Kandi that's a stellar job. She is sweet she is kind she listens. She is very gentle. I have only been going to her for a couple of months. I have a bad back and this certainly helps relieve the tension during flareups that I have. it's a very quiet office with them. The governors mansion always clean and there's never too many people waiting, sometimes the weight can be a little long but she definitely makes it up by giving you the individual one-on-one attention that you deserve. She's the type of person that if you are a talker while you're receiving your treatment, she will chat if you're not a talker she will allow you to relax you can go to sleep. I have been here a number of times, and have enjoyed my treatment of acupuncture and one Reiki. It is community acupuncture, which I have experienced in CA and Boulder. I would like it better if there was a sliding scale for payment. "The goal should be affordable acupuncture accessible to the community". Most community acupuncture is set up that way $40-$75 depending on what you can afford. It is a nice, relaxing space and I have had a good experience here. read more

I don't often write reviews and I think this is my first bad review. However, I feel it's important to share my experience here so others know what to expect or what they might experience. I've had acupuncture many times before and am trying to find a regular spot in Denver. This is my first time trying community acupuncture and I won't be coming back here. Why? Today I saw Debra. The consult was fine, first 20 minutes of my session was fine. However, another client came in about midway through and was discussing with Debra some toxic relationship he was dealing with or getting over. It was loud enough to disturb my session and went on the rest of the time I was there. It went on so long that Debra left me there probably about 15 minutes longer than she was supposed to because they were chatting. Instead of helping me relax and get some pain relief, I left feeling tense and frustrated. read more

This place is affordable, professional and caring. I've gone there a lot over the years and they've always taken great care of me. They have helped me with stress, heal plantar fasciitis, and a shoulder issue. I've liked all of the practitioners that I've worked with and felt respected and well cared for. As for some of the reviews stating that they gave a bad rating due to the community style of treatment and issues that arise from It like noise... if you do not want to do community style treatment, do not go there. Don't rate a business poorly due the fact that you chose to have treatment there and then didn't like the style of a community-based room. They are very upfront about this. I was gifted with a Groupon to check out the facility. The first time was great very relaxing environment. So why the One Star? I was gifted with another Groupon but in the fine print at the very bottom of the page when you purchase the discounted code it says it is only redeemable for New Customers. We were unaware of the stipulation because it was a the very bottom of the page, usually you buy a code and redeem it whenever. We arrived for there last appointment on Sunday and we're told we could not use the Groupon and we would have to pay regular price per person. We would of payed a little more but our only option was to pro rate the Groupon and pay for regular price admission. Not about health or helping people it's about profit. read more

My dad has this person in China that he sees every once in a while. This guy looks at dad, checks his ears, and looks at his tongue. Then this person gives my dad some tea followed by some type of bodywork (always different). My dad goes on and on about how great he feels after, and this place is as close as I will get to that in Colorado. I come in, answer some questions, have my tongue looked at, then follow up with some cupping. I always leave feeling amazing. I have done acupuncture here, and realize that it isn't just my thing. However, the other treatments here are great, and the way staff are able to tell a lot about just by looking and truly listening to you is wonderful! read more

Loved it. As a first time ever On acupuncture they made me Feel comfortable about the entire appointment from start to finish. I really enjoyed it and did feel zen afterward. Having a 10 month old along with 3 other children of various ages and having a full load on other things, I had a lot of stress. Today was my second time here. The first time I came, I explained the issue I was having with my finger which I have had horrible stiffness in due to an injury. The gentleman I met with said he had never had anyone come in for this type of thing. I found this strange and immediately questioned whether I came to the right place. He was nice and gentle and although it didn't do anything for my finger, I felt very relaxed after my session and booked again but this time with someone else. The lady I met with today was very quiet and I only mentioned I had a headache. She had me lie face down which got a bit uncomfortable after a while but she never came to check on me so I couldn't ask for her to adjust my neck holder. After she pulled the needles out, I realized she cut my one hour appointment short by 20 minutes. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she acted surprised but said "Well it really depends on how many other people she has booked and who comes in." What?! There were two others there. I paid for an hour, you advertise that your sessions are an hour so that's what I'm expecting. I could see if it were 5 minutes less but 20 minutes? I want my money back! read more

