Okay, to be fair, I did not read all of the reviews I saw online about this place. Most of them were one stars. For things like cleanliness, and unsavory activities going on. To be fair, I did not experience any of the unsavory activities. In fact, it was a very quiet stay. When I first walked in, it was about 11:00 in the morning. No one was at the front desk. I rang the button which basically just had the phone go off at the front desk. So I was standing there for easily 20 minutes waiting for someone to get there. When he finally showed up, he said they didn't do early check-ins, and asked me to come back at 2:00. Guy working in the hallway since I had nothing else to do while I was waiting and saw that he had finished up a couple rooms. But the guy at the front desk insisted so I went and ran a couple errands beforehand When I did come back at 2:00 I was able to get into my room, and the room was made, and was pretty clean. Clean. The bathroom was pretty old and dated and looked like it needed a good refurbishing. And there was somebody else's used soap sitting on the ledge of the bathroom. I pulled down the covers on the bed and the bed was in fact clean and fresh. That was a bonus. Overall the room just looked very dated and well, just maintained. I was going to give this three stars as it was fairly perfunctory, and was a place to lay my head for the night. I heard my door open. No knock. No saying who it was just opening the door. I went to the door and it was the guy from the front counter talking to me and a broken Russian accent asking me if someone had cleaned my room. I said yes. You were just in here this afternoon. when I checked in. He mumbled something about being sorry and left. That really did not make me feel very safe, and the fact that I could not lock my front door, the only thing that worked was the door stop at the top, that kept him from coming all the way in the room. This alone took an average room down to substandard. There are a lot of things I can tolerate but an invasion of privacy is one thing I cannot live with. I would suggest only staying here if you were absolutely in desperate need, and to top it all off it's not cheap. I was able to find it online through a third party vendor for $145. Bottom line? I value safety and cleanliness. The room was indeed clean, with the exception of the other person's soap in the bathroom, but more importantly I expect to feel safe in a room that I am paying that much money for. For. Don't think I will ever stay at this quality inn ever again. I will gladly pay more money to feel safe. read more

Do not stay at the Quality Inn Post Falls. This property is a severe health and safety hazard, and management will steal your money. When I saw the state of the rooms, it was shocking: * Health Hazards: The ceiling had a bulging pocket of water and visible black mold. The smell in the room was entirely intolerable. * Safety Violations: The smoke detector was completely missing, leaving raw cables hanging down from the ceiling. * Filth: The beds were disgusting and covered in hair. The carpet trim was ripped up and laying loose in the middle of the hallway. Priceline, Choice Hotels corporate, and the local manager have all ignored the issue and refused to refund the money for an uninhabitable room. read more

One of the most disgusting hotels I've ever stayed at. Stuck here for a work trip and regret every moment of it. Room was dirty and I wiped it down with sanitizer wipes. No smoke/co2 detector in room. Shady guests- something odd going on with some living in rooms and young girls going in and out. Night 3(Tuesday) I was woken by a drunk guest screaming about "trafficking". Police came and removed him. Milk was spoiled at breakfast, limited choices- same horrible sausage or biscuits and gravy each day. This doesn't happen at Marriott or Hiltons. You get what you pay for and I will refuse to come back if my work books this hotel again. Not safe. The greatest surprise each morning of my prison stay was that my car was still intact and in the lot each morning. Very surprised but the sole positive of this nightmare. read more

They do not maintain their old property. While there are ample parking spaces, and sufficient rooms, the property is old. The paint scheme is dark, which is not helped by the cheap white fluorescent lights they use. Some of those light bulbs flicker and some don't work. The rooms are adequate, but little things like drains not working, trim not attached, and dirty handprints that I haven't been wiped off the wall detract from the experience. Their breakfast is minimal. They have no pool. They're exercise room has food on the rubber mat beneath the machines. The owners are Indian, and the housekeeping are Korean. This place is one ICE raid away from being closed. One couple that stayed there while I was there complained to the owners and asked for a discount. The owners called Post Falls police on them. All three cars showed up. I got to watch them right the report. I don't think they got their discount. No one should go here and this place should close. read more

