Not a great visit! I wanted three crispy tacos. No taco shells. Decided to have a salad in shell. No shell. Walked out. No dinner!

Only ever had one issue at this establishment; Forgot chips for our order once, that's all though they are great otherwise.

This restaurant is in a great location in Old Town to walk in or drive from local businesses. The…read morerestaurant has a casual vibe and it's a fun place, it can get noisy, but I caught it at the right time. Anyway, when you're craving good tacos, Diego Pops is the place! They have a selection of burritos, ceviche, flautas and salads, but tacos are a thing here. I decided on a shrimp taco and a green chili chicken taco. Lunch came with a six piece sauce pack, so you can customize the tacos to your liking. I'd been thinking of Mexican food and these tacos were good! I had a long drive back to the hotel, or would have indulged in one of those icy cold and delicious looking drinks, like the Diego Margarita or Fuego Fresa. The servers are friendly, prices are reasonable and this restaurant is popular with tourists and locals. The air conditioning is perfect for getting out of the heat and the food and ambiance make it even better! They also have patio dining for cooler nights. On my next visit, I'll return to Old Town, one of the best areas in Phoenix. It offers great restaurants like Diego Pops--it's on my "must come back and try a margarita" list.

I've been coming to Diego Pops for years, and I'm honestly surprised I've never written a review…read more It's such a fun spot right in the heart of Old Town close to the mall. It has a lively atmosphere that's great for meeting up with friends. Servers are always friendly and food comes out FAST! One of the best things about Diego Pops is their happy hour, which runs every day from 3-6 pm. I also just found out they do $3 tacos all day on Mondays... what a steal! The food is always delicious. My go-to order is the braised green chili chicken taco and the charred steak tacos. They also have frozen margaritas, and I'm already planning my next visit because I HAVEEE to try the blue raspberry flavor. Reliable place to meet up with friends, enjoy good food/drinks without breaking the bank!

A friend and I recently came here for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint!…read more After looking over the menu, we ordered the truffle quesadilla and the crispy calamari to start off with. The calamari was cooked to perfection, not too tough, with a nice crisp to it, with a subtle hint of spice. The quesadilla was fine, not sure if the flavors worked well together for my taste buds. For our main entrees, we ordered the seared scallops and the sea bass tacos which were highly recommended to us. The scallops were melt in your mouth tender and well-seasoned. The sea bass tacos were enjoyable, not fishy at all. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered a strawberry tres leches to share alongside the complimentary birthday dessert. The tres leches was enjoyable, not too sweet but not quite like a typical tres leches that is usually drenched. Overall, service was friendly and attentive, with the food arriving in a timely manner. At no point during our time here did we feel rushed or ignored. The atmosphere was quite lively, especially once the fire show started. This is a great spot to come more so for the younger crowd for a date night, a night out with some friends, or to celebrate an occasion.
