If you leave items in your pockets or they can't clean something, they will let you know. Excellent for shoes. They are not the cheapest, and I wouldn't have them do complex repair work (go to Pride Care cleaners off of Ponce for that). I would like it if they were open till 6 instead of just 5. All in all, a solid dry cleaner that is good for folks with lower volumes who live in the Brookhaven area.

"Hi, Charles" is Sylvia's welcome as soon as I enter the door. Sylvia friendly efficient service is the way things used to be in small town America. So is Town Brookhaven becoming a small town within the urban sprawl of Atlanta? It could be if Sylvia's counterparts at the various restaurants and stores were ore like her. Why four stars? The price. I'm paying more to have my shirts washed and ironed than I did in San Diego.

I WOULD PUT 0 STARS IF I COULD. I brought my expensive $200 comforter here to be professionally…read morecleaned and it was returned to me with a HUGE stain that was NOT there when I dropped it off. I paid $65 for a cleaning service and somehow ended up with my comforter in worse condition than when I brought it in. What made the situation even more unacceptable was how the owner/representative handled it. He was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to actually LISTEN to my concerns. Every time I tried to explain why I was upset or voice my concerns, he talked over me and immediately had a rebuttal. I could barely finish a sentence without being interrupted. There was absolutely no attempt to understand where I was coming from as a customer. It felt like he was more interested in arguing with me than actually resolving the problem. Rather than taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, I was basically told that my options were to either leave the stain as-is or let them attempt to reclean it WITHOUT tying the comforter up, which could potentially ruin it completely. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was also told they could send it to an analyzer, but if the analyzer determined the stain was ultimately my fault, I could be responsible for a $1,000 bill. Yes -- $1,000. Why would I take the risk of potentially owing $1,000 over a problem that appeared after I paid this business to clean my comforter? The absolute bare minimum would have been to refund the $65 service charge since the service clearly did not deliver what I paid for. They refused to do even that, let alone compensate me for the damage to my $200 comforter. I am beyond dissatisfied with both the quality of the service and the customer service I received afterward. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles a mistake says everything. In this case, I felt like the responsibility was pushed onto me and I was left to deal with the consequences. If you have expensive, delicate, or valuable items that you care about, I would seriously think twice before trusting this business with them. I certainly will never be using this business again.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here…read more I recently entrusted this cleaner with a Monnalisa Minnie Mouse Swarovski crystal shirt belonging to my daughter. Monnalisa is a high-end Italian childrenswear designer, and this was a brand-new luxury garment with extensive Swarovski crystal detailing. When I picked up my $377 cleaning order (I gave them 48 garments total), the shirt was returned to me with a substantial amount of the Swarovski crystal embellishment missing. The difference is not subtle. The shirt was visibly and materially damaged while in their care. Fortunately, I photograph my garments the day I bring them in, and I have clear photographs showing exactly how this shirt looked before it was entrusted to the cleaner, as well as photographs and video documenting the condition in which it was returned to me. What I find especially unacceptable is that no one disclosed the damage to me when I picked up my order. I was allowed to pay for and leave with a $377 cleaning order without anyone informing me that my daughter's designer garment had been damaged. I discovered it myself afterward. This is precisely the type of garment for which a customer uses a professional cleaner because they expect it to be handled with the appropriate level of care. If a business accepts a high-end, embellished designer garment for cleaning, I expect either the expertise to properly care for it or the transparency to tell me beforehand that they cannot safely service it. Accidents can happen. Returning a visibly damaged luxury garment without disclosing what happened is a separate issue entirely. I have contacted management directly and requested that they take responsibility and provide an appropriate resolution, including reimbursement for the garment. I will update this review based on how the business chooses to handle the damage and its response.
