What makes this particular QFC shine are its people. Mary, Richard, Laura, Bailey, Janset, Hailey, Audrey, Stephen, Rachel--and many others--all make us feel welcome and that we matter. I wish more places of business created an environment in which their employees felt they could be themselves the way that this QFC does. It makes shopping there a pleasure when the employees seem happy and interact with customers in a genuine and lighthearted way. This grocery store has fresh produce and slightly better pricing than Safeway on produce and natural food products. The issue I have is with the employees. Sometimes I get nice, polite cashiers and others complete stone cold and rude. Most of the employees are Caucasian (probably due to the local population). I am a person of Color. Ironically there is one POC employee, a young tall man, I believe is Indian, who played Chicken with me with his large utility cart used for stocking shelves. He blocked me in an aisle where there is room for only one. It was him and his large cart vs. me and my small shopping cart. He pressed forward, forcing me to backup. When it comes to grocery stores in North Bend, you currently have the choice between Safeway and QFC. This QFC is a lot smaller than the Safeway, and the store feels a bit cramped. QFC has two self checkout stations by both entrances, but there are times when just one self checkout station is open, and long lines form in the aisles. The cashier assisted checkout can be slow as well. Food is generally in stock, and I've even been able to shop there during a power outage. Their cashier stations are working, but you cannot purchase anything that requires refrigeration. This may be helpful to know when North Bend has a power outage. read more

I love my home qfc, but today we ordered our first custom cake in 31 years (we have a love of Costco sheet cake) but I was beyond e static as were our guests. My neighbors son is an employee at QFC in town and apparently his manager, Daniel, decided that it was a good idea to take his son's bike from the storage room to outside the building, without asking or investigating whose bike it was and someone stole it from QFC on Sunday. Self check out is a rip off! We receive no discount for doing g the work of your staff! What is up with that? It's not convenient for any of us with a full huge cart! As I was leaving the store this morning (7/11/20) I saw three people walk in the store and realize they didn't have their masks... as a store employee was walking out she overheard them mention they didn't have their mask and started to turn at to go get it, she told them, "oh, don't worry about wearing a mask, no one here cares if you wear a mask"... the people then continued to walk into the store with their shirts raised over their face. I was buying groceries for my daughter after surgery and stopped by the pharmacy to ask the pharmacist a question regarding taking Tylenol with the pain medicine. I just wanted clarification that we were doing the right thing. I've never had a man be so rude and condescending in a customer service role in my entire life. I went to QFC in search of Champagne and Space Dust IPA. When I entered the establishment, I had no idea which bottle of champagne to buy. Within seconds of me being there a worker could tell that I was having trouble and pointed me in the right direction. Not only did she help me find what I was looking for but also gave me the best customer service experience I had ever had in a grocery store setting. When I was checking out in the self-service station the scanner had trouble with my ID ( I am from NY so understandable) The lady running the station helped me and got me on my way very quick. The North Bend QFC is our local grocery store, and we love them. My five year old and 2 year old get to participate in their free fruit program, where they pick out a piece a fruit and eat while we shop. We rarely wait in line, as they are well-staffed, and the team here is on point - kind, patient with our kids (and my husband and I, as we usually walk to the store, and have to spend time carefully shoving our groceries into our stroller every weekend), and just lovely. read more

We needed to stock up for our trip back to California. Its long drive and 4 kids cant go 8 seconds without complaining about not having some type of snack in their face. They are comparable to Safeway or Albertson's. I signed up for their discount card because, why not. I'm only going to shop here once a year. The prices and discounts seemed the same. A nice variety of snacks. I bought dinner to cook one night as well. Some of the checkers where hit or miss. I was slightly disappointed with customer service. I'm apologizing now for any inconvenience I put on anyone who had to check my groceries out that day. There was one person in floral who made up for it. He was very nice to me and my kids. I like QFC in general, although sometimes I find their prices just slightly high (higher than say, Trader Joe's or Costco, as far as organic food goes). When we moved here a few months ago, I was glad to have a QFC here in town. The selection isn't the same as the QFC in the Broadway Market, but it's a small town, and I think their selection is fine for the population they're providing for. Best of all, every time I go in there looking for something specific (organic, raw honey, etc.), their staff is super helpful and friendly. The pharmacy department is touch-and-go with their customer service, as not all of the employees are regulars at that particular location. Generally, the North Bend QFC has an open, friendly atmosphere with helpful employees (mostly), and a reasonable selection for a small town. Good job! Edit: Wow. I changed this review from four stars to one star. Whatever you guys have done in the last month or so, it sucks. Where is the friendly lady who used to cashier in the evenings, and why don't you have a cashier on duty at 9 pm?? There's just one poor kid who looks utterly confused (and really young) standing around at the U-Check station, and not really caring too much about any questions or issues you're having. WTF? This has been going on every evening that we go in to shop for about a month or two. Change it, or you're going to lose our business. So, I was told that this place was a "cheap Safeway". I was assuming they meant "cheap" as in "bootleg" or "seedy". But, after visiting QFC, I'm assuming they meant "inexpensive". It wasn't necessarily more inexpensive than Safeway, but they definitely had a way better selection at competitive prices. The store is nice. I'm assuming because the area seems to have a higher per capita income than most. But, what stood out were two things. First, the customer service. The young woman at the Deli counter was super sweet and helpful. She was really patient with us as we figured out what types of sandwiches we wanted. But, the best part of this QFC was the selection of vegetarian & vegan items and meat substitutes at incredibly fair prices. If I lived in the area, I would definitely shop at QFC. 4.5 stars. read more

