It was so frustrating to call so many businesses only to run into dead ends because my order was too small. Then, on a whim I called Dave's Glass. The woman who answered the phone was so kind. She said she could help. And she did. She took my order. She made suggestions. The glass edges would be polished. No sharp edges. I was so relieved that I honestly started to tear up. When I picked up the order a few days later, the total for 6 custom cut glass shelves came to just under $100. The store is a friendly place with a large yellow lab serving as official greeter. They did a great job. The cabinet shelves look wonderful. I wish I'd called Dave's first. I'll make sure to reach out again. The cabinet will be needing mirrored doors.

They were incredibly accommodating throughout the process. However, a major point of caution: the measurements were grossly inaccurate. The company insists that customers provide their own measurements, likely to shift liability. He helped us glaze our home's custom-designed steel windows and they look amazing! Eric is prompt and accommodating with his scheduling, knowledgeable about all kinds of glass installation and his rates are reasonable. Most important of all, he is friendly, easy to work with and has a positive attitude on the job. Other glaziers we spoke to when getting estimates either refused to touch our specialty custom windows, or acted very put-upon to take a job that was outside of their normal scope of work. Eric, however, responded with enthusiasm to the challenge and treated our project with interest, like it was his own. We would highly recommend his services and definitely plan on passing his name on to our clients and friends!

Then said I had to come to their showroom first (about 20 miles), they could get someone out to measure in about a week for a cost of $150, and it would take at least 3 weeks before they could install the new door. The business model is problematic (3 weeks and I have to go to them first!), but the rudeness of his tone was overwhelming. Clearly "customer service" is not a priority.l

As part of the rehabilitation of the case I purchased new glass shelves from this company. They were very friendly to work with over the phone, and when I arrived in person they were even more helpful. The purpose of my display case is to store model trains, and they had a staff member who was familiar with this hobby so we chatted about that for a while. The two glass shelves were quoted a reasonable price, and they were ready to pick up within a day or two. When I got them home, however, the didn't fit. I had ordered them based on the dimensions of the warped plywood, and they were about 1/16" too long. After talking with them on the phone about it, they offered to cut them shorter (and didn't even charge me despite me offering to pay them for this additional work). Again, they were done within a day or two. The only downside that I can think of is their hours: M-F from 8-4:30. That is fine if you work or live near there, but I had to go on my lunch breaks and that was a bit of a hassle. They are surrounded by chain link fences and gates so easy after-hours drop offs or pick-ups aren't an option.
