BEWARE: Charged 365.82 to replace a dishwasher drain hose, told me I was under charged, and did not send the promised itemization.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with Mr. Rogers Appliance service & was referred to Quality Appliance Service. The issue was the washing machine made a HORRID squeaking sound and seemed to make way too much noise while agitating. And the dryer was extremely loud no matter what I did. The staff was accommodating and polite when I called to make the appointment. When Dan arrived, I asked him to put on booties, which he didn't have, as we don't walk with 'outdoor shoes' inside (I have a baby who walks and crawls and puts everything in her mouth lol.) He suggested if I had any plastic bags (like old Publix bags) he could tie those over his shoes. Which worked PERFECTLY! And I truly appreciated his suggestion and flexibility with that. I explained the problems to him and showed him the videos I took to document it for the rental company (it isn't our home or appliances.) Dan almost immediately said that he bet the issue with the washer was a "known" issue with this particular make and model and when he input the information into his tablet and looked it up he was right on the money. The other company had "no idea" what could possibly be wrong but was going to order parts anyway. Dan knew the issue, said he had the parts with him and could fix it right away. He also checked the dryer and he said unfortunately due to the make/model and it being a front loader there wasn't really anything we could do about the noise except to put a mat or rug under the dryer to help buffer the sound. But he did try to do several things to adjust the dryer and see if he could help with the noise. I see that others had HORRIBLE experiences with Quality Appliance, and I can't speak for them but Dan solved my issues on ONE trip, was professional, courteous and didn't leave a mess like the morons at Mr. Rogers did. I highly recommend him, as again I can't speak for the other repair folks, but I felt he was honest and knew his stuff. And he fixed it in one visit. That made all the difference to me! read more

A technician came out for $110 and diagnosed the problem, stated the seal system was leaking and the parts would be covered under warranty but the labor is $1400, I questioned that amount and he replied two technicians and several hours to replace the seal system. They ordered the parts from Thermador and we scheduled the repair. 5 days later 2 technicians arrived and got to work, within a few minutes one of the technicians said to the other technician there is no leak in the seal system the refrigerant levels are ok. But the sensors could be bad. They explained they would have to order the sensor and charged me an additional $99, they left after 1.5 hours. I called Tammy at the office and asked why I was charged $1400 if the seal system was not repaired or replaced (The seal system parts from Thermador were not even taken out of the box) Tammy explained they had 2 men on site and made a repair to the fridge and that's what it cost regardless. 6 days later one technician returned with the sensors, they found the sensors were working properly and the fan motor could be faulty. The fan motor was replaced and the fridge was operating as it should! I asked if I would be refunded for the sensors and the technician said No.. Turns out they diagnosed the problem wrong and over charged me... I paid $1600 for a faulty fan motor.. I have NEVER had such a shady experience with a company in my life. Quality Appliance did a service call regarding a Samsung dryer that was not functioning. Initially the service rep came out and stated it was not a problem with the appliance itself, but an electrical issue. We had an electrician check the connection and he could not find a problem. We contacted Quality to come back out, with the understanding that the tech would work with the electrician to resolve the problem. Upon arrival the tech Erwin was belligerent and rude to my wife. When the electrician arrived Erwin became argumentative and combative instead of working with the electrician to resolve the problem. Erwin was correct, it was an electrical issue, but he did not need to have belligerent attitude with my wife or the electrician. I must say the Quality Team, specifically Tammy, other than Erwin were helpful, cordial, and interested in solving this problem. If they choose to send you Erwin, I would suggest you ask for someone else! read more

Well, it turns out I need not have since Mike arrived from Quality Appliance Service. We had the Samsung Refrigerator repair from hell, until I called Quality Appliance. Our 4 year old refrigerator was not cooling intermittently. I called a local repair man, who was a nice man, but did not know how to fix it. So I called Samsung who sent their first contracted repair service in Brandon which was a disaster. The tech brought the same wrong part twice, said he was ordering the correct part overnight, and when I didn't hear from them for a couple of days, I called him and he said, we couldn't get the part, "the office was supposed to call you." I called Samsung again insisting on another repair service, and appealing to them to cover the repair based on the snafu of their first repair service referral. Samsung set me up with Quality, and I connected with Tammy T. in the office, and she was GREAT! She worked with me on diagnosing and ordering parts, and scheduled the tech Dave M. to come out ASAP. Tammy called me immediately when she received notice Samsung had agreed to cover the repair. Dave came out and diagnosed the main power control board was defective. He ordered a new one from Samsung, which unfortunately sent a new board that was defective. He immediately reordered this part, as well as another one suspected defective, and called me first thing in the morning after receiving the parts, to make us his first call. It's been 5 days now and the refrigerator is cooling perfectly. Problem solved! read more

