Quincy came through for me on an early Sunday morning Stan's search prior to a long day in the saddle. Can't thank him enough!

The campgrounds are excellent, especially Taylor Ridge. But be aware that you need to make reservations ahead of time, especially if you are planning a fall camping trip. Campsites sell out early. Shower rooms are decent, not wonderful. But satisfactory for a campground. Quiet hours are strictly observed, and the park rangers will pay a visit to your campsite if you aren't quiet after 10:00 pm Once we received a visit from a friendly park ranger when we were playing cards around 11 pm. We hadn't realized that we were being noisy at all but the ranger advised us that sound carries throughout the campground. Hiking trails range from easy to moderate. Trail maps are available are the trails are well marked. You will likely see deer and raccoons when hiking the trails. Some members of our group enjoy mountain biking too.

The only bad I would have to say is twice while staying at the campground the power went out. I do NOT! Recommend staying at the INN, Abr Martin Lodge. It needs a major renovation. The air was out in all 5 rooms they tried to put us in. The beds needed a major cleaning. Two were pee stained sheets. The last had dead bugs. The overlooks throughout the park are breathtaking. A definite visit at sunset or sunrise.

When I returned, the bike shop guy was very helpful with information about the town and other places to check out. The store itself is a shotgun style with high ceilings, so they can stack bikes two rows high and even hang rims from the top. They also have lots of accessories and items for skateboarding too. When you walk in, it looks a bit cluttered with the space being so narrow, but if you need anything, you can simply ask the staff to help you. Seemed pretty knowledgeable. I can't say how good the repair service or even how competitive the pricing is since I haven't bought a bike in years. But if you want to deal with someone who has a personality instead of some mindless automaton, check them out! Review #1782

My recommendation: trust your gut. If the person interacting with you looks miserable, rude, and does not want to talk about your bike...run away. The staff is not the most patient and friendly. Going there feels like going through a McDonald's Drive Through, even though there is no one in the store most of times. They did not want to discuss the details of the service or what could be the issue with the bike. When asked about the possibility to get a part replacement, they brushed it off as it would take too much time and did not stop moving forward with "it's going to be ready in 2 days" before I could follow up on the matter. I really needed the bike done, otherwise I would have just walked out the door. The service was very disappointing to say the least. My bike was dirty, and I assumed that paying for tune-up on top of the specific repair it needed would make them clean it up. Again, it is hard to have expectations for the service clear if the person seems unwilling to discuss it at drop off. To my surprise, the bike was as dirty as when I dropped it off. How can you make sure all mechanisms are running smoothly if you did not even clean the bike? I am pretty sure there was no tune-up there. It is frustrating to pay $100 for a ghost tune-up. Makes you wonder if the main repair was really done properly as well. I just did not give the lowest score because they were actually very fast and returned the bike in 2 days as promised. But it's kind of easy when you don't actually do much work on it.

This is a terrible business. My wife has purchased parts and service here several times. She…read moredropped her bicycle off for a tuneup and was told that it was ready a few days before Christmas. We went a couple days after Christmas to pick it up. Since we live over 30 miles away, she checked the website to make sure they were open. We arrived there to find the store closed, with a hand written sign taped to one door saying that they were closed from Christmas until January 2. Needless to say I was pretty upset. I immediately called the store on the phone; no mention about them being closed for more than a week on their outgoing message. I also checked their Facebook page; no post mentioning that they would be closed for more than a week. She picked up her bike after the new year, another 62 mile round trip. When she mentioned what happened, she got a shrug of the shoulders. No apology, explanation or offer to compensate. She even found that one of the services that she paid for was done improperly and had to wait while they fixed it. This business is run in a slipshod, uncaring manner. To close your store for over a week and let people know by taping a sheet of paper to a door is extremely irresponsible. I am never going to patronize this store and am going to urge anyone who will listen to do the same.

Their customer service was amazing. From my initial call down to the service I have nothing but good things to say. Mark serviced my road bike. My bike looked like it had a makeover. GAH! Mark did all this just in time for my group ride this Sunday. If you want expertise and great customer service I suggest making the trip to Plainfield! Support this small business; you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the staff for making my experiences there good ones. They also have a retail area where you can pick up bikes, bike accessories and clothing. It's a one stop shop for those that enjoy cycling...
