This place was easy to find with quick access to the highway and at least there are a couple gas stations nearby with mini marts. My first impression of the common areas were that they were really nice. The staff were a little on the quiet side, but still friendly and helpful. The room itself was okay, not as clean as I'd like and the bedding was stained (permanent, not just dirty). The pillows were just the worst. They tried to shape them like squares and then fold in the pillowcases so they looked nice, but they were actually just really old, broken down standard pillows that were super uncomfortable. I've never seen anything like it. It was difficult to keep the temperature comfortable and there was a light switch right next to one of the beds that pretty much guaranteed you'd touch it multiple times during the night (which mostly just messed with people trying to charge their phones). I spent a few extra dollars to get the mini fridge in the room, but there also was a microwave, both of which were handy. The biggest issue we had was with kids running up and down the hall A LOT. I've never been anywhere that this was a big of a problem as here, not sure why that is. They do have an indoor pool and hottub. The pool is not heated, but wasn't freezing cold either. Their breakfast was one of the best I've seen, especially for grab and go style. They do have some seating and a nice coffee/tea station just outside the dining area. They had other beverages like milk, juice, and water as well. Food choices were similar but not exactly the same each day. They had bagels with tons of spread choices, cereals, multiple types of breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins, danish, breakfast bars, oatmeal, just a lot of options. That definitely made it a good deal when we could get food we actually really wanted. My only other issue was the lack of housekeeping. I understand not daily cleaning, but you really should at least make every other the standard. It's about a half hour to theme/water park and maybe 10 minutes to other businesses. It was a pretty good place to stay at a reasonable price.

My little family of four booked this hotel for two nights. We were given three different rooms before one was clean enough to comfortably sleep in and even then I cleaned spots in the room. The first room had a crusty substance on the bed skirt, nasty used q-tip stuck to the bedding, grease covered chair, and visibly soiled bedding. The second room had blood on the bedding as well as bloody boogers wiped on the wall. The third and final room, which we finally just had to accept due to not having the funds to go elsewhere, had soiled bedding and a brown substance all over the bathroom walls. The worker helping us was extremely nice and apologetic, also seemed embarrassed. However she did mention to us that she was asking her manager for a refund for us and we never did receive any contact after that. Do not stay here.

Need a wallet-friendly place to stay? You found it! Dog-friendly, check-in friendly, comfy beds: CHECK! And then we saw whatever that was on the wall. Semen? Lotion? Cake frosting? Regardless, it will be a pleasant stay as long as you don't lick the windows, or walls, and don't mind the occasional acoustic assault from what sounds like bombs going off in the parking lot. Still have yet to check out the hot tub, and I hear that a continental breakfast is a thing.

UPDATE: Stayed here again in January 2017. Met again with AMAZING customer service. The lady who checked me in (wish I had caught her name) greeted me within seconds of me walking in, had a huge smile, got everything done quickly, and even chatted with me and another guest. It actually felt like she enjoyed talking too--not that fake pleasantry thing. The customer service here trumps every other hotel I've stayed at--even expensive ones. Love this place more and more with every visit. Room was super clean as always! ~~~ This is my go-to hotel if I'm just looking for an inexpensive, no-frills stay. The price is possibly the lowest for a hotel you'll see that is this clean and has the perks of a more expensive hotel. Rooms are small but like I mentioned very clean. Our room only had a walk-in shower, no tub. Bathroom is also pretty small but I'm sure the accessible ones are much bigger. Instead of a closet there are wardrobes in the room. All the same amenities you find at other places...fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. Toiletries are your normal run-of-the-mill hotel ones. Not really scented and leave you feeling squeaky clean. Plaque on counter does say if you forgot a necessity they have complimentary ones. Towels aren't super fluffy but they are soft and dry well so I'm ok with that. Beds are on the firmer side so if you're a soft bed person this may not be the best for you. Coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7. Pool and hottub open 24 hours for adults 18+ and until 10pm for kids. Pool area is clean and nicer than most I've seen in hotels with this price range (I would compare it to a Hampton Inn) This stay we were checked in by Jillian, who was professional, really sweet, and made us feel welcomed. When I went down to breakfast I was also greeted, but I didn't catch the name of the girl who said "good morning". The employees are top-notch here. Cons: Rooms are smaller; walls are a little thin so if you're a light sleeper hearing people in the halls might drive you crazy; toiletries aren't the best. Pros: cleanliness, friendly staff, breakfast has a lot of hot and standard continental choices, price. If you're not from around here within minutes there's a Cabela's, Walmart, Zips, a struggling outlet mall that still has a few shops, fast food places, and a bit further down the freeway you have the perks of Coeur d'Alene and in the opposite direction Spokane. Prime location if you're here for whatever reason...shopping, outdoorsy stuff, about 30 min or so from Silverwood.

