It's a supermarket. It does "supermarket" about as well as any supermarket I've been to. The people are also nice. The ambience is distinctly supermarket like. *Newest Update: I received a call back from the manager with the dismissive demeanor staying that he'd reviewed the register footage and says he saw me take the receipt and my change and put it in my left pocket. I'll have to request access to the footage; I could've lapsed and be wrong but I highly doubt it with change from a 100 dollar bill! I've checked the pockets on my pants and thoroughly searched my truck and there no qfc receipt or cash aside from the $6 I leave in my ashtray.* You know how when you go to your local QFC and you see friendly familiar faces and it makes you feel good to shop there even if the p process are a bit stiff. Today was a huge cluster of...just awkwardness and unfortunate circumstance. Typically after 6pm the daily donuts are discounted; they're considered day old...which makes sense to me! As I'm checking out, the 3 donuts I was purchasing rang up @ $17.99, I asked the self checkout clerk about the price of the donuts after 6pm and she said she didn't know, nor did she refer to a co-worker for confirmation. She just voted the $17.99 and charged me $1.89 each for essentially day old donuts...after 6pm! I was taken back and slightly frustrated and I'm the process of paying cash I forgot to grab my change for the bill I used. I didn't realize it until I was in my rig at the light about to turn left...in that time someone‍ grabbed my change and took off. When I came back and inquired about anyone returning unclaimed change, I got 2 no's and a shrug. Then the black woman, whom I'm assuming was in charge, had a..." I could give a damn, that's what you get!" vibe. Am I surprised? No; shit happens when you're distracted, apparently the thief needed my change more than I did...God's Hands My miss the crew that usually works self checkout! UPDATE: After talking to a manager this morning with the same 'could care less' attitude as the lady from last night, I accept the fact that my change from my $100 payment will not be recovered and I accept the possibility of my change being taken by an employee...such is life. Just went to the bakery on 9/30/25 and the donut pantry was loaded with gnats and flying bugs. It is absolutely disgusting.

We have no problem with this store - so can't speak to the complaints that have been made. I've generally liked QFC since I moved back to WA state; don't know if it's just because it's still kind of a novelty to me (although fyi other membership cards work here, not sure which, sorry). I have always thought they had an interesting and wide selection and I've never had an issue with service. As for location, it's a busy parking lot but there IS parking and several other businesses and eateries, incl. Starbucks. I find it convenient and they usually have good sales. I think it's neat they sell Top Pot donuts here (although they are not a fave of mine, it's nice to feature a popular local brand). Seem to be shopping here more and more. read more

Wow! I just got raked over the coals in the floral department. I purchased 2 balloons on Amazon for my Mom's 99th birthday. I took them to QFC to add the helium. The sign said helium for Mylar balloons $4.99. I asked for them to be filled, thinking it would be $4.99 a piece. The gal came over in a hurry and ripped open my bag of balloons and started to fill them. She stopped and asked if I had paid yet. I told her no. She grabbed a Mylar balloon packet and said take this to the counter and have them ring this up twice. They were $12.99 a piece! I stopped the checker and told her that I brought in my own balloons, I just needed to pay for the helium. She left to speak to the gal filling them, then came back to tell me that helium has gone up a lot, so that was the price. I told her the dollar store sells these same balloons (filled) for $4.99 a piece!.... Which I had just found out the day before. If she hadn't of already filled them I would have sent mine back to Amazon and bought the same balloons at the dollar store for $4.99!! Very poor customer service! Dear Manager, You are lucky you still have a job because you have not had your freezers at a cold enough temperature this entire summer. I have complained numerous times and been food poisoned by the cordon bleu which I don't even attempt to eat anymore, but still condensation can be seen on every glass door in every aisle that has frozen food. Everything is thawed and it is your fault. You should resign in shame before you cause any more food poisoning to any more patrons. You are terrible at your job and negligent and you clearly don't care about anyone's safety. In short- you belong in Seattle. read more

Wow. What a rude guy that I had to deal with. I'm disabled and walk with a cane. I had a store ad in my other hand and I put it on top of some shipping boxes for a few seconds while I looked at the hot dog ingredients. It is hard to hold them and an ad when you also have a cane. The guy putting stuff away got mad at me for putting the as there. He was like.. really? Your going to put that there? And so forth . He didn't apologize when I told them he was being rude either. I told the manager and he said.. "are you sure it was our employee?". I called qfc customer service. And they said . "They will take what I said on consideration". Well. I'm considering never shopping at any Kroger store again. I can't believe they treat disabled people this way. read more

