I like a very deep massage, and this does the trick. It also typically includes a thorough conventional massage of the back and legs and a hot stone treatment that is very relaxing. I think this place is a terrific bargain, and the employees are always pleasant to me. Some of the negatives mentioned by reviewers are true, but you have to look at the place in context. If you need a specialized massage, this is not the place for you, as the therapists all seem to be trained in the same sequence and method of massage. Some therapists are better than others, but they are generally pretty consistent. Communication can be an issue, because many of the employees speak little English. They don't like card payments, and will push you to pay cash. "Appointments" are sketchy, as they don't even ask for your name when you call. So, if you want a $150 spa massage from a school-trained massage therapist, you're going to have to go somewhere else (and pay $150). But for crying out loud, where else can you get a decent, one-hour full body massage in a clean place from a polite therapist for $60 including tip? As far as I know, this is the only place in Albuquerque.

It's not a problem as there's a laminated card counter that you order from. I asked for a 30-minute massage at a cost of $35.00 covering two areas. The female massage therapist was awesome! Very deep tissue massage. Even a bit painful, but it hurts so good. She followed a pattern on my neck, back, arms, and scalp. Very thorough. I believe they have privacy booths in the back for those who want a full body massage. Please check with the front desk counter when you arrive for clarification. The atmosphere was very calming. The lights are dimmed to provide a soothing atmosphere along with very quiet light music playing. My massage took place right behind the counter area in a massage chair. I was expecting a booth but considering it's just a neck and shoulder and back massage, it didn't really bother me to be upfront or others could see as they walk the mall. I will be going back possibly once a month as I enjoyed it and felt it was definitely worth the price. In fact, I left a hefty tip as I felt the massage therapist did a wonderful job.

At the end, she made an inappropriate comment about me being "a very strong man" in front of my girlfriend and her husband, which was completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, after my girlfriend left a tip, they told her she should leave a larger one. It was very uncomfortable and disrespectful. We stood there awkwardly while they spoke in another language and ignored us until we asked if we could leave. My girlfriend worked hard to surprise me for my birthday, and it's disappointing that this special occasion turned into such an unpleasant experience. I arrived for my 9:00 a.m. appointment and was greeted by the hostess, who spoke very little English. She showed me to my room and instructed me to lie face down. A few minutes later, my massage therapist came in. Before she began, I explained that I was experiencing a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and asked if she could focus on those areas. She replied, "Yeah." Unfortunately, the massage was not what I expected. It became clear to me that she did not seem to have the techniques I would expect from a licensed massage therapist. Much of the session felt like repetitive rubbing rather than purposeful therapeutic body work. Throughout the 105 minutes, she repeatedly left the room, which made it difficult to relax or enjoy the experience. The facility itself was clean, and she was pleasant and kind. However, I left feeling exactly the same as when I arrived, which was the most disappointing part after investing both the time and money in a two-hour massage. As I was leaving, she told me, "You already paid for your massage. You just have to tip me." I was caught off guard and asked, "Excuse me?" She used a translation app on her phone and repeated the same statement. I felt very uncomfortable and, although I tipped anyway, I left feeling pressured rather than appreciated. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience or need therapeutic body work to address muscle tension, this may not be the right place for you. While the facility was clean and the staff were friendly, the quality of the massage and the uncomfortable interaction at the end left me highly disappointed.
