I also am beginning to suffer from ankle pain due to falls and compression coming off of bouldering problems. Anna was able to introduce me to trigger point acupuncture, which significantly improved my range of motion and flexibility, as well as helped to decrease tension in my neck and shoulders. Additionally, the stiffness in my ankles has abated and I feel much less sore. My experience with Anna was wonderful. She really takes a whole body and mind approach to her practice, and really makes you feel like you are the only thing going on in her day. The initial consult was very thorough, but I was surprised at how much tension I seemed to be storing from things completely unrelated to climbing, but that were definitely affecting the muscles I used for the activity. Her bedside manner is phenomenal, and she is very mindful of explaining what she is doing, consistently checking in with you to make sure you are comfortable and safe. Im greatly looking forward to continued work with Anna and believe you will be very happy should you decide to seek treatment with her. My next sessions will hopefully involve cupping in addition to more trigger point therapy.

She did not "over talk" and her description of the process and the reaction my body would have was exactly as she described. Dr. Ding highly recommended I utilize Herbs which she would suggest at the end of the session. Once I received my post appointment folder, no Herbs were suggested. I was very skeptical of acupuncture/pressure having no experience with it, but after 1/2 hour session here I am amazed and will return for even routine services. A massage to work on the tissue allowed him to locate my areas of tightness, then 1 round of acupuncture left me with range of motion on one side and 1/2 on the other. He did a second round which left me amazed at my sudden ability to look in all directions. So thankful and happy and will be returning!

I think I've silently sobbed in the back room each time just explaining the pain, and each acupuncturist has been so kind, so present, and so calming. I drift off to sleep nearly every time. For me, I often find I am in more pain immediately after, but I 100% think acupuncture helps in the long run in healing. The space is clean and comfortable. I wish there was a ramp out front for those days I'm having trouble even walking up 5 steps, but there is a small wheelchair elevator to access the space (I just haven't used it since I'm still on my feet, for now!). I'll continue to come here. In fact, I threw my back out last night and came to this Yelp to get the phone number to make an appt and decided to leave this review too. I leave in 5 days to explore Amsterdam & Madrid - I'll update here if I'm healed by then! Edit** I spent the week before my trip on my back, immobile except coming to H&L three different times (for acupuncture and estem) and was religious about heating pads, soaking in the hot tub, and applying bio freeze/taking CBD. Over 7 days I barely walked 1 mile. Then I flew to Amsterdam and Madrid and walked a total of 29 miles over 7 days, while carrying a heavy backpack and pulling a suitcase. Not to mention, all the exploring, dancing (raves baby!), and movement. I can 10000% say that Herb & legend made this trip possible, and I would've been completely screwed without them. I got cupping and and needles. The cupping helped my shoulders tremendously and I was able to gain some relief, but was also educated on deeper-rooted issues that I wouldn't have otherwise identified myself. Throughout the process, she was able to clearly explain what she was doing, and what the intended results and goals would be for treatments. She even encouraged and explained things I could do on my own to help aid in my journey to relief. It was comfortable knowing that she is an expert in her field, and that her treatment would be able to target areas that I didn't even know existed on my body. Needles? Scared, but she did such a wonderful job in helping my fears, and guess what, I got needles stuck in me. I don't write many reviews at all unless I really feel the impact of my experience, and did I LITERALLY feel it. Needles to say (pun intended), that acupuncture has entered it's way into my life to stay because of this wonderful experience. I can tell and vouch for Christina's passionate ability to heal people, and I could not have picked a better clinic to visit. Bottom line, I've felt the best more recently than in a long time. The whole treatment felt like a new experience, and helped me tremendously. I came in and got more than what I was expecting.