This is regarding the condition of the normandy park QFC deli counter: I came here last Monday early morning around 3am to get my daughter some cough drops. I happened past the deli counter on the way to also pick up some milk. I immediately notice the poor unclean condition of the deli case. Pure disgust: if this were in an actual restaurant they would be shut down IN A HEARTBEAT! All of the salads were STILL OUT and none of them had been wrapped. Still in their original serving bowls. UTINSELS STILL IN THE BOWLS! There were gobs of salads all over the counter inside the case, slabs of deli meat and cheese all over too. There were at least 4 flies in the case, happy as flies on sh@?, literally. It looked like the workers had a food fight and left as soon as the football game came on. This place needs a thorough cleaning and the workers need to be trained to return the salads to the cold storage case every night, removing the spoons and wrapping in cellophane. I feel horrible for not addressing this sooner and hope no one got sick the next day from the brewing bacteria in this primordial filth fest. read more

Recently started visiting QFP when Safeway didn't have organic vanilla soy milk (I had gone to Safeway hundreds of times). What I discovered was that QFP had similar prices and better assortment of organic veggies etc. QFP seems to be a busier store but has shorter checkout lines. Yes the checkout folks at QFP are warm, answer questions, making the shopping a rather more pleasant experience. BIG bonus. I left my phone in the cart & didn't discover until I thoroughly searched the car at home. I called & Felicia said my phone is locked in their safe! Upon getting back there, Cortney and Felicia had me ID the phone & then refused any reward. Imagine how that kicked my opinion of that store from 'very good' to fantastic! Grocery shopping here with my nephew, who is half-black. Two strange men were following us around the entire time. I alerted management here that we felt uncomfortable being followed and was informed that they have hired undercover security from a different company to try and catch shoplifters. The two strange men who were following us were undercover security. I feel as though they singled us out because my nephew is half-black. Completely racist. I expressed my concerns about this to management and they were Unapologetic. The Manhattan QFC is a basic neighborhood grocery store. Since QFC was bought by Kroger, it has slowly become a small Fred Meyer; they sell furniture, sweatshirts, and other things a neighborhood store should not be cluttered with. The deli is staffed by overworked and unfriendly workers. The wine selection is very impressive, as is the produce department. There is an in-store Starbucks, which makes no sense since there is an actual Starbucks just steps away. There are a large number of self-checkout stations; but if you have problems while using them, you will have to hunt down an employee for assistance. It is the only decent grocery in the area, so it will not improve over time; get used to it, I have. read more

Poor customer service at the self checkout... Okay, so I chose the self checkout line, you'd expect that I didn't want help. But, I do need bags for my groceries! Bags were out on one of the two stands where you set your groceries, after you've scanned them. I had a lot of groceries today and needed to use both stands. I pushed the button to call an attendant, FIVE times! All I heard was three attendants chatting away behind me (yes, the call button was working, I heard it all five times). This woman finally came over, switched the front stand with the back one (front was the one without bags), in the process almost dropping one of my bags of produce. How does this help? I could reach the one on the back without you switching them for me. She said she'd find me more bags, then went back chatting. In the mean time, I was piling and stuffing all my groceries on the front stand. She eventually got done talking about her not wearing makeup usually, blah blah blah blah, and came back. Yup, at this time she could sense my frustration and dished right back with her body language. Without saying a word, she cut into my space and heavily put down a stand with bags on the back side. Great 24 hrs grocery store despite the expensive prices they tag around, but ... what can you say? It is QFC. The sales clerks are helpful and friendly. Once again, QFC has great quality meat. I bought buy one get one free pork chop tray. Look for the sales: sometimes, you get good deals at QFC for the meat. Other grocery stores carry cheaper meat, but I just personally prefer QFC when I'm lazy to go to Costco. read more

I live nearby but have stopped going here for safety reasons, store/property management just doesnt care. Had numerous scary incidents coming in & out of store but final straw was getting robbed in the parking lot. Prices hiked way up but too cheap to hire any security, if u wanna pretend you're 'fancy' at least ensure customers can survive the parking lot On a different note, last time i dared to go here i saw *three* non-working dogs allowed inside, anyone with minuscule knowledge of SD training & ADA law could tell all 3 were untrained, not providing any service & barely even under control. "Emotional Support Animals" have no public training and no public rights beyond air travel, u need to educate your staff on the ADA approved procedure for filtering this bullcrap out not just to protect customer safety/hygiene but to protect trained working dogs from these pets distraction or even aggression (can be questioned and ejected for bad behavior or inadequate response ie: claiming 'emotional support' is not valid for public access). Im not anti-k9, im a trainer and service dog advocate, and by allowing this to go on & neglecting to educate & direct your employees you are actually endangering legitimate service dog teams. read more

