The dudes at the desk are super helpful, and honestly I went to every single hotel in like 20 miles looking at all of them since I'm going to be in town for months and I want the best value. The grounds were in bad shape, debris everywhere, one of the palm trees leaves was broken off and was just left there in the front entry way. The front desk was empty, I waited 5 minutes, and a lady finally came out. I was told that I could not check in because I was not the person who reserved the room and they had to be there. I was not given another option or guidance. At 4:30 pm, an hour and a half later I was finally able to check in, without the person there, after he called corporate, and had to sign and email a simple form. Do the couple who run the place live there? The man was cooking in the pool area on a bar b q pit every day. The elevator wallpaper was torn up. My room was filthy, stains in multiple places, the bathroom, the ceiling, the bedding. The carpet was filthy. The "blanket" was very thin. The bathroom had no shower curtain, the bathtub was chipped in multiple places. There was hair in the tub, the bathroom floor, the vanity area. A stain running down the wall in the bathroom. The towels were stained. The bathroom door was damaged on both sides. The mirror in the hall area had some kind of gunk on it. After my room was "cleaned" I was left with no towels. I ran out of toilet paper. I called the front desk and asked for towels and toilet paper and was told to come to the front desk to get them. The cleaning lady told me there were no towels available, they were being washed. The food options were poor. Cereal, waffles, bananas, and bread, 2% milk, and filtered water in a pitcher. The orange juice machine and the coffee machines were broken. I did not feel safe at this place. I hope that my friend will receive a refund for this awful purchase. I reached out 3 times to customer service, was given the wrong email address to corporate twice, and the 3rd time was finally given the correct email. Customer care did nothing to resolve or make the many issues right but offer me points. Quality inn And suites When we checked in the staff was not as welcoming. I felt like I was inconveniencing them. My credit card declined due to a fraud alert and I explained to her I used my American Express for the booking but didn't carry it with me. She made a comment about why it declined due to me not having available funds in there. When we got our keys and went up to our room we passed it because the door was open and there was a gentleman sitting inside the room at the table and when I asked are you the cleaning staff and he said no it was open so i was just chilling here. We had no blanket or comforters in the room. I went downstairs to grab one since no one would answer the phone. Then the 2nd day the curtain fell while I was trying to close it. We reported it and instead of fixing it they just removed it and we had no curtains to block out light and our room was pretty light al night and hard to get a shut eye. Our last day we were looking in our bed to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and as we pulled the sheets out we uncovered stained and ripped mattress pad and fitted sheet. The wall behind the bathroom door is falling apart and you can see the dry wall exposed. It almost looks rotten. The towel rack was also broken. I have pictures to prove it. I told the manager that I have not posted a review on yelp but want to give you a chance to make it right by giving me a refund at least. Never heard back from them. Indian management that doesn't realize they are in the US and that there are some standards needed in a hotel. Basically, the hotel should be burned to the ground. Terrible experience. Completely horrified after being given a key to a room , then the key wouldn't work. Got another room key from front desk which worked but we walked in on other people in the room already. Then went down to the front desk and told given upgrade for a different room for free.. This time we were given an upgrade, but the room had no working toilet. The receptionist said you can flush the toilet by sticking your hand in the tank to the toilet & pushing a button even though the handle didn't work. Also, the air conditioner didn't work on the first floor and the receptionist did not speak English. Never ever go there. There were not enough utensils. The side doors were not secure. The carpets were not clean or vacuumed. The room was dirty and the walls had streaks of something. We spotted little bugs crawling in the pull out couch and lady at the front-desk didn't apologize nor showed any concern! She only said they were scheduled to have the couches cleaned. I told her NOT to be renting out that room with bug and is was disgusting! This is the nastiest hotel around the area avoid it at all cost all the room stink like cigarettes, everything is nasty, dirty the people there are super super weird sleep in your car. I have been attempting to contact the manager, "Robbie" for almost 24 hours now. I called at 11AM, was told he would be in at 2, called at 2 was told he would be in at 4, called at 4 and was told he would be in at 6. I have been affected by the flooding in Houston, and am unable to make my trip. I was trying to reach him to see if I can get an exception for the 72 cancellation window (what hotel requires 72 hours anyway!?). Admittedly, I've never stayed here, but based on my experience over the phone, I definitely would not consider staying in the future. UPDATE: After calling the "main" customer service line, and being on hold for 20 minutes, they magically were able to connect with the elusive "Robbie." He did not care that flooding was an issue, and that the cancellation of plans was beyond my control. He offered me half price for NOTHING. He said he had lots of business, and my cancellation was losing him money. I told him that if he would have cancelled it when I called for the first time, 24 hours ago, he could have easily rebooked the same room. I will be disputing the charges. This is a horrible franchise, and I'm not thinking much more of the corporation as a whole. NEVER will this chain get my business. read more

We stayed here this past weekend and our experience was interesting. We tried to check in early (around noon) but the owner/front desk guy said we couldn't do that. However, if we paid an additional $25, he could have a maid clean a room for us and we could check in around 2pm. I told him no thanks, we will be back later. The guy was totally trying to hustle us. So then, I ask the guy if I can use the restroom and he tells me to use the Ladies room as the Mens does not have water. Really? OK...So I go to use this restroom hesitantly as I am a guy and don't want to intrude and am thankful to knock and open the door and it's a single person restroom. When I turn on the lights, I see that the bathroom is absolutely disgusting. I mean there was paper everywhere, the toilet was covered in feces, it stunk. You'd think that like most hotels, they'd keep those lobby restrooms pretty clean? Guess not here. It was nasty. So we return that night to check in and thank goodness there was a different person on duty at the desk. That guy was friendly. The parking is not plentiful so good luck finding a spot later in the evening. I was worried about the room but it ended up being a nice room that was clean. We had no problems with the room. The elevator did go out the following morning so it was a pain to get everything down 3 flights of stairs but we managed. Also, someone took a dump in the stairwell. It was pretty gross. Do not make a reservation for this hotel. They require 72 hour cancelation. 72 hours???!!!!??? Are you kidding me? I was booked there to work an outdoor event. Event was cancelled early due to the weather forecast. My reservation was for Friday night; I called Thursday morning to cancel and they are charging me one nights stay. I called another Quality Inn in Texas where I have a reservation 2 weeks from now because I'll be damped if I stay at a chain with that policy. The other quality inn has a 24 hour cancellation policy. They had never heard of a hotel requiring 72 hours. Even other hotels in the same chain think it's absurd. Stay at the La Quinta across the street. I'll be staying there next time. read more