Please don't use this company. I was directed here by Frigidaire, and wished I had done my homework first. I have been without my brand new stovetop for over a month, having had 3 mainboards shipped and each one broken. No communication from the company despite repeated promises that they would get back to me. They won't set a time to show up even if you request it, which is not a way to run a business. People work, and asking for an appointment after 3pm is not an unreasonable request. After over a month without a stove, one would think they could at least be somewhat accommodating...nope. read more

Bosch microwave/convection oven stopped working. James came out and easily diagnosed the problem. Needed a new magnetron and circuit board. Decided to repair instead of getting a new one. Called to place the repair order and expected to wait days to a week. But within one day James was back and the oven is working just fine. Highly recommend Quality Appliance Service and you'd be lucky to get James. He's personable, knowledgeable and efficient. read more

WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. Called Quality Appliance because my dryer stopped spinning and Samsung customer service referred me to this company. They charged us $115 just to come out and look at the dryer (which we were told would go towards the repair if we decided to fix it), then tell us they will have to order a part and will be back in a week. So it was a $36 part and we were charged $215 for labor. 1 week later, the tech replaced the part and never plugged it in to test it. Got home, plugged in the dryer to find it now spins, but smells like its burning and shuts off after 5 seconds. When the tech comes out for the 3rd time (another week later) he says it needs a motor, which would now be an additional $215. I said no, we will just buy a new dryer for that amount of $$$$. If we knew the dryer was going to cost $450 to fix we would have just paid the $115 and bought a new dryer. When we called the office, we were told they couldn't do anything about the original $268 charge. So we spent $268 to still have a broken dryer. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING THIS COMPANY. I am thoroughly disappointed in Quality Appliance. They installed a new gasket for the seal on my Electrolux refrigerator. The seal was a little droopy but thought that was to be expected. The seal has now come completely out and it is evident that they never bothered to clean the manufacturers plastic away from the groove. Leaving it all bunched up and stuck in the spot where the gasket should have been fully installed. You can clearly see that it was not properly installed in the first place. A few years have passed and I called to arrange repair. After sending them photos of this to show the lumped plastic that was never removed to properly install the gasket they replied with the place doesn't matter. Of course it matters. There is only enough room for the gasket to fit. That is the nature of a gasket. It needs to be tight to form a seal. When the gasket can't be fully inserted into the place it is meant to this is what will happen and it did. To say the extra plastic packaging that wasn't properly removed has no bearing is ridiculous. After many years I didn't expect it to be totally free but a good business would have seen the photos and seen their error and wanted to make it right. Not to respond with some bogus cop out. I would have been happy If they said they would replace it at no labor to me and 1/2 the cost of the gasket. I didn't need it to be free. Even though it should be. I'll be using a competitor from now on and being in the service industry myself with hundreds of past clients I will recommend to all my clients they do the same. I have been giving out this companies name referring them for years. That will cease from this day forward should they not make this right. read more