I have a fairly reasonable standard that I expect from a Quality Inn. I am a Platinum Choice Privileges Hotels member and I've stayed in a dozen of different Quality Inn locations and there is a level of quality that I've come to expect from such. This particular location was unfortunately subpar on almost all of them. Let's start with the room itself. It seemed clean and was about the same level of modernization that I would have expected. It had a small, round toilet which makes the restroom a little difficult to navigate for a larger person such as myself. The TV was older than I would have expected but had good channels. The bed was the most uncomfortable hotel mattress that I have ever slept on. The breakfast was a huge letdown. The milk wasn't very cold, the juice seemed very watered down, the biscuits were hard and cold and the gravy had no flavor. The staff was very friendly which is why this hotel gets 3 stars. This is a decent place to stay with dogs. The night staff is great - the two women who checked me in. The maid staff does a good job cleaning. The bed spread is ugly. Looks like they are renovating the rooms. And painting the walls. One of the ladies who checked me and loved my dogs so much! She got each of them a bowl of water and give them a ton of lovings. The other lady checked me in. My sleep was fine! There were enough plugs in the room to charge my devices. The bedding was fine. The pillows were fine. The soap in the bathroom was nearly empty. The room smells like hand lotion. Not a bad smell maybe it is the carpet cleaner they use. In the morning I asked the man behind the desk. If I could please have a small plastic bag so that I could get some ice. He came back with an enormous brand new trash bag. OK I figured maybe this is all they have. He heard me at the icemaker and then asked me. Oh, did you want a small bag because you wanted to get ice? I laughed and said yes. He left and came back with a small used iceberg. It was not brand new. That was kind of weird. Everything in this hotel gets for used the keys, the sleeves, the keys get used in. Everything. It all gets reused. Even apparently the ice bags. The breakfast was good! The egg container was empty and there were still more than an hour left of breakfast service and nobody was attending to it. But I got sausage and waffles and hot tea. They had a good selection of tea bags too. I took a couple of different kinds of tea for later. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again. Last night I was too tired to make it to. Coeur D'Alene. I think it's only about 20 minutes later down the road. If I had asked to do over again, I would try to do that extra 20 minutes. The other town looks really nice. The bad reviews for this place are a laughable hoot! What do people expect when they book a super cheap budget place lol? But guess what? This place was just fine. It was clean, in a really convenient location, and our mattress and fluffy pillows were a great nights sleep. We used points and cash for a little mom and dad getaway for shopping, and we would come here again. The staff were nice, and the breakfast had hot items and was fresh. Booked a last minute trip to Silverwood and didn't have many hotel options. Since we would just be at the hotel at night, thought the Quality Inn would suffice. Although the front desk was friendly - the room was disgusting. Dirty sheets (hair / visible dirt or other questionable fresh stains). Obviously, they had not been changed. We called the front desk and he brought up a new set and left - we had had to change them. Carpet is stained and dirty. The entire place is run down and gross. Our room wasn't cleaned the entire three day stay- maybe attributable to COVID, but when we asked the housekeeper for towels, she slammed the door so we couldn't see her in the room across the hall abs didn't respond. Disappointed. The managers special offer of 94.99 was not accepted by staff. It says to show the coupon to the owner or an employee to redeem the offer. We were told by staff that we would have to reserve it through Yelp to get this offer (This is not what the coupon states). Also, you cannot reserve the room with this coupon online. We drove to this hotel because of this offer and we were too tired to find another one. We ended up paying $40 more then expected for the room. This hotel is not very well run. Several items that should