The front desk staff is always nice and helpful. The rooms are basic but nice and clean. The fitness center is fairly small but seems to always be empty so no issue using equipment. Like many hotels, they seems to have gotten rid of the hot tubs but the pool is heated and was definitely enjoyed but the kids. The breakfast option here sets it apart from other options with a spread of hot items as well as pastries and cereals. They also have both full size and mini waffle irons and a complete topping bar. Anytime we stay in Macomb, this is our preferred hotel location.

I think we would have been better off on the floor. I woke up stiff and sore and a little pissed. I mean, you stay at a hotel for a place to SLEEP...common sense would dictate providing a decently comfortable bed for your guests. Our beds were awful. Again, had we needed to stay longer we would have canceled. Last but not least, there were ants in the bathroom. I saw maybe 4 at any given time. They weren't after anything in particular, just wandering around. We did not alert the staff because it was late and we were leaving early. The breakfast was awesome, the price decent (as usual), but I'm sure we won't be back unless they put better beds in there. Trust me, I'm not exaggerating, they were bad. 4 stars so as not to diss Best Western in general. We still love y'all! Your Macomb location has terrible beds though.

Now it could be that I was the first to use the heat this year (I was there last weekend in September), but it was still very unpleasant. So while it was cheap and safe and comfortable for one night, I don't think I'll stay here again. I'm a slave to Amtrak when I visit my Leatherneck (which means I must arrive after 8:00 PM), and the after-hours check-in in is just too much of a drag to justify the savings.