I moved here about a year ago from Chicago, and was in dire need of affordable acupuncture. Found these guys on Yelp with great reviews, and a short walk from my apartment. I've been in about a dozen times now and can say that it's one of the most relaxing and rewarding things i can spend my money on. Hong, i believe is the therapist who works on Thursdays, she's the best. I swear after leaving here I feel like I've reached Nirvana. Okay, I may be exaggerating slightly, but it's almost there. If you've never had acupuncture before, I urge you to give it a try for a few sessions before you vote yes or no. I found acupuncture about 4 years ago after i had suffered my dozenth concussion and had a daily migraine. Acupuncture was party of my weekly treatment that eventually helped me get better. Now i go if my back hurts from sitting to long, or if i have a stress headache or even just am feeling a cold come on. For those who have had acupuncture, this is the best community style acupuncture i've ever had. They have tables for 6 guests to be treated in a very relaxing and warm environment. You can choose to be face up or face down. They recommend you wear loose fitting clothing and drink plenty of water before and after. Give them a go and you will thank me! read more

I cannot recommend the Acupuncture Lounge enough. I've been going here for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I have been receiving acupuncture on and off for over 10 years now and I've been to a few other community style clinics in the past - Acupuncture Lounge is the nicest one that I've been to. I have been seeing Hong Ma for all of my treatments, and she is amazing, a true healer! She is intuitive and I have had great success with my treatments - I had severe knee pain from an old injury and she has helped me to keep the pain under control and hopefully forestall surgery for a few more years. read more

My appointment was with Kandi. The space is very calm and clean so I felt an immediate sense of relaxation. Prior to my appointment I filled out a questionnaire so I was all ready to go when I arrived. We briefly talked about what was going on for me (based off of what she saw on my intake). When I got on the table Kandi was explaining and teaching me about what she was doing and why. Kandi has this very open and loving, fun, grounding and wise energy about her. I could tell that she was passionate about her patients health and loves what she does. I had never felt connected/cafe for by an acupuncturist like this before (almost spiritually). She made sure I was comfortable and really nailed (found) where my most tender spots without leaving me in pain. I was sooooo deeply relaxed. After she applied this incredible oil that worked its magic for over an hour after leaving. My back feels so relaxed right now. She also offered some Qi Gong exercises to me via email, for my back pain. If you want to go to a place that is not only affordable, accommodating, and leaves you better than when you came in come to the Acupuncture Lounge and book with Kandi (I'm sure the other practitioners are great as well, I just happen to be seen by Kandi and I'm glad I was). This place is open everyday with great flexible hours! I tend to accumulate a lot of tension on my right shoulder and acupuncture always seems to help. I used to go in Saturday mornings, but there seemed to be a lot of people booked for similar times, so I ended up being there for about and hour and half total. I since started going on weekday evenings, and it seems to be less crowded. They have a few people that can do acupuncture, so far the two that I've had have been very knowledgeable and professional. Everyone is really nice here, which I truly appreciate. The prices for acupuncture sessions are $30 after the first visit. The place does not have its own parking lot, but there's always plenty of street parking. This is my go-to place for acupuncture, I highly recommend it, they also have affordable massage sessions, which are very popular so one must book in advance. read more

