Dealing with her team was a true pleasure. Communications, interactions and observation of care was an illuminating experience with the hand selected team lead by CEO Deanna. Anna Marie was kind and came initially for the appt. we also met LVN Lita (who observed periorbital edema).Tech is alive here as MSHCS was in contact via phone, text and email. Multi-skilled questioned inaccuracies (argued by Pt.) and quickly assessed health. Wrote email too appear as if I was "out of it" to CEO Deanna---she caught it and called immediately. Deanna personally called out pt. blood sugar test mechanism he "had a old dinosaur" device. she helped us to establish a system of device acquisition and maintenance. Palliative Care and Diabetic care is top-notch. Thanks to Anna, Lita, Armi and the dedicated staff at MSHS, and Pt. blood pressure returned to normal---no ER visit needed.

Being in her 80s, she did not enjoy being "poked and prodded" as she called it. Once we got the diagnosis of advanced lung cancer, it was difficult for me to accept it when she decided that she had had enough of doctors and appointments. Still, I had to respect her wishes and respect her decision to live out what was left of her life in a much comfort as possible. Her doctor recommended Los Feliz Hospice Healthcare, and I could not have been more pleased with the care she received from them. They respected her wishes throughout the end of her life, and allowed her to pass with dignity, on her own terms. Sophia was an excellent caregiver; my mom and grandma raved about her. Aurora was an excellent communicator who always let us know what medications they were trying to manage her pain and other symptoms. She explained everything and made sure we were comfortable with all of it. My mother told me that another employee she dealt with via phone, Royale (not sure about spelling), was also extremely helpful and sympathic. My mother was extremely pleased and thankful for the help with my grandmother. She says she would refer them to anyone who asked. She also says that they went "above and beyond" the call of duty to help my grandmother pass with her grace and dignity intact. In a difficult time, they were there for my family, and we will be forever grateful. Recently had a family member placed under hospice care with this company. It was a new experience,…read moreso didn't really know what to expect. For the most part things went well, when we needed items to be replenished they did so with a bit of pushback at times but we received them promptly nonetheless. The care from the home health aide and LVN were for the most part great, no complaints there! Thorough and helpful by nature. One concern was the RN that made it a habit on more then one occasion to have my family member clean out their own ostomy bag even though my family member was bed bound and would not be able to properly clean their hands afterwards. I will be reporting said nurse to the appropriate agency. Only other disappointment was after my family members passing, no real attempt was made by their counselor or staff to help with the grieving process which seemed like such a harsh disconnection.

He was also very kind and added an entirely new layer of options after explaining to him about the recent status of my Dads health. Visiting Angels is not an option for our family at this moment, but I would not hesitate to call on them if the situation changes.

My mother in law (god love her) is very high maintenance but the staff, amenities, other residents and even the food made her stay enjoyable considering the unfortunate circumstances. I would highly recommend giving this place a look if you find yourself in such a situation.
