This is casual and the menu is not very big (and changes neither very often nor by very much), but they found something they're extremely good at and perfected to an incredible extent. I can't think of a single thing I'd change here. Most of the food they serve has traces of traditional Scandinavian cuisine, some Mediterranean and Arab influences, and a good dose of east Asian flavors. That might sound messy, but it's not -- the flavors are really well balanced. As much as I eat here, they still manage to surprise me with their creativity while still maintaining a sufficient sense of familiar flavors. The food is also really healthy and they use a lot of local organic ingredients. I tend to prefer the dinner over the lunch (get the dinner of the day), but the lunch is also very good. It's also very cheap, and they offer takeout. This is probably not the best vegetarian restaurant in the world, but that's easy to forget when you're here and feeling blissful, and I'd say Persilleriet easily holds its own against more famous vegetarian restaurants like Leaf (Boulder, CO) or Candle 79 (NYC). (The main difference being the level of formality and style of cooking.) If you have any interest in food you need to try this place.

Some of the wines went really well with the dished, but a few of them I think they really should consider to change as they did lift the food to another level at all. But in general the food was great, especially the pasta with king crab was outstanding. Also the last dish with deer was perfectly cooked and so tender. One thing I really liked is that this restaurant is not all about sharing dished , which to many restaurant innmy opinion is doing these days. Just nice to have your own plate one in a while:) The service was pretty ok, I did not get the impression they had any sommelier in the restaurant that night, but they knew where the wines came from and which grape they were made from so that is sufficient for me.
