First, the decor beautiful and everything is up to date and well-maintained. The big beds are really comfortable, the showers are clean and spacious and have good hot water and water pressure, the tub drains well, and the whole premises is safe and well-lit. The whole hotel is non-smoking. It's a very clean, very well kept up, and well-run hotel. The free Wi-Fi always worked. The locks could be connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth so I only had to press a button on an app on my phone to get into the building and unlock the door to my room. We had two big flat screen TVs with all the channels. There was a nice welcome message stating my Hilton membership status on the TV every time I checked in. A Target is across the parking lot and I loved that. It was so convenient. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. Derrick and his team did an amazing job, providing a delicious variety of fresh hot and cold food every day. The breakfast room has lots of plants and a high ceiling and enormous windows, and it just felt refreshing and invigorating to step in there every day. It had a good vibe. Due to my home being destroyed by water damage, my husband and were guests here for a full four months. I'm so grateful to everyone here for making this our home away from home during an extremely turbulent and stressful time. Many of the employees here were a blessing. These individuals went out of their way to help me: Javier, Camille, Ana, Arthur, Karnell, Derrick, Mervin, and Lupe. I'm grateful to you all!

Lobby was clean and spacious. Checked in and it only took 2 minutes. Went up to our room on 5 and entered our room. Bright and sunny with a a large bed and tv. Kruig coffee and microwave and frig. Room was very clean, and so was the large bathroom. Played down for an hour nap and went to party. After party. Back to hotel and fell asleep right away. Bed was so comfortable. Unfortunately, during our stay we discovered an active bedbug infestation in one of the rooms on the day of checkout. This was extremely distressing, and we immediately notified hotel staff. My niece, who stayed in the affected room, also reported multiple bites. While staff did address the issue, the overall handling and resolution were disappointing. We were only offered partial compensation for the stay, despite the seriousness of the situation and the disruption it caused--especially as this trip was during a competitive event, which made the experience even more difficult and stressful. As a Hilton Honors member, I expected a higher standard of care and resolution in a situation involving health and safety concerns. I hope management takes this seriously and improves how such incidents are handled in the future.

I simply contacted them to inquire if I could book with them directly rather than a third party at a lower rate of course. I do have to say Destiny Church was a pleasure speaking with and I believe did not have a part in the actual negotiations. After days of emails/calls back and forth, and specifically asking if I should just book through booking.com. They finally offer me a competitive rate that I am in agreement with and I respond back within hours to reserve with them. "True transparency " they respond back reneging on the offer stating they could not match booking.com pricing because of availability and recent price increases! This is after they offered me the lower rate! Oh and best of all the rates on booking.com conveniently increased the day there offer was emailed to me. They purposely dragged me along all week just to increase the rates on booking.com. So unprofessional and I am reporting them to the BBB!

My partner and I have been looking for a new apartment and AVE Union popped into my mind. I believe they have selections for fully furnished or apartments to furnish your own. I remember how attentive the staff was at AVE Union. They used to throw these themed activities and would greet us every time we came back to the apartment. Additionally, the surrounding area is quite convenient, right next to public transportation. I used to run in the area after work and I enjoyed the neighborhood. The amenities are very nice, the pool using neon lights at night to create a cool vibe. And to make sure people don't trip, lol. I also liked the gym! It was pretty cool, split into two rooms. All glass on each side. I had a great experience at AVE Union in New Jersey and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for housing in the area!

This was the third Hilton property we stayed at in different locations on our brief trip, but by far the best service. Sure, the room could use a facelift (I can relate!) but it had everything I needed and more, everything was comfortable, and everything in the room worked. Most of all though I want to give kudos to Malik, who was the gentleman who checked us in. It must've been obvious how exhausted we were and when I saw the sign behind the desk that said "checkout time 11:00" I said to my father, "check out time is 11 o'clock. Should we meet down here tomorrow morning at 10:55?" And Malik, bless his heart and soul, said "would you like me to put you down for noon check out?" if I wasn't already married, I would have fallen in love with him on the spot! It's amazing what an extra hour of sleep can do at the end of a long, draining trip. And as if Malik hadn't gonna above and beyond enough, he gave us each free water. Dad and I take a similar trip every year, and we used to get two bottles or free water each at every Hilton we checked into, but this year Malik was the only one who gave it to us. I guess we're not preferred Hilton members or whatever anymore but still, the night before in Philadelphia I saw what must've been 100 of those little paper bags with two bottles of water in them behind the counter.... yet no one could spare a bottle for the cost of a Hilton room in Philly which is absolutely obscene So seriously. The checkin experience can make or break a hotel stay. Thanks to Malik, I would definitely stay here again.

I found the hotel to be clean and up to date with typical Home 2 Suites. The furniture wasn't worn down in the lobby or the room. I'm a stickler for only staying at newer hotels. I found that this location was built in 2022. There were very few towels in the room as if they didn't replenish unless asked. This was fine, as we traveled with a personal set of towels. The stay was up to standards for my family and me. Up to three adults can sleep comfortably in the rooms. There were two double beds and a pull-out couch. There is also a curtain divider between the bedroom area and the sitting space. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the area and is seeking something less expensive. Don't second-guess booking. This is not luxury or the coolest hotel. This is a decent value and the location was perfect.

Staff was friendly. 1 star off: Even though the hotel is located in a residential area, there was still quite a bit of street noise. The walls were thin and either construction noise or a neighbor's alarm woke me up every morning. Breakfast was included. There was a Starbucks conveniently located right in the lobby, i.e. you can roll out of bed and get a coffee without putting on the whole gear to go outside in the cold. Happy hour occurs every afternoon, and upon check-in, I was given a few drink tickets. I didn't end up using them, but it was a nice add-on.

Complimentary hospitality hour with adult beverages and snacks (be sure get a ticket at the desk if you check-in on the app), large spacious rooms and bathrooms with modern updates! I love the proximity of this hotel to the Newark airport (around 25 minutes away). I also love that there is a Starbucks and restaurant (grain and cane) downstairs for convenience. I took advantage of both for an evening beverage (they Starbucks closes at 6pm) and dinner. This hotel is located in a quiet business area and I love that there is ample free lot parking which I've found to be quite rare with Jersey hotels! The front desk staff are very nice and even took the time to ask how my dinner was! This also seemed to be a very popular wedding guest hotel based on large groups I saw checking in and wedding guest gifts behind the desk. I'll be sure to consider this hotel as an option next time I'm in the area, especially before a flight out of EWR.
