The best option of you find yourselves in Macomb. It is right near another chain but, based on my experience at both, it is definitely worth the few extra bucks to stay at Hampton Inn. The front desk staff is always nice and helpful. The rooms are basic but nice and clean. The fitness center is fairly small but seems to always be empty so no issue using equipment. Like many hotels, they seems to have gotten rid of the hot tubs but the pool is heated and was definitely enjoyed but the kids. The breakfast option here sets it apart from other options with a spread of hot items as well as pastries and cereals. They also have both full size and mini waffle irons and a complete topping bar. Anytime we stay in Macomb, this is our preferred hotel location. read more

Best hotel in Macomb. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool is large and great for children. Unfortunately the whirlpool has been removed. The workout area is sufficient with two treadmills (although one was broken), free weights, a Peloton bike, and a few other pieces of gym equipment. The highlight of this hotel is the breakfast. There are two waffle makers - one for full size waffles and one for four mini waffles - and two different waffle batters - plain and pumpkin. There are also a bunch of different toppings. I stayed with my family here during a special event. We stayed two different weekends and both were amazing. The staff is very accommodating and courteous. My son and husband does not eat pork products and they made it there priority to get them chicken sausage for breakfast!! I love the texting aspect of the service as well. Charles was amazing even in my rants of needing water asap lol!!! I appreciate my stay and will always book here when I am in Macomb! The rooms were clean, smelled nice and I had a great time! We actually ended up leaving our Roku in the room, and the honest cleaning staff put it up for us. I didn't go into to stay but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I am a local and wasn't getting a room so they didn't have to be so accommodating to me. It seemed like they had a large, welcoming, warm atmosphere and I believe as a local it would be one of the nicest places, if not the nicest place, to stay in town. Stayed here on business travel. Staff were very helpful, nice and attentive. Room was clean and a/c works great (93 degrees outside). When going up to my room housekeeping was cleaning another room by mine and I noticed he was cleaning the door and frame which shows they pay attention to detail. Nice workout and pool area although the spa was broken at the time of my stay . I got a text message shortly after check in to make sure everything with the room was good and that speaks very highly to the customer service they provide here. 5 stars read more

Best option if coming to Macomb. Was here for a work trip. Employees are all friendly, especially Bryan at the front desk. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Pool is really nice and breakfast was hot and delicious! I would have marked all 5 stars except the area by the microwave in the room needed to be sprayed with something because it smelled like someone had spilled some food or something. Overall this was an excellent hotel and the only option if you're in Macomb for any length of stay. read more

And the Hampton Inn in Macomb continues it's level of high service. This time when I checked in, front desk clerk, Robert, warmly greeted me and welcomed me to Macomb and to the Hampton Inn. Wow! i don't get a greeting like that unless I go home to my mother's house! The beds are still great- so comfortable and I love the array of pillows. And unlike some of the more expensive hotels, access to the Internet is FREE! And this morning since I was in a hurry and couldn't make the complimentary breakfast- the front desk had several "to go" bags already packed and ready to go with muffins and other breakfast items inside. Nice touch! I doubt I will ever fore go the "niceties" of those fancy hotels that I like to stay in. But when I travel to someplace where those hotels don't exist, a Hampton Inn will do just fine! read more

This might be the worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at! If you have to stay in Macomb they got ya because the other hotels are flat out motels! If you don't have to stay here move on! Beds are horrible chairs are like sitting on the floor even when I complained the best they could do was slight improvement! I can't believe Hilton allows their name on property like this! read more

Nice place to stay for a quick in and out stay. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. They are following covid precautions with signs posted, remote in plastic covering, and ppe available throughout the building. Continental breakfast is served in a cute little box with a nice portion of items. I even received a text from John shortly after check-in to see if we needed anything and if everything was up to standard in our room. I would stay here again. Only con is that you could here the room above us walking so hard and loud at times so the walls are thin. read more

We stay here often since our daughter lives in town. Almost every stay has been phenomenal. The negative stays were based on loud college/high school kids staying here (this should be monitored more carefully during recruiting events) or a kid's birthday party in the room next door (needs to be a distance between those rooms and other guests). I also don't appreciate that they escalate the rates whenever there is a big event at WIU. When I came for my daughter's graduation for her Master's Degree we had to pay 50% more for the same room. Not a big fan of price gouging. read more

I left items in the room upon check out and these items were stolen from housekeeping. I called multiple times requesting that they look in the exact place they were and they said they checked and never found anything. Make sure and hide/lock up valuables if you decide to stay here. read more

By far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at in a long time. For Macomb, this is high end. The rooms are very nice, large, clean, very well appointed. I was really surprised. The pool/hot tub area was clean and very nice. Breakfast had a variety of items that were perfect. I even forgot my toothbrush and they had one at the front desk. The only reason I am not giving this hotel 5 stars is it is very noisy. I was on the 4th floor but I could hear my own footsteps so I would make sure you ask for the 4th floor. Plus the doors are so heavy they slam and I could hear my neighbor going in and out of his room Kind of thin walls. Great price too. A perfect place to stay. read more

Nice hotel, the poorest service in history of an Hilton Group. No internet, "Its down, he he" I was told, Well as a paying customer I don't find that funny. Breakfast was very poor, soggy cereals, black bananas and soft over ripe apples. Unless you wanted biscuts and gravey, "No thanks" Yogurt had passed its sell by date. I've got to say... I'm somewhat surprised to find such a nice, professional hotel in a small town but I have! I've been to Macomb before and stayed at various other hotels and by far the Hampton Inn was the best. The rooms where very clean and well decorated. The hotel had an indoor pool and a workout center (albeit a little small). And in the morning there was a complimentary breakfast in the lobby. The breakfast wasn't five star, but for free... it was good. The customer service was also great. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only reason why I did not give five starts is because of the noise you can hear through the wall or coming from the hallway. It wasn't really a big deal and is very common with most hotels. I would highly recommend that you request to stay on the 4th floor (top floor) so you don't hear footsteps above you. read more

Hotel room was very clean, staff exceptionally friendly. Cheerfully accommodated an early check in during a break between meetings which was very helpful for me, and promptly brought additional shampoo and towels when we requested them. Pool and hottub area very nice but both are filled with saltwater. It was the highest priced hotel in the area, but I did not feel that it was overpriced at all. My one concern is that checkout is listed as noon however our keys were deactivated first thing in the morning, well before noon. If we had not left someone in the room we would have had to have them unlock the door for us to retrieve our belongings. read more

My stay there started on 9/14/15. When I woke up the next day to get ready for my day, I took a shower and found that the shower had MOLD on the corner crevices. That was totally gross! I reported it to the front desk and didn't get back to my hotel until late at night from work. The following day, I found that the shower remained MOLDY and was not attended to at all! I reported it again to the front desk and they were finally able to correct the issue by replacing grouts. When I checked out on 9/17/15, I found that they removed the charges for 1 day of my stay. I was very disappointed that I had to report it twice before they took care of the issue! I figured that they deserve another chance and went back on 9/23/15 and was given a different room. SHOCKING!! The shower crevices including the shower head was MOLDY!! I don't understand how a fairly new facility can have this issue!! When I reported this to the "Assistant General Manager" present upon check out, all she said was..."I'll make sure to address this with my housekeeping department!" NO APOLOGIES!!! And by the way, I was not refunded for this stay! I will never stay at Hampton Inn in Macomb again! It's really a shame that they consider themselves part of the Hilton group! read more
