I generally like Qdoba food, this airport location service is terrible. Even giving the employees some grace since it's located in the airport food court, the employees we asked to confirm some food allergy info was dismissive and just said "we don't have allergy/ingredient info, go look online" This is an employee lack of training from corporate. However the employee needs to have a convo with their management about how to react to allergy requests. She might not care about potentially killing someone, but I'm sure Qdoba corporate doesn't want exposure to lawsuits of that nature. DO BETTER

The chicken and cheese quesadilla.

The food was insanely overpriced and they let my quesadilla stay on the press while they were serving another customer, even though it was done. The environment was all right I mean it's in the airport so not much to say there. The food itself was actually delicious and very filling. If you're willing to pay a whole $20 for a good size quesadilla then have at it. But would recommend somewhere else in the San Diego airport.

Food quality: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Value: 5/5 Not a lot of breakfast options available at the San Diego airport but this hit the spot. We came in for breakfast and were so glad we did! I had the egg and potato small burrito with ranch, corn, and cotija cheese. It was packed with flavor. My husband ordered the steak and egg burrito with pico, verde salsa, and corn and he loved it too. Both burritos were fresh, hearty and really hit the spot. They serve breakfast until 10:30am so it's the perfect spot to grab a tasty morning bite.

Had to wait 20 minutes for them to get rice and beans. They had no vegetable protein. No queso. Only lettuce and shredded cheese and pico to top off the bowl. Very sad. They have a song that they add 2% to your bill to recruit people. Food was like warm. Service poor.

We arrived at the airport at 4:59 a.m. Luckily Doc had cooked breakfast for us to brown bag at the airport. We didn't get on 2 HA flights this morning... the grim reality of flying standby as a former airline employee. Only 2 flights going out from SAN so...We ended up buying 2 sets of tickets for 2 more flights but this time on Alaska. Their flight to Maui left without us. We have one more chance to try to get out 9 hours from the first flight we tried for. So by 11:09 a.m. after we checked in again it seemed a good idea to have lunch. I ended up selected Mexican food: bowl of adobo chicken with rice and beans( for hubs), added the protein, lettuce, cilantro, etc. I split it in the cover for hubs and we each had a bottle of Coca Cola zero. Easier to handle than a fountain cup. Early enough to get a table not squished together like those by the windows. The meal had enough flavor and was enough to share. The other choices were a burrito, loaded quesadilla, and birria.

QDOBA Mexican Eats is the breakfast hero at San Diego International Airport Terminal 2. TIP With most terminal 2 airport breakfast options being about $20 it was refreshing to see Qdoba offer breakfast bowls for $10. AMBIANCE There's an expansive seated area with a chandelier and palm trees. FOOD 5/5 Potato, egg, chicken breakfast bowl: freshly made with all the fixings - this was tasty, filling, and on the healthier side. SERVICE Speedy, friendly, helpful. Patrons line up and order at the counter.

Qdoba is located in the Terminal 2 Food Court. I needed some kind of breakfast and decided on a quesadilla. The quesadilla was good. The salsa made it come alive. I enjoyed the food. They had two sizes: regular and small. Regular is a large size like what you would use for a burrito. Small is a normal sized tortilla. The price was what Mexicans would call,"precio de gringo." In other words, very expensive. For a regular quesadilla and a bottled orange juice, it was over $20. The guy that waited on me was not friendly, welcoming, or engaging. To his credit, he did get my order right, but that was it. He acted like he did not want to be there and would rather not be waiting on anyone. While I enjoyed the food, there are other options and I will be checking those out next time I fly through San Diego.

This $14 burrito was the least expensive fast food meal at the airport. Odd that a server told me I couldn't take pictures of the food as it was being made for me, which did not make sense. 1) This is a public place. 2) No signs said I couldn't take photos. Good: Large burrito. No extra charge for guacamole or any other filling. Bad: Very little chicken. Not that much flavor. I have never eaten at QDoba before so I have no idea if airport food is the same as "normal" food.

San Diego airport has to be one of the worst airports for plant bases options. I was hopeful that QDOBA located in terminal 2 would offer a llanto based option. After walking from T1 and then through TSA security plus a myriad of other stores and restaurants, I finally found QDOBA. Apparently made there in time prior to them closing. Most QDOBA locations offer a plant based mear substitute but not this location. I understand that airport version of restaurants have scaled down menus to speed up operations but not have a plant based option besides grilled vegetables is an indictment not only for QDOBA but every single restaurant in San Diego International Airport. I was able to order a bowl with rice, beans, grilled vegetables, salsa and guacamole for 14 USD. By the way it's the same price if I was to have ordered meat. Does that make any sense considering meat is more expensive than veggies. I thankful for my bowl but there's a obvious opportunity for QDOBA and other restaurants in San Diego International Airport to have at a minimum one or two vegan options per location. To be clear there means no cheese, no butter, no dairy, and no other animal products.