have been done were not. For two days, the coffee machine was broken during breakfast and no alternatives were provided. The dog hair stuck to the desk in some sticky something, the not-so-glow stick bracelet on the floor probably wasn't from a child by the looks of the chair cushion and the lipstick smear on the back of the door. The one shining positive experience was the lovely woman at the front desk who was friendly, helpful and genuinely alarmed when I shared a couple of our room issues. Deplorable!! This place is what Hillary Clinton thinks half of the nation lives like! We've stayed at many 2 star hotels that serve the purpose. Not a luxury resort where you want to hang out but this place is really bad. Should have known when the front desk is not manned by someone. The grounds are not maintained and the carpeting in the lobby is filthy. Our room was on the second floor in the back towards the freeway with no elevator. (Let that sentence sink in!). We parked close the door, gathered our luggage, and discovered that the security card reader was disconnected. We knocked on the door and some random person opened the door for us. Up the stairwell that is also used as storage to the hallway and our room. We are greeted with "that smell". You know that smell of smoke and mold and disinfectant? We said, we can suck it up for a couple nights until I saw the bathroom. Dripping bathtub faucet was the last straw! We are outta here. Now the fun begins. I immediately head back to the front desk to speak with manager Justin. Manager Justin tells me that he will need to get approval from Owners before they refund my credit card for the two night stay but he assured me he would call me when that was complete. When I called back a couple days later Manager Justin said the Owners must have been out of town. I've left a couple more messages for Manager Justin and finally talked with him today, two weeks later, and he told me would call the bank to see why the credit hasn't gone through. We booked this rather last minute for a family trip to Silverwood. Mostly, we needed a place to sleep at night and wouldn't be spending much time on site. The only reason we made our reservation here is because all the other hotels were booked or over $400 a night. (All camp sites booked as well keep that in mind for this area.) When we arrived it looked a bit sketchy and we questioned whether it was a No Tell Motel with hourly rates or really a "Quality" Inn. The staff at the desk were attentive and helpful and I was checked in quickly. One of our key cards didn't work, but I didn't bother to have them fix it. No big deal to me. I checked for bedbugs because I always do and after giving the room a once over it appeared to be clean, just in need of a facelift. The beds were firm, but we prefer firm beds anyway. It was quiet, and served its purpose. I'm giving it a two and a half star rating (I hesitate to give it a 3, but solidly above a 2.) The reasons for my rating are as follows: I know it's been a long year with covid, but seriously, your "hot breakfast" sign and advertising would lead one to believe it was more than just a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich that each guest pulls from the refrigerator and warms in the microwave. A stack of blueberry muffins, a pile of apples, and breakfast sandwiches. That was about it. No bananas. No toast. Not even any cereal. No bagels and cream cheese or peanut butter/anything of that nature. You can do better. We've stayed at hotels through covid and this was by far the worst "complimentary breakfast" we've had. We ended up going to Wendy's instead. (Their maple bacon chicken sandwich was pretty darn tasty.) Little maintenance and housekeeping issues. Stains on the carpet don't look that great. It costs the same amount to replace a lightbulb with another lightbulb of the same color for consistency. Show you care about things. It goes a long ways. The door at the end of the hallway leading outside had a sign that said it wasn't working with the key card. I had my arms full and the card was already out so I tried it anyway. It worked just fine. So why the sign? Again, overall it wasn't great, but it served a purpose. Would I stay here again? If I have a reasonable alternative option, probably not. If it's the last place under $200/night and I'm passing through town? I might save the $200 and sleep in my car. read more