No social distancing! Some employees not wearing masks, yet they walk right up to you and breathe in your face. An employee in the produce department wearing one down around his chin. Many, many customers not wearing masks and walking right up to people. An employee told me they are not allowed to say anything to people. Me and my friends came to this QFC after a day of hiking and it provided EVERYTHING we needed to replenish our bodies. See, it all started when our rental van got stuck in snow on the road to the trail. We had NO CHANCE of getting out by ourselves, as we were ill prepared but a really nice man named Brian helped us get out with his truck! Only thing was HE GOT STUCK helping us! So we then had to try to pull him out with our van hahah! Anyway, 2.5 hours later we are finally hiking, which we were SOO excited to do as we are visiting from the elevation-deprived land of Michigan. WE LOVE SEATTLE! I simply had too many groceries for this to work. No place to put everything. A young lady was there and was less than no help. Simply told me that's how it is. This is a review for the QFC bakery in North Bend. #1- is about being a community person. I live in Snoqualmie and I have a business in Snoqualmie but when North Bend City needs me, I am there. In fact, I feel I support North Bend more in their city activities more than Snoqualmie and I feel a little bad about it but they ask my help more, so I am there. If Snoqualmie asks me, I probably would. But that's my point. . I'm there to help because I love to support the community. Unfortunately, QFC North Bend Bakery Does not feel the same way. Yesterday, I had a cake order. I ran out of edible ink but I have edible paper. Normally, we would run to the QFC in Issaquah or the QFC in Newcastle. All the bakery departments there usually assist us. They are always helpful. But they also ran out of supplies yesterday. So, we went to North Bend. The last 2 times, North Bend was helpful. Their decorator was very friendly and assisted us in our need when the City of Snoqualmie needed a photo cake order. But yesterday, they had a new bakery manager. And she was not happy. And she did not want to help us at all. The weird part of it all, we didn't even tell her the name our business, but she looked at the photo on the USB and told my nephew you're our competitor, so we can't do this for you. Technically, we're really not their competitor since we're a high end bakery. We do "custom design" cakes. Cakes QFC can't even make. Our flavors are even far from what they make. Secondly, printing out edible photos is a service they offer. So they should not even choose who they serve. I am a customer whether they like it or not. This new bakery manager they hired was truly out of context. So, my nephew called me and I spoke with this lady. She even addressed me using my first name and I don't even know her. So strange! Still she refuses to print it. So I spoke with the store manager who was a little bit linient and tried to accommodate me. But I believe they were trying to find faults so they couldn't assist me. Finally a guy got on the phone with me and said that the photo I was trying to print is copyrighted by Nintendo . I told him it's somebody from the legal team in Nintendo who ordered this cake. If they want a call or email from him I can get it for them. Yet they still refused. I said I can get it on a letterhead With matching business card. And the guy told me how will he know is true. Are they kidding me? Now you know they are just getting ridiculous. QFC head quarters needs to hear about this. To think they overcharge on their sheets as well. Heck, I am not suppoting them anymore. I even send customers to them. Now, no way. I can't say anything good to them. They have sucky cake flavors to begin with. QFC is never my first choice for grocery shopping (never mind that I don't live where there are QFCs anymore), but this location is surprisingly nice. It's large and appears to have a good selection, at least of the items on my cousin's wife's list. My mom and I enjoyed picking out "surprise" fruits and vegetables for her from their nice product section, and laughing when my mom wondered aloud if "real maple syrup" meant Mrs. Butterworth. If I had to spend time in this, the last outpost of civilization before the wilds of (shudder) central Washington (I kid, I kid!), I'd probably do my regular shopping here. read more

This is probably the most expensive grocery store in all of Western Washington. I only go here for small items, when I'm out of flour or need some coffee creamer. Otherwise, the drive to Issaquah is well worth the savings on groceries. I've been extremely unhappy on two seperate occassions to get home and realize that the product I just purchased (once it was lunch meat, the other coffee creamer) are past their expiration date. I do not think that I should have to return to a grocery store to return an expired item! That is something that should be checked, checked and rechecked. From now on when I need something from a nearby store, I'm headed to Safeway. read more

QFC North Bend is the friendliest grocery store. The employees are well trained and accessible, the store is clean and well organized and the management team does a great job interacting with and being supportive of the community. pesto pasta and pea is where it's at. the sushi (when fresh) is good. but the pot stickers were rubbery and really unpleasant. the chicken egg roll was edible but there wasn't much else to it. I like the people who work at the qfc-nb but the safe bet for taste is getting something packaged/not refrigerated. read more