The hotel room was clean small bathroom w no tub and it had a sliding door not sure if all the rooms are like this . We would stay again the price is right the beds are double beds but comfortable and they have 4 pillows on each bed . Staff was friendly

View from front entryway. To the left is the vanity sink, and to the left of that is the toilet and shower.

2.5 stars. This Sleep Inn gets the job done for roadtripping. The staff were really nice but the rooms and pool area were lackluster.

Nice and cozy place. Rooms are nice and modern with flat screen tv's. Not much around to do. But I'd stay here again.

(all remote & one needs to register on line to check in). Currently, the place is torn up (that is unexpected but OK). The issues were 1) room is quite dirty, 2) very noisy as there were work with plumbing and there is a new condo building next door, 3) the breakfast does not start until 9:00 AM... and only was comprised scrambled eggs with some sort of cheese and sausage and soggy potatoes. The only saving grace is that the lady at the place was friendly and location is near walkable area to the business district. Be aware that there is no A/C here (as it is an older facility). They provide a couple of heaters - one in the main room and one in the bathroom... It does take time for the one in the main room to warm up... Super cold when it was about 40ish outside...

The view from the HUGE porch is lovely. There's tons of common "hang out" space both inside and out. I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom (shared with a couple in the next room) and there was never an issue. The bathroom had sinks with toilet and shower in a separate area with a door, so you could brush teeth while someone was showering with no issue. An extra half bath downstairs was helpful too. The decor was eclectic and fun and always something to look at. (One of the owners designed and created most of it himself.) There's wine out in the afternoon/evening and a lovely coffee and tea bar that's VERY well stocked. Breakfast had two time options and is served in individual servings and, in our case, a platter if fruit to pass. The breakfast was a cinnamon roll bread pudding and a veggie and potato frittata with sliced melon on the side. It was delicious and I enjoyed chatting with the other guests over the meal. Beds were comfy and wifi was solid. (I stayed in the three twins room - be aware that the third twin is lifted above the closet and entryway, so it may be cramped for a larger person.) I truly enjoyed my short stay here and will definitely visit again if I'm in the area!

Coeur d' Alene has been on my list as everyone says how great it is. So, a friend flew to visit over the summer and we spent 2 nights at the resort in their North Wing room. Then another friend came to visit this month, so we returned (with a much better experience). Arrival: Both visits were easy and we self parked. Be aware that there is an elevator from the parking garage to the resort and it is not the same one that will bring you to your room. Easy if you don't have a lot of stuff, but one visit I brought my dog and I could have used a luggage cart. So unload up front and then go park. Check in: Very quick. No wait. On the 2nd stay we were allowed to check in early which was nice. Rooms: North Wing- yikes. It does say on the site it is for the "value minded traveler." It shows. Summer is expensive there and since we were going to be outside the majority of the time it wasn't horrible. However, the room is much like a motel with the window facing a walkway. Ours was right next to the elevator. ugh. The inside was just okay. As others have mentioned, it could use updating. My second stay we stayed in the Lake Tower Room with double beds and fireplace and balcony. It was lovely. Nice room, beds comfortable, but the best was the view. Housekeeping: Unfortunately, both stays no one came to service the room. The Lake Tower even had a button to push when you want it serviced. We were out of the room by late morning and had the button turned on. Oh well. When I called, they did offer to service the room but we were tired and wanted to relax. One minor thing is that there is quite the push for tipping. I believe it came in an email and text. Just thought it was tacky. I've never seen that done before. Amenities: Visited the outdoor Blu pool during the summer. It was busy. My friend and I found an area that was "adults only" (not near the pool) and enjoyed the lake more than the kids in the pool crowd. Restaurants: Dined at Beverly's and Dockside. I will write separate reviews for them. All positive and will be back. The pre fixe dinner (early bird) was a great deal at Beverly's! ***Only policy I would suggest a change on is their charge for pet fee. It's one of the highest I've paid (and I've stayed at 5 star resorts) There is a DAILY $75 fee (someone said they cap at $150). I understand a fee is necessary, but I think that is a bit over the top. Our pup is crated (and prefers it) so does not require that deep level of clean other dogs might need. It might be better to have a standard reasonable fee and then charge the owner if the animal's stay requires additional cleaning.
