5 Stars for Tyler, Benaiah, and the whole Oahu Garage Door team!…read more I don't write reviews very often--only when the service and product are truly exceptional--and Oahu Garage Doors (OGD) definitely earns it. OGD installed my gorgeous garage door ~4 years ago (which I still absolutely love), and their service is just as stellar today. When I called them today, they initially offered me an appointment for tomorrow. While that was totally reasonable, I had a scheduling conflict, and they were awesome enough to shuffle things around and squeeze me in the very same day! wowwie! They sent Tyler and Benaiah, who are absolute gems and such great assets to the company. They were thorough, professional, and so sweet and patient with this kupuna, taking the time to explain everything they did clearly. From the initial phone call to the final service, the entire OGD team is top-notch. When I asked AI for the best garage door company around, even the computer knew to recommend them! When I called the big-name company who helped me out the first time I had trouble with my door when I first moved in, they came within hours to help, so I tried them first. They couldn't get to me for 2 weeks, so I turned to Yelp and found Don & Denise at Central Garage Service had great ratings, including a rave review from someone I actually know, so I gave them a call. I'm so glad I did because Denise said that Don could be here the same day! I really appreciated that since I already had the day off, I wouldn't have to take leave another day. I get that service times need to be flexible based on the needs of each customer, andDenise was super responsive and kept me posted on Don's arrival time. He showed up, quickly assessed the problem (it was what we expected), had everything he needed to do the job, and took care of business. He was very honest and informative about the condition of my garage door motor, springs, cable, remote, etc. and didn't pressure us or try to upsell. He did however, confirm that our decision to replace the springs was smart by showing us when he removed them that they were very ready to break. Whew, glad we dodged that bullet. Something very important that we learned from Don is that garage doors need regular servicing (I lived in a house with a carport for all of my adult life, how would I have known that?!). It's nice to know that I can schedule Central Garage Door Service to come check out my new, super quiet and very fancy garage door on a regular basis so we can keep it in great shape. I was so pleased with Don's work that I introduced him to a neighbor who was walking by & he took down the contact info for when he needs service. The great service from Don & Denise makes me happy that I used Yelp to find them, and thrilled to support a local small business. Thanks to you both!

So, it's a huge hassle for us to not have it working. I reached out to Valerie and we were able to get a tech to come out to work on our garage door the very next day. Joe is a really great tech. Very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and efficient. He was able to diagnose the issue with our garage and tell us why it was stuck, give me a quote to fix it today, and in no time at all we had our garage door working again. I joked with my wife that he did such a great job it's whisper quiet as it opens and closes now. I forgot that garage doors aren't supposed to be loud as they open and close lol. It's been on our wish list to have a garage door that is connected to WiFi and have an app that we can track if we closed the garage. It'll save that trip back to double check that we closed the garage. And he let us know some options for how we could get it done. We'll definitely be using H&H to make that upgrade.
