Top tier amenities! The free breakfast buffet is out of this world. There was a hot buffet with sausage, vegetarian baked beans, potatoes, and eggs cooked 3 different ways. Then a different section for fruit, yogurt, breads, and cold cuts with all the toppings you can imagine. My favorite were the crepes, which I topped with nutella and sprinkles. For breakfast there is a special coffee machine that makes lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate and more.
Then there is coffee and tea available in the lobby 24/7. All of the sitting areas inside and outside were comfortable and had plenty of space. There is a game room, where my dad and I picked up a chess board so we could play.
The highlight of our stay was that the hotel is situated on the fjord, providing a beautiful view and serne setting in nature. The trail from the hotel goes all through the trees and along the water. I really enjoyed taking walks around the area.
Even though the location is not in the city center, its very easy to get around by bus, having the Fornabuparken stop for bus #31 right infront of the hotel. The bus ran frequently into town and runs 24 hours a day. I would choose this location again in a heartbeat.
The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, we stayed in a twin room, and it had space to move around and place our luggage.
The gym is above what I would expect in a hotel, full weight room with a few machines and treadmills. There was enough space and a mat for me to do a little yoga.
The staff really goes above and beyond, we unexpectedly extended our stay into my birthday, and they gave me a few treats and were so kind.
They host special events and have been playing the world cup games on a theatre sized screen in their viewing room. They even played the Norway-England match, which was madness in the lobby, though they contained it well. That event was ticketed even though it was free, my only complaint was they let people who weren't in line get tickets, so not everyone who was actually in line got to go in. read more