I like this qfc store but I'm a little disappointed about my last visit. I went here to get a cake from the bakery at 11pm since I know that this is a 24 hour store but when I got there I just saw an employee talking on her phone and letting me know that no one is available at the bakery after 10pm. A little disappointed but I still like this store. Hopefully they fix that problem. read more

Most staff are very friendly. The deli staff has taken a turn for the worst over the last six months or so. Overall, not a bad grocery store, but the deli counter needs help stat. QFC Normady Park - Bakery Department Had a 50th birthday cake made - most of my communication was done over the phone I never actually met the person who made my cake. There were specific instructions given to make this cake special once I picked up the cake I was so disappointed I wanted to leave it at the store. This qfc has a really great sandwiches. Here is the reason for the 2 stars. They can never seem to be consistent.. when one of the guys makes my sandwich it is the best. One of the girls there puts one piece of meet and hardly any veggies.. I'm basically just eating bread when she makes it. I never know if I should get something extra to actually fill me up or if it's going to be the biggest sandwich I've ever had. The customer service most of the time is awful. If you are standing waiting for them to make your sandwich all you will hear is them talking with their personal life. They also have complained about having to make a sandwich multiple times and try to pawn it off on someone else. read more

I'm a fan of Kroger stores - I've shopped at Smith's in Reno and Ralph's in Los Angeles. I've found QFC better then Smiths as far as club card savings, selection and prices, but not as good as Ralph's - a lot of things here are pretty overpriced and the savings even with your club card aren't that great. Three stars though because the store is very clean and well taken care of and the staff is very friendly but I've found much cheaper places to shop around here. read more

I typically have a really good experience at the QFC in Normandy Park. The staff is nice and we can get through the lines quick. HOWEVER my last experience at the deli was pretty saddening. I came in to get meat and cheese for our french dip sandwichs at home. I was greeted by a dreary older women who did NOT want to be helping customers at the moment. She asked me what I wanted and was not very pleased that I had questions regarding which items she would suggest. Instead she told me what was pricier- at the time I wanted to know which meat brand she believed would go best. Atleast she asked what size I wanted the meat sliced at. Not to far from me an older man was being helped and the other works seemed to have a cold shoulder towards him as well. The bakery has always been really nicely well kept and I am tempted to buy a sweet treat everytime! Who I believe to be the bakery manager is usually the one to greet me as I enter her bakery side and holds a nice little conversation! Just a little bit over is the Donut case and all though it is not constantly manned by someone there was an older women who restocked them in the morning and she was a total sweet heart making sure my boyfriend and I got what we wanted in the mornings on our way to school. TL;DR Deli workers were rude and didn't seem to work with the customer past handing over product, store seems kind of dirty towards the produce section(May just be the floors). read more

Really rough qfc. The deli is limited in scope, often isn't fresh and lacks customer service. My wife and I wanted sandwiches made and after 20 minutes, we just left. Shocking how bad the service was. It was like they hate making money. The meat selection is also some of the worst I've seen. Safeway is a way better option, but isn't near by our house. They don't have bulk packs like safeway has and the prices are higher. If it wasn't for the convenient location, I'd shop elsewhere exclusively. read more

When they closed down the Des Moines QFC I turned to the Normandy Park QFC for my shopping needs. Sure, I could go to Safeway right around the corner from me, but I do not feel safe shopping there. The Normandy Park QFC is very safe. They have everything you need and if they don't have it they will do their best to find it for you. The deli is awesome and they are always willing to help. I like their sandwiches there! Bakery is abundant with sweet stuff. The produce department is well maintained and organized. The rest of the store is top notch. Everyone is kind and friendly. I love going to QFC but this neighborhood's store has many employees that are not friendly to people of color. Some employees are very nice, however. Whenever I go here there is always an employee that looks at me like I'm a thief. I like to do the self check out because I like to get in and out quickly when I'm in a hurry. The people assigned to watch self check out will stare at me and often times there are two of them while other customers are ignored. It bothers me sometimes but most of the time I ignore it. The deli people are very nice though and some of the new cashiers are very cool. I give this store 3 stars because of some of the employees that are prejudice. read more

Had to get lunch meat from the deli section. Three people working in the deli, no one acknowledged my presence for 5 min even though they saw me standing right there. They proceeded to help someone else came by after me. HOW RUDE!!! FINALLY one of the ladies asked if I'd decided what I wanted. I already knew what I wanted before I came.
