I want to leave a complaint about the customer service I received today. I asked the employee about plain rice, and his response was very disrespectful. He told me that if I asked again, he would call the police and ban me from the store. I was simply asking a normal question as a customer, and I felt uncomfortable and disrespected by the way he spoke to me. No flavor whatsoever. I can't even taste salt. The corn was supposed to be spicy but it looks like canned sweet corn. Rude staff - they yelled at my boyfriend for pointing at the corn behind the glass saying that he should "stay behind the glass"??? The cheese is the bagged cheese you get from Walmart. Super grainy and dry bc of the cornstarch. Beans are soggy... rice is flavorless... Never coming again. read more

Former Rutgers student here, this place is only here for the student convience. The food was so small, its portion is more for a teenager. Meat AND rice was only half a scoop, you can finish the meal in 4 bites. And taste, it not seasoned whatsoever. People outside of Rutgers University, do not come to the Qdoba at Rutgers. I've come here several times and it's a 50/50 shot of getting good, clean service. There's a lady in there who seems to be a manager who is extremely rude to both her customers and employees. I watched her belittle someone who was clearly training. She also dropped the scoop for the chips on the floor and simply rinsed it with water for a second. Today I came in and asked for chips from the guy at the register. He opened the bag putting his whole arm in the bag, no gloves but a blue bandaid on after possibly dealing with cash. That's disgusting. The chips went straight into the trash. I will say there are two gentlemen who are delightful and always seem to be working hard while maintaining a friendly demeanor. I eat here only when I cannot make it to Chipotle. Whole I like it more than Moe's it just doesn't hit the spot like other places. The fajita veggies always taste raw and seem to lack flavor. Parking is also a pain here, so I only come by when I'm already at Livingston and the lines are too long at the other places I like. If you have other options, definitely take it. The only saving grace is the workers here are always super nice. read more

I love that they have wheat wrap and brown rice options. My chicken burrito was like a mini football, and I loved it. I wish that there was enough tin foil to cover it all though. The line was pretty decent for 4:45 PM, but they did their best to get us through; the quesadillas seem to cause a hold up on the line. Bad service! I walk in and one of the workers I'm not sure her name (she had purple and blue hair and glasses) was making loud rude remarks about how she wants to go home and how tired she was. Another employee started my order and once more people came in she abruptly took over, taking her sweet time. Slamming things around and gossiping, asking if I was ready to ring up yet (clearly not I was reading my order to the girl serving me). Not to mention she kept wiping her runny nose with the back of her hand and eating chips. I almost wanted to walk out. Not to mention it was a mess everywhere! The other employees seemed checked out (a guy with dreads randomly walked from the back and reluctantly rang me up) and uninterested in getting customers in and out. It was only me and they took about 15 minutes to complete my order. You could tell the people behind me were just as annoyed. I asked for an additional item which I never was able to get because I felt rushed due to the attitude of the girl with the colored hair and just opted for something easier instead so I can leave! To sum it up, the food is average is best. You ask what you want in the food (meat, veggies, etc.). You can get a burrito, quesadilla, three cheese nachos, tacos, or a taco bowl. The service is beyond terrible. I had to wait 30 minutes for my turn to come up and I was the 4th person in line. I got really mad at the service that I only ordered chips with guacamole. The chips were very salty. Emphasis on salty. Salty was all I tasted. Even when I dipped it in the guacamole, it still tasted salty. Suffice to say, I won't be coming here again. read more

While ordering a Bowl with chicken and adding toppings, I pointed at my selection of toppings through the top class while not breaching the class (never placing the food at risk of contamination), however employee server, Giselle, raised her voice aggressively and disrespectfully while demanding that I do not place my hand over the food although I hadn't. I responded apologetically while informing her that there wasn't a need to be aggressive towards me. She remained combative and dismissive until the Supervisor on duty asked her to apologize. It should be noted that my pointing at food through the glass offers no risk of food contamination while her serving the food without a mask and without wearing gloves places the food at a great risk of contamination. Perhaps a visit from the Health Department is mandated at this facility as well as a retraining on food safety and customer service for the employees. Dr. M. read more

Typical qdoba place and it always has students in it. The reason I like it is because as a student you don't get charged tax! This place is an average qdoba. The good thing is there they have a lot of options! And quite a few queso sauces! However I've found it a bit salty. Everyone else seems to like it though. Qdoba is a 1/2 a taco above other fast food Mexican places. No free chips but you do get Guacamole for free.

I went there on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. They now accept RU express (the debit card for Rutgers students). I ordered the rice bowl, which tasted fresh. The employees were polite. I wish that Qdoba took meal swipes tho. read more

We stopped by on a Saturday night at prime dinner hour and were surprised that Qdoba and the other little eateries on Livingston were not busier especially since there had been a Rutgers game earlier in the day. In any event, we felt like we stumbled upon a little secret. Other restaurants in Piscataway would have been super busy at this time on a Saturday, including Chipotle which always seems to have long lines. Qdoba was very good and fairly quick. It may seem a little pricey especially if you add in a side order of guacamole, but to be fair the portions are large and filling. The food seems to be of good quality and the staff is helpful. I actually liked it better than the last time we visited that "other" burrito making joint. We will most likely be back again when looking for fresh Mex take out of this type. read more

Nice, place to get a quick lunch which is fresh and tastes good as well. I've been here quite often and have not been disappointed yet. I usually get the rice bowl with lots of add ons which totals up to about 8-9 dollars. I don't mind spend an extra dollar or two if the food tastes fresh and hot and is definitely better than getting the nasty rice bowl from DCC cafe which will cost you less but will most likely make you feel nauseous and disgusted. read more

Qdoba is a little more expensive than your ordinary Mexican grill. But everything they offer is worth so much more! With this Qdoba Rutgers students become tax exempt by showing Rutgers ID Free Guacamole! (take that Chipotle) They have a rewards program every 10 entrees, 11th one free + free chips and salsa or regular drink just for signing up + kids meals count towards meals) QUESO!!! They have a large assortment of queso, which really makes any entree special, and is what helps Qdoba beat out a lot of other food establishments And Guac isn't the only thing that's included. Everything is included. The only thing that isn't included is double meat (of course) so you can ask for more of anything. Double meat is two dollars I think Qdoba is far more superior than your average food establishment. I go there all the time! read more
