Travelling can be a chore. You arrive in s new city and the learning curve is steep.
"What is taxi in Norway" It does not matter, expensive is the same in every language.
That is why I love this hotel. It is central, convenient to everything and situated in a beautiful area of Trondheim. The bus stop to Vaernes is a short walk away (I wish I had known that before I had used that cab to get to town).
The rooms are basic but have everything I need. The shower and bed are great and I stayed in one of the cheaper rooms they have in the hotel. I hate it when they cut costs by putting in a crap shower or bed. Not here.
Breakfast is part of the deal and it is very good. You can really expand your knowledge of Scandinavian dishes like pickled fish - if you care to do so. They also have the Norwegian version of a cooked breakfast - if you care for that.
The staff are great - I needed to lengthen my stay by a few more nights - sorted out easily.
The speed of the internet is excellent and I did some additional updates on some kit while I stayed here. I was also able to connect up all of my devices - no restrictions on this as well.
There are definitely more expensive places to stay in Trondheim but I would say that this place met my needs really well.
The other hotels would have put me farther away than where I wanted to be. Everytime I chucked a restaurant or tourist attraction I wanted to visit into Google maps - the destination was less than 5 minutes away. That is pretty impressive.
The spire at Kongens Gate is also easy to spot - so if your phone battery dies as you are using Google Maps walking back from the restaurant. No Worries - aim for the big spikey thing in the middle of the roundabout and you are a block away from this place. read more
