Throughout what we thought was a massively long journey and battle with the complications of Dementia, the degradation of the body when the mind stops sending instructions, alongside following God's care for this evil disease was Crown Hospice. In the "big picture" this illness was just a brief speed bump to eternity, however, the VERY special souls at Crown Hospice were SO instrumental in education, spiritual support, physical and mental care, listening to the patient, the family and the care facility, orchestrating nothing but the BEST for Mom. Mom wasn't a "case" as Mom was a soul, somewhat immobile as time passed, required unique care as she was 99 years old, a polio survivor, and these additional conditions required even extra care and expertise and patience.
Although composed of an entire team, to navigate through EOL and the business side of EOL, standing out are Rosie and Antonette. My family and I are NOT discounting anyone on the team, we were working very closely with these 2 "Angels". To make things even easier, the extended care home our mother was at also had an excellent relationship with Rosie and Antonette. There was NEVER a rush to "move on to the next patient" and we actually felt as if Mom was the ONLY patient these folks had. Immediate responses 24\7 to our numerous questions and in-home visits were timely, compassionate and extended into grief care for the survivors. Although God was in charge, we are VERY grateful, eternally, to Crown Hospice\Antonette\Rosie for what we know is an incredibly difficult calling. These folks have carved out a VERY special place in Heaven and have built countless treasures there, too.
After Mom's passing, the aftercare continued for the survivors, which provided even further comfort. Although we do not understand the journey on "this side" we do know it was made FAR easier by God, and Crown Hospice as the quarterbacks, Mom's journey, and our journey as her survivors and loved ones, Mom was alleviated of so much more pain grief, discouragement.
To the PEOPLE at Crown Hospice, we are eternally grateful. read more