Great, comfortable place to go! I was a little shy coming in at first but right away when I came in, the acupuncturist herself, Laura, greeted me with the biggest brightest nicest smile!! She guided me through my first experience there with a lot of love. Laura also got me right away. My first experience with acupuncture and I must say, I am so excited to return! I suffered quite a bit of stress between 2015-2016 and the stress finally caught up to me. Despite my continued practice of yoga, meditation, time outdoors, and fitness, I struggled to maintain equilibrium... cue my desire try something new! I love this place! It is affordable, bright and airy, relaxing and welcoming. I have been three times and seen three different acupuncturists. I would say Laura was my favorite. She was the only one who wore gloves and seemed to follow Health code rules and regulations. She listened to me and took her time during our consultation. The place is always packed no matter the time of day. My only complaint is that it can be a little cold during acupuncture and I wish they would provide a heating pad or turn the heat up. Been coming here for years and absolutely love it. My favorite practioner is Hong Ma. She can literally tell me my life story just by listening to my pulse and gives treatments that leave me feeling noticeably better right away. I have also been treated by Sylvia, who is LOVELY amd I see her when my schedule allows. Both doctors are gentle and I don't feel any discomfort with the needles. They also offer great advice on food, herbs, and general wellness. The space is calming and warm, really welcoming and clean. I've been going to the Acupuncture Clinic for a few weeks to help with lower back and hip pain stemming from an accident that ruptured a few discs in my lower back. After refusing to take narcotic pain medication and muscle relaxers, I decided to try acupuncture to help me deal with the constant throbbing pain that will not go away. My first two treatments were with Heather, and she was great. I was still hurting after the first session, but the second session provided a few hours of relief until I strained my back again that afternoon. That strain landed me in the ER after having severe muscle spasms in my back and hips and numbness in my feet and legs. I saw Hong last night to see if acupuncture could help with the lingering spasms and pain. I've seen my fair share of doctors, chiropractors, and various other therapists for my pain, but Hong showed a depth of compassion I have yet to see in the years I've been dealing with this. Her genuine concern felt like a warm, soothing blanket after months in a cold, hard place. She asked a lot of questions in order to figure out what was causing so much pain, and after my treatment, she massaged my hips and back for a few minutes. When I left the clinic, I was still in tremendous pain, but this morning, for the first time in ages, I woke up with no pain. I am so happy, I could cry with relief. Because the prices are so low, I can actually afford to continue to come back as often as needed, and I don't have to worry about the harmful effects of pain medication. It was terrible. This was my first time doing acupuncture, and I made that very clear upon arrival. I was not only a new patient but I also needed some guidance on what to expect or maybe how I should feel afterwards. A friend recommended this place, but what really sold me was the consultation with Hong. I didn't want a typical doctor experience, when they take a few notes and send you on your way. I wanted someone to help me treat and understand my pain. So I paid the additional fee for new patients, $45 vs. $35. Fine, but what was that for?? I filled out the forms as requested and noted stiff neck, back issues, headaches, intense pressure in my left ear, and my knee pain. My "consultation" lasted 2 minutes and all Hong asked was what knee hurt. She shared nothing about the process, asked nothing about my headaches, neck, back, or ear pressure. She led me to the "farm" of others or open room of 6 other beds all lined next to each other. She took attention to my knee then left me for almost an hour without any explanation. No "don't move" or "okay rest and relax for the next hour". I could not unwind - the sound of a cupping session made it impossible to relax as well as the harsh lighting above me. Beyond that,my left arm was THROBBING, sharp shooting pains and I could not ignore them. But there was no one to ask. I had ZERO idea what was going on or why this was taking so long. On the forms it noted these sessions take 22 minutes, but that was the only time I was given. All along, the main reason I sought out some help was my NECK. And nothing. She didn't ask, she didn't pay any attention to it. I can't say this enough- I was visibly distraught was when she came over and then she just led me to the door. She didn't ask if I was okay, didn't ask if It helped. She.walked.away. After walking outside to my car, the pain in my arm was still throbbing, my knee hurt even more and my left hand was stiff and swollen. I came back in almost in tears asking if she could help me understand what was supposed to happen, why everything hurt, and she just said I should "eat and relax." This should go without saying but don't make condescending comments about people's medications that they have divulged in their intake form, especially when the meds are antidepressants. About a month and a half ago I saw Jen and after talking to her about what I was dealing with she scoffed about how my psychiatrist was unnecessarily prescribing me two medications that did the same thing for my depression (in reality they're completely different chemicals addressing completely different symptoms). I already have to deal with the stigma of depression every day, I don't want to feel judged when I come to you for healing and peace. I'm not trying to be overly harsh but you are not a mental health professional, please stay in your lane. read more

I recently had a pain in my neck that radiated down my arm. I tried everything; heat, cold, stretching. Nothing worked.
