Hearing aid
Charlene W.

Folks...if you stay here...CHECK FOR BUGS before you bring your luggage in. Frankly, if you stay anywhere CHECK FOR BUGS before you bring your luggage in. It's a problem and you DEFINITELY don't want to bring those critters home. Alex and Juan were very accommodating and got us a new room in a different building. In our new room we found a hearing aid. If you have stayed there recently and lost your hearing aid, we turned it in to the front desk.

Look no further! This is the one. Affordable rate, clean room, pet friendly, they have a roll away bed if you need extra for sleeping. (Family of 5 here) Breakfast was hot and good. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee and juice etc. location was quiet except for the birds in the morning, no complaint there! Cats on premises, not a bad thing in my book. There's huge fields nearby so I'm assuming they're doing their job.

This looks like a neglected motel. Needs some serious money dumped into to turn it into a 2 star motel. Only stayed here because it is pet friendly. Stained curtains, roach, half dead lawn. The positive is staff are helpful and friendly.

This Quality Inn has a record of cars being broken into. Many after the staff has not only told patrons it was safe to park there but told them exactly where to park "out by the field". Suspicious to say the least. I would not recommend staying here. I have uploaded pics of reviews and reports from around the web.

The grounds are beautiful and provided an amazing backdrop for the wedding. The flowers, palm trees and bell tower made for stunning photos. The staff was fantastic. Lisa, the event coordinator was great to work with and always responsive. Matt the bartender was also super attentive. Every level of staff, from front desk, maintenance and security, were friendly and always helpful. The food was also next level. Our guests loved it. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

I've never booked a room here, but we would meet up with our friends from Madera at this hotel since their place is too far for me to drive. Yesterday, I discovered a really cool greenhouse and a charming wine museum I had never seen before. There's no charge to enter the wine room, but you need a key card from the lobby to access it. Additionally, there's a cute, small pet park for furry friends. The hotel also features a pond filled with colorful koi fish and another pond with waterfalls. We spotted an adorable turtle just hanging out with some fake ducks. There are a couple of areas with fire pits, and there's even a rose garden. I found a spot where you can play bocce and horseshoes. The courtyard is definitely fun to explore, and the restaurant's view is fantastic. I also learned about a bar called The Lounge. I tried the food at the Kitchen for breakfast and lunch yesterday. The service was slow on both occasions. We had to wait for ten minutes because the staff member at the desk said the server would return by then. I asked if they could seat us while we waited for her break to finish, but we decided to stay anyway. Regardless, the food was excellent both times, so the restaurant kicks ass even though the service doesn't. There are many places to visit outside the hotel. The Korean Memorial is nearby, but we skipped it yesterday. Instead, we discovered a few parks with trails that offer beautiful views of the hills and the San Luis Reservoir. We also visited the Romero Overlook Visitors Center, where you can learn about the water system and the area's history. I'm sure there are more things to do in the area, but that was all we had time for during our adventure yesterday.

This is noteworthy because I had driven from a bright blue atmosphere into the dark/dank inversion layer that was blanketing the entire lower altitudes, hemmed in by the surrounding mountains. I was approaching the final leg of my route--152 to (Gilroy) to 101 to (Silicone Valley)--when I decided to refuel at the closest station, just up the road in Santa Nella. While refueling, I thought about the route, specifically 152, which is winding through mountains and has some narrow 2-lane sections; then there is 101, which is a very fast and can be congested road. I looked at the bright lights around me, the welcoming motels/eateries/overnighteries (which must be expensive), and wondering if it was worth it to do the final two hours in the VISIBILITY limiting inversion layer. No, my wife, son/DIL/grandchildren would understand, so I sought out the least expensive option, overnighting where the light is always on for me, Motel 6. I entered the office to meet friendly Liz, who did have a room available for a single male/non-smoking/no pet traveller. Seeing my stick, she queried me about needing a ground floor room, but I, fearful of a huge price tag, declared upstairs was OK. It turns out it was NOT OK. It was bloody cold; there were NO in-room controls to adjust temperatures, though I could turn the fan on or off. It's a good thing I had ample cold-weather clothing! The room had the usual amenities of TV-remote/mini-fridge/microwave and was kind of large. But the bed was terrible; way too soft and saggy! I was sure my back was going to suffer. I wished I had spent the extra bucks for the ground floor room! Other than receptionist Liz, I did not enjoy this overnight. If you stay here, do not take any rooms on the second floor, and I'm uncertain about the Ground floor rooms. Unfortunately, the ice machine was not working.

Of all the motels I've stayed at over 2 decades, I've never had a motel window broken and repaired with packing tape. Apparently corporate Motel 6 thought the broken window was only worth $12.53 which is what was refunded after I contacted them about. Granted I don't fault the people who work there. Not many opportunities in Santa Nella. But I do fault the owner and corporate. Have this location 2 stars because the food options are walking distance, which after a long day of driving is welcomed relief.

I was traveling from San Diego to San Francisco and knew we would need a few hours of sleep, so I called ahead around midnight to confirm availability. I let them know we would arrive around 2:00 AM. The gentleman on the phone was polite and confirmed a rate of $122 plus tax, with payment upon arrival. When we arrived at 2:00 AM, the front desk experience was immediately uncomfortable. The woman working the desk seemed irritated that we were there at all. When I asked for a room, she quoted $156. I calmly explained that I had just spoken with their reservation line and was quoted $122. She responded bluntly, "We don't price match," and said she didn't care who I spoke with. She then told me that if she honored that rate, she would also charge a $50 early check-in fee. While standing in the lobby, I called the reservation number again and was once more quoted the $122 rate. While I was on the phone, the front desk attendant was frantically texting someone on her personal phone, which felt very odd. The reservation agent placed me on hold and called the front desk directly. I was standing right in front of her while this happened. She told them she could not honor the rate because she had already "done her checkout for the night." I genuinely felt like I was being taken advantage of and that the refusal was personal and spiteful rather than policy-based. To make matters worse, the front desk employee then walked into the back and took a call on her personal phone. As we were preparing to leave, I saw a large cockroach scurry across the lobby floor. That was the final confirmation that leaving was the right decision. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel or its customer service, and this experience was enough to ensure I will not stay at a La Quinta again. I will be reporting this experience to corporate, and I strongly suggest management re-evaluate overnight staffing and customer service standards at this location. Sometimes the universe steps in for a reason. This was one of those times.

It's not a super long drive from Fresno, and it was a quite enjoyable scenic drive. When you get there, you're greeted by a nice attendance at the front desk. They have two sets of soaking tubs one set is where you have to have clothing on and the other one is ware clothing is optional. The one with the clothing required was full, so I decided to track over to the clothing optional part. For those I'd like to go in the nude the area is fenced off, so nobody can see inside, but I decided to go in in my swimsuit. It was a great relaxing time where I took time to read a book that I haven't been able to enjoy for a while. Since I had packed a lunch, I went to over one of the picnic tables that they had and enjoy my lunch. After lunch, I headed over to the regular pool again. It was a great temperature and soaked for a little bit, took in the sun and then headed on back home. This is a fantastic place if somebody wants to do a day trip. However, there are areas where you can camp out with cabins and I believe in airstream you can rent out. Highly recommend.