This company was assigned to us as the warranty repair for our range hood. Ronnie, the serviceman came to replace the module. The first time he came, he said the module was not needed because the outside vent was missing the damper. So we have the dapper added. 2nd time he came, he cannot do it because the cover is attached to the wall too tight. So we have the dry wall/tiles re-done and whole range hood re-installed by the builder. The third time, he came and finally to replace the module. During the process removing the hood cover, Ronnie broke the tiles behind to cover; and he failed to place the cover back to where it is supposed. the cover is supposed attached to the wall all the way to the ceiling. Yet, Ronnie left the cover hanging in the middle of the wall where there is a huge gap between the cover to the ceiling. very unprofessional! We turned on the range hood that evening and the hood died after 15-45 minutes. Then the range hood died. We called the next day and talked to Jim, the supervisor. I sent the photos and asked why it was done incorrectly. Never received a response. Ronnie returned a day later to inspect the hood. He showed up 15 minutes ahead of appointment time when I was at the pool with my kids 5 minutes always. Family member called right away as Ronnie arrived and I hurry to get kids out of the pool. As we were walking home, family member called again and said Ronnie was ready to leave. I asked family member to get him to stay so I could talk to him in person. As we were running home, I also called the main office and asked the lady to inform Ronnie to wait for me, the lady agreed. This is really five minutes between my house and the pool. As we were getting close to my house, I saw Ronnie's van was pulling out from the driveway. I yelled and waived, the van did not stop. I could see Ronnie was on the phone as he was going to drive away. I sprinted to the side of Ronnie's van and knock on the driver window. Ronnie lower his window and the first thing he said was, don't you bang on my window! Well, if you have not been trying to drive away while you are on the phone, I won't have to run and knock on your window to get your attention. The guy is total confrontational and basically insulted me verbally in front of my house. I maintained my composure and asked what happened, Ronnie said he have completed his diagnose and need to order another the module. I went inside the house and check with my family member and reviewed the video in my house. Ronnie came in at 10:44 a.m., clicked on two buttons on the range hood; the he walked into the garage to check on the electric panel; came back inside the house and ready to leave. Total 5 minutes of diagnose and never a attempt to test module or do anything else. Right away, I called the office and explained the situation to Jim at 11:30 a.m. He said to look into it and went to lunch. I called again and tried to talk to Jim and Shelly, the warranty manager. However, the front office lady said that both individuals have left for the day. And that was at 2:30 p.m. I asked if they did not want to speak to me and the front lady said that "this is not what I said" Go figured! I left voicemails and emails to both of them and detailed out every step and the problem we have had. Of course, there was never a response. Ronnie, the serviceman was totally unprofessional in the technical and basic manner, and were unwilling to help or repair the range. Neither Jim or Shelly cares to take responsibilities for the Poor Quality of Appliance Services I have received. I have the broken tiles and the range hood cover hanging incorrectly. Shame! Shame! AWFUL! These people are awful! Paid $90 for a service call. Then they Installed a part ($300) which they claimed fixed my frig but didn't. Then wanted additional $500 for another part which they said would fix it! I guess they just keeping putting in parts until they finally get it repaired and as long as I kept paying! What a scam! Please be cautious when given a diagnosis of repairs and costs. Telephone manufacturer before agreeing to any repairs or get a second opinion. It saved me a lot of money and potentially buying a new machine unnecessarily. Quality Appliance is the authorized repair company for Speed Queen service and warranty work in Pinellas County. My Speed Queen washer stopped working after I thought I had overloaded it. I called for service. I spoke with the technician, described what had happened. He thought it was most likely a broken belt. He arrived on time and replaced the belt which was nearly split apart. The washer tub would still not begin the spin cycle. He then informs me the transmission had seized up. He calls the office and they give an estimate of approximately $800 for parts and labor. This would exceed the value of the machine. I declined the repair and he left. I telephoned Speed Queen customer service and was informed the transmission was under warranty, but labor would not be covered. I contacted Quality Appliance and they confirmed the warranty information and then sent a proposal of $523 for the install. This still exceeds the value of the machine. I contacted Speed Queen once more to see if they could help with my dilemma. I spoke with someone in technical and parts support. He was able to talk me through some simple trouble shooting steps ( I am in no way a mechanical person) and I found a napkin had become lodged between the inner and the outer tub. Removed it and the machine is working perfectly once again. According to the support person this is not an uncommon occurrence and is often the reason the belt would continue turning and eventually break. So now I am left to believe either that the technician was not qualified to diagnose the issue or I was being intentionally misled. read more

Phone call gave me the wrong time, the service man REQUIRED that I call him to confirm time HE WANTED. Then he called last minute to cancel the appointed time altogether. I agree with Brent H. If I could, I would give no stars. It took them over a week to get a part for my newer Samsung washer. Then when the installer came, it was the wrong part. Now because of the holiday, they can't get the right part here until Tuesday. When I told the manager that the USPS could deliver the part overnight from Orlando I was told that they only had FedEx and UPS accounts and even if the correct part did come in on Saturday they couldn't install it since they don't work weekends or holidays. Well, my clothes don't take weekends and holidays off. I purchased a warranty through Famous Tate and this is the company they use for their local warranty work. DO NOT GET A WARRANTY FROM FAMOUS TATE for any appliance you purchase there, ever. read more

This is one top notch company! I was at my wits end when Dave came to our house to fix our washer. Two days before, another company had come out to service our washer and they were very unprofessional. Dave and the nice woman who set up our appointment were so nice and pleasant and very professional. I had been told my washer needed a temperature sensor. I was planning to be out another week without it and was not looking forward to going to the laundromat again. Dave showed up bright and early and gave us the best news ever! They messed up a customer request to call ahead and had the nerve to blame the customer saying it was made and the customer screwed up. Then committed to get a helper to stack a washer/dryer delayed for a week and then said sorry we can't do it and won't cover the warranty. Work was incomplete and they could care less. I agree with giving no stars. I was directed to "Quality" by Frigidaire - BTW don't buy any of their crappy products. The woman who took my information was incompetent. Couldn't spell, hear or speak articulately. I told her I was sure the control panel was shot and that was the issue. The morning of my appointment I called to make sure someone was coming and I got the same person on the phone. She claimed to not have any info and I had no appointment. I insisted on speaking to a manager. After being put on hold she came back on the phone and said someone would be here in the next 90 minutes. He showed, told me the control panel was shot DUH now he has to order the part which will take days. I also asked for a manager call back from Low Quality service.
