Beautiful park with plenty of scenic picnic areas, a campground, boating access, and hiking…read moretrails...we went on the shorter, woodsy Honeybee Hollow and Loop Trails--about one and a half miles total. The trailhead is located across from the park office. The Honeybee Trails aren't too strenuous or hilly, but you won't see the lake (there is a longer trail around its perimeter, about seven and a half miles). The main park road was a little difficult for us to find (GPS took us to a back entrance which was closed) so if you end up on Agency just make sure to take the right turn if you want to find the beach and park office (which is off of Racine). There also wasn't any signage for the park until we were right at the Agency Road entrance. The drive was well worth the visit, though.

I was especially impressed with their mens room bath and shower! My wife and I were on the road for 28 days and THIS was the cleanest and largest shower I had seen after traveling 6600 miles. We discovered that KOA's have three levels: Journey, Holiday, & Resort. My wife and I enjoyed this Journey as it is the closest to "real camping" with just enough to relax without feeling like you're in some sort of "Disney Resort". I would highly recommend this campground and will stay here again if I ever get the chance!!

This is close to one of the darkest skies in Illinois. There are other options with darker skies (e.g. Weinberg-King) but the facilities here with plumbing and showers make this the best choice. The office is unmanned, so no one there if you have any questions or issues. You simply drive to the spot you reserved and hook up. I guess I could've driven in and hooked up without paying. ? Our site (#25) was gravel but fairly level and shaded. There was a strong manure smell outside, not sure if it was from a nearby farm or if they were having issues with their sewer system.

We love staying here…read more We stay here each year when in the area visiting family. We love the peacefulness of the valley down by the river. We prefer to stay in the back-in concrete pad sites that back up to the main road. The slight amount of road noise is worth it for the large, long concrete pad. Denise, the owner/manager has always been very pleasant and accommodating. We look forward to staying here each year.

With a variety of campsites, improving amenities and activities, it's a great place to camp for a summer or for a weekend! We met many long-term campers there, and that speaks a lot to how so many can feel like Condit's is another little home away from home. Highly recommend hooking up here for a weekend or a season! Also... don't forget the bug spray. It's camping, after all. I would love to come back in autumn after talking with other campers. It sounds like it's beautiful and you can see more of the landscape and ravines around the property.

They had Karaoke on Friday night and a band on Saturday in a barn on the property. We didn't go to either but since the barn is fairly enclosed it didn't bother us. This place is pretty quiet durning the day, like I said it's a super relaxed vibe, maybe because when we were there lots of spots were open. Management is great, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There are lots of seasonal's and plenty of nightly camping spots too. The RV spots are basically in a grassy field with some gravel, not perfectly level but not so bad that we had to pull out leveling blocks. Big nice trees everywhere. They have a nice playground and a great pond! It seems that they go to the effort to dump fresh sand on one side of the pond so that it's kind of like a beach and it makes to bottom of the pond sandy instead of muddy. There is also a big fountain in the pond that helps circulate the water and I suspect filter some of it. They don't have wifi but we didn't mind. We have been to so many RV parks that "offer" wifi but then you get there and it's so crapy that you feel a little cheated. I'd much rather know what I'm in for up front. AND we had great cell service (att) so we could do anything we wanted to. Happy camping!!

The A campground has a shower house and B does not and is further within the park. There is also tent camping further inside B. It's quiet. It's serene. The color changes were beautiful everywhere. We came late and the campground host came around the next morning and wanted to check us in of course. We obliged and were left to it. There are trails. There is massive fishing. If you want quiet camping. This is it.
