Had a wonderful visit! The owner herself did my pedicure today…read more The spa is very clean and organized. She started me off with a gel foot soak and that felt amazing. The water wasn't too hot either. After fifteen minutes of gel-Topia she put salt in the soak and turned it back to water! Woah...what?! So neat. The pedicure wasn't in a chair but I was able to lie back on a massage table and she worked on my feet. I was also given an eye mask so I could relax even more. This made me feel pampered and she talked to me, actually had a conversation with me. This made me feel like my business mattered to her and made me feel good too. I had been here about six years ago and she even remembered me and mentioned a few things to prove she remembered me. Honestly, she made me feel like I want to come back and I will. She is worth the $70 it cost. The pedicure is a great one! I went home feeling better. Thank you, you are amazing and I will be back.

I suffer from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS), which can be incredibly painful and significantly affect daily life. After 12 weeks of physical therapy with little improvement, I began to lose hope that I would ever find relief. Knowing that stress and tight fascia might be contributing to my symptoms, I decided to try therapeutic massage at Spa One. Working with Yale has been life-changing. In less than half the time I spent in physical therapy, my pain and numbness improved dramatically, and I can honestly say I feel 99% better. In addition to treatment, Yale provided exercises to help strengthen the areas that contribute to my TOS and support long-term improvement. This experience has completely changed my perspective on massage therapy. It's not just a luxury--it's an important part of overall health and wellness. I am incredibly grateful for Yale's knowledge, care, and dedication, and I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with chronic pain or mobility issues.

The level of detail and care he put into the massage was incredible--I left feeling like a completely new person. Albeit slightly jello like. :) The service overall was fantastic, as it always is, and the whole experience was so thoughtfully done. If you're looking for a place that actually delivers on quality and provides a calming escape, Spa One is where you want to be. I'm already planning my next visit!

Buyer beware - do NOT pre-pay for a massage with Melissa Mower at An Artist's Touch. What is…read moreunfortunate is that she is actually a pretty good massage therapist, that is, if you can get her to honor her commitments. However, I bought three Groupons from her in the past, & it was always extraordinarily difficult to schedule an appointment to redeem the Groupons. At first I wrote this off because I figured she was a one-woman show and got overwhelmed with the response. However, it's one thing to be overwhelmed initially, and it's another thing to never realize this is a problem that must be fixed if you're going to run a reliable business - especially when you continue to offer new Groupons. After a good massage from the last Groupon I bought, I made the huge mistake of buying gift certificates for massages at Christmas-time in 2011. Then began the months-long ordeal of trying to get these redeemed. One of my gift-recipients scheduled massages FOUR times, only to be stood up for all of her appointments. After months and months of calls and text messages, long delays in response, cancellations, etc, I got her to honor two of the gift certificates, even though she had only put a two-month validity date on them (which is already a fairly bad business practice). One of them literally took until the following August to schedule successfully. Two other friends (one of whom also wrote a review here) have purchased massages or received gift certificates for them and have had similar problems, only they didn't even have any success redeeming their massages. I had to to border on harassment and ask for my money back a couple times to get her to redeem mine, and obviously, most people would probably just give up. Makes you wonder if it's a good strategy on her part, to sell something and then just make it really, really hard to redeem it. I truly don't know if Melissa is running a scam, or if she's just a really flaky business-woman, but she seriously needs to improve her business practices and integrity. After practically forcing her to honor a gift certificate last August, she offered to give me a good deal on my future massages, presumably to stop me from writing negative reviews, but it was too little, too late. I will not return. I saw a new Groupon being offered today, which is what spurred me to write this review now.

This location in SLC was staffed by Steven, who with his helpful and kind attitude made our 30+ minute visit really enjoyable. My wife and I had a 3 hour layover in Salt Lake City. We knew we were going to have dinner at the Delta Sky Club lounge, but wanted to check out services provided by this Xpress Spa beforehand. This location came up as part of the Priority Pass online directory. When we stopped in, we found out that the complementary service was for a 30 minute chair massage. They have two side by side, in a curtained off room, and both were available, allowing us to relax at the same time. Simple questions were asked, and our answers (focus on lower back, include heat, and lights dimmed) made the 30 minutes go by really quickly. Various attendants checked up on us throughout, to make sure we were doing OK and that we didn't fall asleep and miss anything important. Definitely worth doing if one has extra time, likes massages, and having the chairs available.