The most disgusting place we have every stayed at. Do not stay here!!!! Disgusting on sooo many levels. We walked in and found feces on our toilet, black hair all on our shower walls, food stuck on walls, dead roaches and bugs everywhere and soooo much more!!! We could barely see this though because literally all of the light bulbs were burnt out in our room except for 2. The front desk was rude and unprofessional and said they did not have anyone who could replace our light bulbs or clean our room and we were told to do it ourselves! I Also beware of the flooring! The tiles are cracked and popping up which causes uneven and unsteady walking in the restrooms! Fall hazard!!! Let me just say this was the absolute worse hotel experience ever! I feel bad because my daughter booked this room for me but it was last minute so she did her best to accommodate me and my granddaughters! The hotel stinks! The room was absolutely horrible! The ceiling in the bathroom looked like it was about to fall in and the wall was coming apart in the bathroom! We brought drinks so we were going to put them in the small refrigerator but when we opened it there were dead roaches! I was running late for a wedding, checked in and left when I got back I asked the two men at the front desk where the pull out was they told me that my reservation did not include a pull out. The younger man whom I assumed is named Robbie, was VERY demeaning he threw the corporate number at me when I asked to speak to someone else. He kept saying that this was not his problem since we booked through a third party and was not polite! He was loosing patience with us and kept asking how many times he had to reiterate himself regarding the discrepancy and patronizing us. Clearly customer service is NOT his forte. Second: this place definitely doesn't deserve the name "quality" inn. The room smells musty like there is obvious water damage. The shower is clogged so anyone that takes a shower must do so with standing water. Probably the ONLY redeeming quality about this place was the texas shaped waffles. I will NEVER stay here again and will make sure to let everyone know that this place is awful and the customer service is horrendous. read more

We were in town for a wedding and decided to give this Quality Inn a try. The room quality was terrible. We came across a couple bugs crawling on the ground. I killed them and flushed them down the toilet thinking it was no big deal. But pretty soon we kept seeing more and more bugs crawling out of the corners of the wall. We woke up to see several more in the bathroom. I saved a few of the bugs and showed them to the front desk worker. He said he couldn't do anything and said I could call the manager. I called the manager, Bobby Patel, and told him about our experience. He asked if we had bed bugs to which I said "I hope not" but there were bugs crawling all over the floor. He went on to tell me there are bugs everywhere in Texas and that my stay met the standards of Quality Inn and any other hotel in Texas. He did not apologize or offer a remedy. Instead, he told me he was busy watching Sunday football and following his fantasy football team. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

We booked a room for two nights online using points. When we arrived, the front desk person tried to charge us first: $40/night because we had more than two people in the room (2Queens and a pullout room) and, second: contradicted himself and tried to charge us $56 and told us we were lucky, as he could charge us $80!! My husband told him we were using points to no avail (nowhere in the booking confirmation did it say we would be charged if we had more than two people). Since we booked same-day, it was too late to cancel and if we had walked, we would've lost 32,000 points. When we asked for the number for Choice to complain, he told us "Choice doesn't own me" and there was no number and "Choice are pimps anyway". We are forced to stay here to avoid losing points. When we complained they had us, the guests go to the linen room and look for clean sheets and towels. We never found clean, just less dirty. Met the owner at check in, nice enough guy and he said they were remodeling from top down but it will take more than new carpet and furniture. Wifi is slow and TV isn't digital. What's the use of having hi-def if the picture isn't. Mike, the owner, he went on about breakfast. Sausage patties, boiled eggs, brown gravy for the biscuits, give me a break. Did I mention overpriced? Room was clean enough but property is tired and the area is too. One Burger King and c-store at the exit. I could go on but the wifi is so slow, did I mention that? We traveled this last weekend with a 23 month old baby girl. From the moment we got there, we got calls from the front desk that our daughter was causing "too much noise" and that other guests were complaining. One day after shopping, we walked into the hotel with our daughter asleep in her stroller. We went up the elavator, with her still sleeping in her stroller, and when we were unlocking the door, we could hear our phone ringing in our room. We walked in and answered the phone and it was the front desk complaining that our daughter was being too loud for the other guests. We tried to explain that 1) we hadn't been there all afternooon and 2) she was still asleep in her stroller at that exact moment. It was all very maddening to be accused of being too loud when we weren't even there. The air conditioner in our room wasn't working at all. We spent the first day and night sweating profusely. We called the front desk, but no one ever came and helped us out. The next morning (after sweating through the night), I went down to the front desk and reminded them that our air conditioning wasn't working. The lady at the front desk pointed to a list of room numbers (there were about 8-10 room numbers on this list) and said that there were several other rooms ahead of us on the list to have our air conditioners worked on. Needless to say we spent the rest of the day in a sweltering room. When asked for a discount on our room, we were told they couldn't do that. I will never stay here again and this was a horrible experience. read more
