home! We appreciate everything they did for us and more! Mrs. Angelica and Mr. Tito's training techniques were a true Godsend. They brought out the very best behavior in our new baby girl Blue. I must admit, I was extremely apprehensive about leaving our 4 month old baby girl with total strangers. But once Mrs. Angelica sent us Blue's first progress report, complete with action photos, I realized that Blue was not just going to be a dog she and her husband boarded... Angelika and Tino are special people and professionals in their craft. After meeting with them I purchased a package with plans to begin training after moving into my new home. After explaining this to Angelika she offered to help lighten my load and board my 10 month old Rottweiler for 2 weeks at their home, training each day. The night I showed up to board my pup she went into her first heat cycle, which they didn't flinch at. I received multiple updates throughout each week. They explained she was a good girl, eager to learn but slightly distracted as she was in heat. That being said Angelika offered to keep her for two more weeks as she wanted her results to be where we discussed. I'll add, they did this at no additional cost, and the entire 4 week boarding/training only swallowed up half of the original package I purchased. When I went to pick my dog up she was thrilled. I could also tell she gained two new family members, Angelika and Tino. They both walked me through her commands and how to handle her, correcting me and introducing me to my new and improved pup. 8 months later and my dog has stayed on top of her commands, behavior is great! Angelika and Tino have trained two of my pups and they did an excellent job. While they were boarded, I would request updates and photos and they were responsive, thorough, and sent the cutest pics of the dogs. They did keep both a little longer than expected, but for good reason. I would rather my dog stay and get the training and attention it needs than be on a tight schedule and lose out on some key training moments. One of my dogs is a Shiba, who is pretty independent and strong-willed. After training, his behavior changed drastically. When we welcomed our Labrador retriever puppy, Charlie, into our family almost three years ago, we wanted her to be a part of our active lifestyle in a stress-free way. We knew that would require an investment of our time and resources into basic obedience training, but what we didn't realize at the time was how profound an impact that training would have on us as a family. We first left Charlie with Angelika and Tino when she was just 10 weeks old for a 2-week board and train in their home. We had interviewed other dog trainers prior but it wasn't until we met Angelika that we really felt at peace with leaving our new puppy. The foundation of on-leash training Charlie received during that stay was an eye-opening experience into what was possible for her. In the weekly follow-up classes that we attended (which we still attend 2.5 years later!) it became apparent to us just how much of dog training is human training. Angelika and Tino worked patiently with us as we learned to effectively communicate with Charlie as leaders of her pack. We also realized how much Charlie thrives in a training environment. Learning and practicing new commands has provided a purposeful, positive outlet for her energy and has helped to foster her happy, calm, and loving temperament. Much to Charlie's delight, we continue to send her back for board and trains (i.e. "camp") whenever we go out of town for more than a couple of days. She's progressed so much in her off-leash training that she is able to stay off-leash while at the park, hiking, and on other outdoor adventures. We have complete and total trust that we're in control of her at all times, allowing us to enjoy these experiences with absolutely zero stress. We're not exaggerating when we say that on a daily basis, we receive compliments from complete strangers that we meet in parks, on trails, or in other public places who are blown away by how well behaved Charlie is. Aside from obedience training, Angelika and Tino have been instrumental in training Charlie to perform a number of medically-related service tasks, enabling me to have her registered as my service animal and join me wherever I go. She's also an appreciated visitor at Craig's mom's memory care home, where, thanks to our work with Quality K9, she is able to interact with all of the residents in a calm and gentle manner, bringing joy into their lives with her regular visits. In June of this year we took our 7 month sheepadoodle to Quality K-9 in Phoenix. Elsa (our dog) was out of control and we needed help to have her behave with proper behavior. Angelica was the trainer and kept her for 3 weeks to do daily behavior training. The results have been just amazing. Elsa knows her commands and is an absolute joy to have now. Knowing our Czech Shepherd puppy would before long weigh nearly as much as I do, we thought it vital he be well trained. After minutes with Tino and Angelika, we knew we were in the right hands. They worked diligently with us and our puppy, and have provided continuing support as he's grown...not just obedience and protection training, but everything from scent work to CGC certification.
