QDOBA MEXICAN EATS @ MISSION VALLEY Parking is available in several large parking lots that are shared with other restaurants, as well as with the Mission Valley Trolley Station, so finding a spot is fairly easy. To start, the location itself felt a bit sketchy, mainly because it's right next to public transportation. While my friend and I were outside this Qdoba, there were several people who appeared to be under the influence, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. The restaurant itself was pretty empty, and there wasn't much staff interaction or acknowledgment when we walked in. Because of that, it wasn't the best first impression. I had heard a lot about Qdoba before, and it reminded me of a Mexican grill similar to Chipotle. The setup is the same style where you walk in and order as you move down the line, choosing from items like tacos, quesadillas, and other Mexican-style food. I ended up ordering three soft tacos along with a side of their queso, which I know is one of their popular items, so I was excited to try it. Our food came out in about five minutes, and we sat at their high-top tables. The restaurant was clean, which I did appreciate. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't great for me. Within about 15 minutes, I started getting a stomach ache. The queso wasn't very hot, more warm than anything and I couldn't tell if it was freshly made or microwaved. The flavor was underwhelming and mostly just tasted salty. The tacos were decent but nothing memorable; they tasted like an average taco you could get anywhere. I also felt the quality and quantity of the meat could have been better. Overall, I don't think I would personally come back to this location or to Qdoba in general. Between the uncomfortable surroundings and the stomach ache afterward, it just wasn't a great experience. However, if you're nearby and looking for something quick and convenient, it could still be an option.

Adobo Chicken

Y'ALL LUNCH HIT THE SPOT!!! On my momma! I always order the chicken adobo burrito bowl. And it always does the job. The chicken thigh is so tender and so good. My mouth is watering right now. Fabulous foodie in the house. The service was fast and furious. The vibes were vibing. And if you sign up for an account you get free queso and chips. We're locked in guys! I have no complaints minus my hubby saying his bowl was too saucy. A spicy thing to say. Just FYI. Check them out ASAP NOW AHORA MAINTENANT

Staff friendly upon entering. I wanted a bowl which as seen are reasonably priced like Chipotle but is a total upgrade. I love that here you can get queso and guac without the extra up charge plus the bowls here hit different as they have a different variety of items. I love the mango salsa as well. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. QDOBA has a chill casual vibe. They can accommodate small to medium groups.

Nothing like a burrito after running around errands. I ordered on the app and had it for picked up. The service was great, didn't have to wait and walked directly to the pick up window. I wish there was more locations near me. The portions are good and they have many options for salsas and seasonal items. I was so hungry I had to have a couple of bites in the car before I went grocery shopping haha

I wish there was more QDOBA's in CA and we didn't have to wait to have it only when we're in San Diego. That's literally my only complaint. This place is fantastic. The food was incredible as always. The ingredients are so fresh and the portions are more than generous. I rave about this place to everyone and it's the first place I wanna go every time we are in San Diego. The area this is in is nice and the restaurant itself is clean and well kept.

Try the Diablo Queso! Pleasant burn. Brisket Birria burrito was pretty good. Next time I will have to try the chips with Diablo Queso

This place is so cool for celebrating special occasions…read more We celebrated our anniversary and they gave us a candle with our names on it!! So sweet The interior is so cool - very gothic medieval vibes inside!! We tried a couple of items but specifically LOVED the squash blossom and the crab donut and the duck memelita! The fried chicken tacos were pretty good as well Personally I did not love the fondue - comes with corn tortillas on the side - it's not my favorite style Drinks were great - I tried the guava Paloma and liked it a lot but wish it was a bit more sweet more guava flavor

Four of us dined at Quixote last night. I can see why it takes a few weeks to get a reservation…read more The place is truly magnificent. We ordered about six small plates, and they were all delicious and unique. Hard to pick a favorite. I'd say the shrimp tacos were absolutely incredible. Everything else was packed with flavor and very different than anything you will encounter at any other restaurant. It is special. My only complaint is that the place is so dark that you can barely read the menu. Also, being so dark, you can't get a good look at the food or even see color. And I would think that the food is beautifully presented. We are in our 60s. That might have something to do with our inability to see anything in that low light condition. We had to pull our phones out so that we could light up the menu and check out the food we were about to eat. It does make for a dramatic ambience. There are thousands of candles that add to the experience. But I gotta knock them a point because I couldn't see my food or read the menu without help.

Enjoyed the different flavors of ceviche and was a fan of the super crispiness of calamari. My fav was the ahi tuna tostada. The gentleman/waiter handed us the menu and went on his way. Chips and salsa along with waters for the table were brought and then that was when the service of our waiter went downhill. We ordered the ahi tuna and guacamole for our appetizers but the timing for the meal was so off. It was a long wait before the waiter even checked back on us and which is when I asked for a refill on my water and chips. We had order drinks as well. The smoked old fashion was good and the ahi tuna appetizer portion was plentiful. There were some parts of the diced ahi that was a bit chewy. The gaucamole portion was large and it wasn't until I asked another waiter did my refill of water and chips arrive. For entree, we got the scallops with corn cake, a salad and I had the poblano burger. I asked for the burger to be cooked to medium. When the entrees arrived my burger was overcooked with no pink in sight. The flavor of the burger was good but the burger was definitely dry as can be. The corn cake with scallop was interesting it was almost like the corn cake was a croquet that encased a corn salsa. Overall the food was okay but the service left a lot to be desired. The waiter and the end seemed to put up a fake act when the check came. Since we asked for the check it seemed like the waiter was on hyper speed. Overall the view is nice but the food and service did not meet the expectations.
