From the initial meetings, Bar made a really great impression by being attentive, responsive, honest, down to earth and thoughtful in his communication style. Working with a builder who I can communicate well with was a non-negotiable, and Bar and his team excel at it! Barcci is a very well-run construction company, they are well organized and have systems in place so if you need to stay within budget and timeframe, they are your team. Transparent numbers, and I also liked that I was able to source the finish materials myself to fit my budget and style. The construction crew was super hard working, kind, and made the process very manageable for me, even as I lived in the house 3 of the 4 months that the project lasted. They truly gave their 150% and went the extra mile to please. We did a full kitchen, bathroom, new hardwood flooring and smooth walls everywhere renovation, and I LOVE the results!

Ben and Victoria came to our home multiple times, patiently answered our many questions, and showed us both current and past projects. Their transparency and willingness to explain things in detail gave us confidence to choose them as our contractor. One of the biggest differentiators was Ben's promise to move the city approval process along quickly. While other contractors estimated 3-5 months, Ben assured us it could be done in about a month and a half. True to his word, he brought along his architect, who carefully listened to our needs and drafted a thoughtful plan. With only minor revisions, the plans were passed to the engineer and then submitted to the city--and we had approval within just a week of submission. All the estimates for the scope of work were also super competitive. As we were about to begin, my husband and I made the decision to cut the project in half for long-term planning reasons. Ben was incredibly accommodating. He came to our home to fully understand our concerns, then immediately worked with his architect to revise the plans and coordinated with the city to get them restamped. All in all, we're extremely happy with the planning experience so far. Ben and Victoria have been professional, flexible, and proactive every step of the way. I'll update this review once construction is complete to share insights from that phase, but at this stage we couldn't be more satisfied.

From the start of the design project, they used high quality sub contractors for design, engineering, and all the trades in the house. Fernando, our project manager was incredible. He approached the project with a keen eye for details and took total ownership over the sub contractors. He would stop by almost every night to ensure that the subs were performing their work and not leaving or damaging any other contractors' work. Sarmad is a problem solver. He sees an issue and thinks through how to solve it, then presents clear options to choose from. Throughout the process, we were not surprised by unanticipated expenses - all changes were clearly explained and we had the option to make changes via clear change orders. EDR uses Buildertrend for all program management and billing, which made payments, change approvals, and scheduling tracking seamless. While this sounds like a basic requirement in 2026, not all contractors use these services which just adds friction to the process. We couldn't recommend EDR more for the quality of work on our house, the schedule execution, care for detail, and just taking care of our project. Along the way, we never felt nickel & dimed, and the value of their services definitely exceeded our expectations.

We recently completed a full master bathroom renovation along with a whole-house repipe (galvanized to copper), and from start to finish, Gabriel and his team were professional, transparent, and detail-oriented. Project Pitch Phase: Gabriel came out at least twice to carefully assess the scope of work. He was thoughtful in his recommendations - for example, suggesting we update the bay window to ensure the entire bathroom felt cohesive and aesthetically aligned. While it added to the cost, he explained the reasoning clearly and never felt pushy. He was upfront about pricing and the overall plan. He even invited us to visit another active job site so we could see the quality of work firsthand, beyond just online photos. Additionally, he had his plumber come out to provide a free quote for the copper repiping, which we appreciated. Work in Progress: Gabriel has built an incredible team. His project manager, Israel, was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful - especially when it came to selecting tiles, vanities, and fixtures. He helped obtain contractor discounts from vendors and was on-site almost daily (even if just for 10-15 minutes) to check in and address questions. After each visit, he followed up with videos and written notes summarizing discussions, which we found extremely professional and reassuring. The crew was punctual (arriving between 8-9am daily), respectful, and highly skilled - special shoutout to Asa for his craftsmanship. There were typically 1-2 workers on-site each day, and the entire project was completed in about 6 weeks. Wrap Up: The team cleaned up daily, which made living through construction much easier. At project completion, Gabriel even brought in professional cleaners to clean the entire house and driveway - a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, he was responsive and quick to address any small issues we noticed once we began using the new bathroom. Overall, we're very happy with the results and would confidently recommend Step Up Construction for renovation projects. Gabriel and his team deliver quality work with professionalism and care.