I have been taking out breakfast from here for as long as I've been traveling out of SAN Airport for about 10 years and I have to say it is pretty decent "Mexican Style" food for an airport food court. It only takes me 5 minutes to order my breakfast and it's always worth the pit stop prior to boarding my flight back home. Their staff is friendly, quick, and professional. Good service, price is right, And they have all the fix-ins you want!

Hidden fees and overcharged

Employee lack motivation and consistency. Was struggling to fly out of San Diego for 2 days and since I had an early flight I went there for breakfast and ordered the same exact thing both days. I ordered the small steak breakfast burrito which they advertise for $5.48 the first day I was charged that plus tax which was slightly under $6.00. The next day I was charged $7.00. They will overcharge you so be careful when you order. Then she added the 13cents change as "employee benefit" charge! Be ready to wait in line for 30 minutes for your food! Workers are so slow and rude! They run out of items and then laugh and say "we're out"

Chicken burrito with peppers and onions, $3.50 extra for the peppers and onions and they didn't even warn me!

We attempted to make reservations but had trouble with OpenTable, so we opted to just go and tempt fate. The hostess suggested sitting at the bar because it would be a few hours wait if we made a reservation. Our group sat at the bar and the bartending staff was friendly and helpful in not only making recommendations for our food but for where we could go out after. Because the venue was very busy, I anticipated the food to take a while, but it came out incredibly fast which was much appreciated after a full day of sightseeing. I ordered the masa fried chicken tacos and a drink and it did not disappoint. Can't wait to return to this gem of a place the next time I'm in San Diego.

But factor in the service, and you'd be sitting at 3 stars overall, max. The service sucks. The hostess sucked. She played double duty as our waitress and she genuinely acted like she was mad to be there. We all have bad days. But the runners who took the dirty dishes weren't much better. The bartender was the exception, but our interactions were limited. It was a party of 11 right when they opened. No one else in the restaurant. Food took longer than expected. My cheese and chorizo fondue was delicious, and by all accounts the ribs were absolutely amazing. The other stuff was... fine. My octopus was overcooked, and people who got the tacos universally didn't care for them. The restaurant is attached to a hotel that is cool as hell. The pool, the ambience, the bowling alley--all seemed top notch. While I'll def be back for the hotel, I'd skip eating here. Think I'd prob order the ribs to-go, though.

This is my first time dining inside this California Burrito Restaurant…read more I was driving around in this area and I saw this California Burrito Restaurant and I wanted to give this place a try. I enjoy eating authentic Mexican cuisine. I parked my car in their parking lot then I walked inside their front door. I talked to the owner Caesar and asked him How long has he been in business at this Starling Drive location in San Diego, CA? Caesar said he's been operating his California Burrito Restaurant business for 20 years now. Caesar also said to me that he works with his wife and grown children at his Mexican restaurant every day. My order was placed by Caesar today for my lunch time meal at 12:30 PM. I ordered one Beans and Cheese Burrito. The price is $7.50. Then I had to pay a tip of 20 percent that came up to $1.25. The tax was $1.50. My total purchase today was $9.25. I had to wait at least 30 minutes later until my order number 109 was called to the front counter today. There was non stop walk in customers coming into this California Burrito Restaurant at the lunch hour between 12:30 AM to 2:30 PM today. Their majority of their customers were of Mexican descent and I saw only 3 Black People placing their orders with Caesar today. I was the only Asian person ordering from this California Burrito Restaurant this afternoon. I also noticed 2 Nurses picking up their orders today who work for Sharp Memorial Hospital today. This man and woman nurse were of Caucasian descent. It's interesting for me to get to know the population of people who are living nearby this Starling Drive location. Caesar called my order number 109 today. Then I was served a really HUGE Beans and Cheese Burrito. I also drank cold ice water today. It was a beautiful day today because the weather conditions were very cool and cloudy. I sat down at this window seat so I could see the outside. The Beans and Cheese Burrito was very tasty the beans were refried and thete was a very generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese. The Tortilla was heated up and slightly toasted. This Beans and Cheese Burrito was a HUGE Size. I wasn't sure that I had an appetite to finish eating this Beans and Cheese Burrito but the flavor was amazing! I kept taking small bites on this Beans and Cheese Burrito for my lunch time meal this afternoon. I also received excellent customer service from Caesar and the rest of his family I saw was working very hard in the back kitchen area preparing and making their very popular Carne Asada Burritos. I also saw Caesar and an older lady sweeping up the floor and also mopping up the floor inside their front entrance to their California Burrito Restaurant Caesar told me to come in again soon to try their Steak Carne Asada Burrito.