There were several large stains in the carpet, a large stain on the bed skirt. The electrical switches had not been cleaned. The window frame was very dirty. The toilet seat was loose and wobbly. We arrived around 8 pm on a Friday after about 6 hours on the road, he told us there was hot homemade chicken noodle soup and fresh peanut butter cookies in the breakfast area. It's right next to the freeway, but you most likely won't hear any traffic noise. the place is well insulated against noise (we were on the freeway end of the building). the place shows its age around the edges a bit (mirror trim problems, water pressure fell off HORRIBLY in the morning hours..) just little stuff. while the water pressure was very low the amount of hot water was not lacking. even though the place might show its age a bit it was spot on clean. the only other real issue is not enough power outlets (the ones in the lamps were mostly wore out). breakfast items were NOT gluten-free friendly but plentiful. coffee, tea, cocoa, OJ and apple juice all plentiful. when we first checked in at 3:00 on a Wednesday afternoon there was no one at the desk. once the attendant saw us we were taken care of promptly. other than that one "incident" there was always staff at the counter when we walked through. read more

I stayed here a month ago while on vacation to Silverwood. The maid service is horrible! Upon walking into the room the top cover on the bed was filthy with what appeared to be blood stains. Disgusted, I let the front desk know. They did not have any clean top covers available and there isn't maid service in the evening. I stripped the top cover off, only to find that the entire bedding had blood stains with hair on the sheets and pillow cases. I went to the front desk again. This time the front desk clerk came and changed my bedding for me. There wasn't much for breakfast in the mornings. They were out of most ingredients and items. We made reservations for one night during a recent trip to Silverwood. Check in time was not exactly convenient with 3 tired kids. After the 20 minute process we got to our room and the smell was off-putting to say the least. Even the two naturally smelly teenage boys were surprised with the odor of the room. Fast forward to morning, I went downstairs for the continental breakfast and had my choice of three sausage links and a cold pot of gravy to put on a biscuit. I settled on two links and a cup of yogurt, which I noticed had a partially opened tinfoil lid when I got back to the room. Long story short, we could not get out of there fast enough. Do not recommend even for a quick stay. We thought for the $205/night it would've been at least an acceptable experience. Only plus is that it's a 30 minute drive from Silverwood, but we will be traveling further next time and hopefully find a more suitable place to stay. read more

Seriously, spend more down the road if you're traveling to Silverwood or just passing through... here's why I think you should: Cons: Dirty - when walking down the hall and up the stairs there is visible dirt along the edges... not too bad right? But then in the room there is visible debris along the edges of the room and along the bed and beside the bed... even found a pair of sunglasses! The bathroom had hair in the tub and on the floor and the toilet seat was not attached... a surprise to my kids! Ours friends that were staying across the hall said their room was also dirty and they had an extra surprise... poop in the toilet! May explain the smell of urine in our room and theirs? Breakfast- limited food. Fruit option was blackened bananas. Out of oatmeal packets, clumps of food left on the tables, counters, floor until it was time to close up breakfast. Not a huge deal because guests should be cleaning up after themselves but I've stayed where they clean as they go so that people that come after them don't need to do it. Staff- they try.... sort of. They are just doing their job. But they have no interest in their job. It's a punch in, punch out kind of attitude. When we voiced our concerns the manager said she had fired the person who had cleaned our room... but what about the rest of the place? She did take 25$ off our bill. Cost- 2 nights for 375$ and some change. That's the worst part. I don't mind paying for what I get but at that price I do expect a clean place, staff that is friendly with at least an extra pillow when I ask for one... I did and they said they didn't have any. This was definitely a motel that was on the edge of divey. Especially for $125 per night. If this was 10 years ago, it would have been about a $35 per night place. The bedspread was stained, the fridge hadn't been cleaned in awhile and had old dripped food and spills in it. The bathroom was clean. Oh Comfort Inn- You upset me. We tried to use our Yelp check-in discount but you wouldn't giove it to us, saying that each Comfort Inn is individually owned and you knew nothing of Yelp...Sigh. We actually reserved a second room because of a snorer (she who's name shall not be spoken) and still nothing other than an explaination that this is your tourist season and you don't offer discounts during that time. Yes, we were there for the Ironman, isn't that enough torture?! Haha kidding. The rooms were great though- very clean and quiet which is what I really want in addition to price. There was a free breakfast daily which had the standard food but also some cool old waffle maker with cinnamon and another type of waffle batter. Score! We pulled into the parking lot to try to find a place to stay and it looks full and EVERY SINGLE hotel we had called on the way was totally booked. Someone comes out and asks if we are having problems and we say we are looking for a place to say and they say they have a room. So we park and go inside. When I ask how much the room is he says it is $249, and all the other hotels are booked because of an iron man race and a basketball tournament from Moses Lake to Kellogg at the very least. I say I can't afford that and he goes down to $180 and we walk outside to call around. As I am on the phone he interrupts us to say his manager said he could go down to $150 I tell him we will think about it and we decide to try our luck elsewhere. I understand supple and demand but this was a bit crazy and I felt that guy was a bit rude in his "I am your only hope" attitude. We ended up saving our money sleeping at a rest area (with a lot of other stranded travelers) and getting back home much earlier anyways which is fine by me. read more

Woke up to a continental bf - fresh waffles, biscuits and gravy, coffee, tea, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fruit... It was very nice. Check out was fast, easy. Very pleasant experience. I booked and paid for one room thinking this was the hotel my friends had booked. We went in and found out that there was another hotel with very similar name nearby, which my friends had booked their rooms. The front desk told me that she would cancel my reservation and refund my money and I could go ahead and get a room from that other hotel to be with my friends. I did that and guess what? They will not honor what they promised to do and I ended up paying twice for my stay. No negotiation with the person answered my call and the manager refused to talk. Don't book this hotel.
