I decided to take the gamble since there was not many reviews about their work online but were spoken very highly of and I am so glad that I did take that risk. From the inquiry on the phone with Hani (The son) to the in person consultation for a quote with Hani as well as his father Ammar it was a breeze. I provided what was happening and they found the problem within an hour. I have had this problem before with my unit before and paid an arm and leg to get it fixed but when I got this quote I was in shock to realize I had been ripped off In the past... I immediately agreed to hire them for the job and was in Awe with the results. Hani also recommended I had my ducts cleaned and showed me the mess that was my ducts which insured me he wasn't trying to rip me off or anything like that which gave me a huge sigh of relief. He also gave me a discount with the duct services since I was a first time customer which felt great btw. These are individuals who do some pretty great work and now have a life long client. Arturo took our call early morning and said he could be there the same day between 3-4p and ended up showing at 2p!!! Talk about amazing! He came and took his time notating all the issues and promised 2 quotes to our Home Warranty, one to repair and one to replace. They approved the repair and he ordered parts (which was difficult due to the older system) and came today to fix it. We finally have a/c again and we will only trust Arturo from here on out!!

We called Royale Air to give us a plan to install 2-zone system, replace our old thermostat and potentially some ducts, install 2 Nest thermostats and 3 Temperature sensors across the house, and clean the ducts. Abdu gave us an estimate that was reasonable but most importantly tailored to solving our problem as opposed to adding more services. We agreed to his estimate on the spot. We were aware of how much our neighbors spent on similar services. We were put on schedule for the work to be completed which took a bulk of a day. Crew came in on time, respectful of our house (shoe covers, floor covered, clean ladders, etc). Abdu continuously consulted with us when things weren't as straightforward (like possibility of running wires from attic to main floor). Work completed on time. Crew cleaned up the place as if no one was there. Abdu called us few days after to check if we had any questions. Family owned small business. Honest and personable. You can't beat that.

Slate Mechanical is run by an excellent heat/cooling technician named Nick Daniels. He and his office staff, headed by Amy Benham, provide a superior service to their customers. After making a thorough inspection of our home's heating/cooling system, Mr. Daniels submitted a bid on the work at our house. Everything would be 'high end' from furnace and a/c units to new duct work and removal of outdated equipment. We couldn't believe that the install would be as inexpensive as it turned out to be !! The installers always wore masks as a safety precaution. We were kept in constant contact as the work proceeded through the final install. Efficient changes were made, as necessary, along the way (at no additional cost to us). The final product was well beyond are greatest expectations. Our 3500 sq.ft. house (built in1925) has so much more efficient heat than our previous system provided and all at a lower gas/electric cost. My wife and I whole heartedly recommend Slate Mechanical Corp for your heat and cooling needs.

The contractors knew you were getting a rebate so they bid High. Francisco's bid was very reasonable. The right price and his work was exceptional. He installed a Bosch heat pump to replace my gas heater saving me thousands per Vs. my gas furnace and was competitive with a standard gas furnace replacement. Since it was warm AC was all we really needed until the winter was in full swing. The office was uncomfortably cold. We contacted the property manager and she indicated that Vaz Air was the company used by some of the tenants. I called and reached the owner Steve. I told him of my situation and asked if he could come out and check out our heating system. Steve suggested that before he comes out, that we check if the gas for the unit had been turned on. I checked and sure enough my company had not thought of turning on the gas. I contacted PG&E and they came out...but even after the gas was on the building was still cold. I called Steve again. He told me that he had been on the roof of our building and surmised that the meter with our address on it was most likely not our meter. I called PG&E and they came over and confirmed that our meter was not working. Steve suggested that he turn the three meters on and see which one begins to move. The PG&E guy did it and sure enough the meters were marked wrong. The heat was now working. Steve did not charge me a penny for his advice. He said that he wouldn't feel right coming out knowing that it could have been as simple as turning on the gas. That's a class act!! He's earned our business for any future HVAC maintenance!! If you're looking for a reputable and honest HVAC repair company, I couldn't make any stronger recommendation than for Vaz Air.

Come to find out, outside of our house there are 2 vents. One way up near the roof which is for auxiliary which should never have water dripping, mind you it did. That's a NO NO! Only the one on the bottom should be dripping water. All this man did was take his temp gun and shoot it into the vent and tell us it's fine. It's not. We bought our house brand new from ground up back when. I think we know it very well. This man claims to be a specialist? Think not. To take our money and diagnose, he doesn't know WHY? And didn't even bother to look elsewhere? Wow. I hope he can live with himself. Taking peoples' money and claims he doesn't know. If I could be a specialist and do that? CHEAT PEOPLE? I'd be rich. Omg! We had someone else come out today, (everything happened today) and told us what was wrong and didn't even charge us. He temporarily unclogged the drainage and scheduled another visit to clean our AC system. Now that's an honest person. Yelpers, dm me if you need a great AC man. I'm here to help. When I called the person on the phone was helpful and immediately scheduled a plumber to come out. The plumber, Shawn comes and was very respectful to have on a mask and keep his distance because of COVID. He got everything up and running in no time and the cost was reasonable. I would definitely use them again if i have another problem with my water heater.
