The massage was good. The communication could use some work. I had bought my wife a gift certificate for a couples massage a while back. When I bought it, I noticed a sign that said they don't charge tax if you pay cash. I don't normally carry cash, so I put it on my card and paid a little more. I called last week and scheduled the massage for yesterday. When we arrived, they had scheduled another massage during our time and were one masseuse short. She said she had texted me to confirm the appointment and I never texted back. When she showed us the text, she had sent it to a wrong number. We sorted it out and agreed to come back in 30 minutes. Minor inconvenience, but not a big deal. When they started the massage, they asked if we wanted a regular massage or deep tissue. We both said regular was fine. Then they asked if we wanted essential oils or the regular oil. We said regular is fine. I thought we had that all settled, but apparently we had a miscommunication somewhere. My masseuse asked if the massage was ok or if I wanted it harder. I told her harder. She went really hard and I said something in the middle would be better. After that, she gave a very good massage. When it was time to pay, I gave her the certificate and I had brought $40 in cash to tip. She told me it was an extra $20 for deep tissue, which I thought we had declined. That put me in an awkward position of only having the cash I'd brought to tip. In hindsight, I could have put the tip on my card, but I was a little flustered and said the $40 included the tip. I could see they were disappointed, but by that point, I didn't know how to explain the situation. So I ended up looking like a cheapskate when that wasn't my intention. I wish they had been more clear about what counted as a regular massage and deep tissue so that we could have either stuck with regular or I could have been prepared for the price difference. Pleasantly surprised to find a "chinese massage" to not look like the typical chinatown foot reflexology rooms...This place actually looks like a spa with cleanliness and nice decorations. $45 for 60 minutes body massage to be put almost to tears and then the next day unable to tolerate the hydromassage beds at Planet Fitness? I have come to this place twice. The first time, I got the full body massage, and the second time I got the $20 foot massage. Both experiences have been incredibly relaxing. You leave this place feeling entirely relaxed and rejuvenated. I'll be honest, the first full body massage was super relaxing, but my only complaint was they only cover you with a bath towel and not a full sheet or blanket. I mean you only pay $45 for the full body massage, but I really would prefer to be covered by a larger piece of material for more privacy. The foot massage on the other hand is an absolute 10-star rating. The atmosphere is so peaceful. Upon entry into the little room they have you store your items in a plastic bin, and you lay down on this little massage table. First, they soak your feet in a little tub and as a great bonus they line it with a plastic bag (thank you for not making me put my feet in a tub with someone else's germs)! You get a super relaxing massage. They rub your head, shoulders, arms, hands, feet, and legs.... It's pretty much amazing. This will be the best $20 you have ever spent! So sometimes you need a day at the spa, with relaxing music and aromatherapy. Fluffy robes, and slippers, and cucumber water. This is not that place. If you are sore and tired and are ok without all of the amenities, this is your place. It is absolutely a Chinese massage parlor (no, not like that.) But more in the way that a small Asian lady will work your muscles over in ways you've never experienced. Ouch! But, like, ouch in the way you need. Hint of the day: do not have anywhere to go after. There is copious amounts of massage oil used and I had it in my hair the next day. But you don't leave like that, promise. After they are done, they wrap you in hot, moist towels. It was a pleasant surprise and helped with my circulation I'm sure. I left in a weird haze afterward and was sore the next two days, but man, those knots were gone. Oh - there is no handicapped access - it's on the second floor (above FedEx) and stairs are the only way in and out. read more

The massage is okay and the advertised price is good, but I am sick of being harrassed by their staff for an exorbitant tip everytime I go. They have a very tacky sign with different faces ranging from angry to happy. The frown face is next to 20% tip lmao. Get real. I could get a $45 massage and then tip them $10 as a courtesy but then they start getting aggressive and angry and say, "You didn't like your massage?!?" while pointing to their stupid tip sign. Someone needs to sit them down and explain how tipping works. If they want more money then they need to build it into the price for crying out loud. This tactic of demanding super high tips is turning people off and costing them regular business. I won't be back until they fix this issue. read more

OMG!!! Wish I could give zero stars. I thought we were going to be taken and sold as slaves. Went in with a friend for a foot massage and sooo glad we didn't get more where we would have to take any item of clothing off. The women were super snotty while we were trying to ask questions, they laid us down and put a cloth over our eyes, then started snapping pictures (flash was on- at least 6 pics were taken in a 30 minute period. I had a girl at first who kept rubbing one of my leg like she was putting lotion in it and playing with her phone. They switched out people on me for my back and she was a little better, but then when we paid one of the ladies told my friend Anna (who is also writing a post) that she didn't give her enough tip and she needed more money!!! This was the worst and creepiest massage I have ever had. I could have given myself a better massage, Foot reflexology was a total joke. I went with my friend, and one of the girls kept taking pictures of us with her phone using the flash which she thought we couldn't see because we had towels over our eyes. I gave a seven dollar tip for a $30 an hour foot massage and they had the audacity to shame me into gIving more. You really can't beat an hour long foot massage (really foot and bodywork massage) for $20. Insane price. Not the best massage I've ever had but for $20 I would go again. Hubby and I had a spontaneous day date and decided to get a massage. We were able to get same day appointments. I was appreciative that they had a dual table room. Unlike other spas we have been to, they didn't ask any questions beforehand regarding pressure preferences or concerns which I found a bit odd but the massage went well. It was definitely a medium pressure massage, if you prefer light pressure make sure to ask ahead of time. The hot rocks were great. My only recommendation would be scented oil options. Overall we were pleased given the same day appointment and affordability. Luckily we had cash so we avoided the additional charge for credit card payments. Very good massage! If you've never had a Chinese massage, they are pretty intense compared to a regular Swedish. If you like a deep massage, this is a great place to go. I've been here a couple of times and had a good experience. Like another review said, they answer the phone during the massage and that is distracting...the sign for tips up front is a bit tacky and they charge extra for using a card. While there are some downfalls, the price can't be beat and they are almost always available on short notice. Overall, I would recommend this place to those looking for an intense massage. read more

What a perfect local spot for walk in massages. I came in around 930am on a Monday for a 90 minute full body massage for $65. I was greeted and taken into a private room immediately. Lisa did an amazing job at loosening all the knots on my back (and there was ALOT) and listened to my requests for areas to focus on. It was a little cold in the room and they use a body towel to cover up but a sheet would have been nice. Lisa offered to get me another towel without me even asking because she could feel that I was a little chilly. I really appreciated the attentiveness, and how affordable this place was. This used to be my go to place. Obviously under new management and service was very very poor. I was Asked to pay cash only and my massage was $10 more than usual. On top of that she frowned at my tip that I gave and pointed to a sign which said what tips were expected. Sorry but a tip is given based off of service, not off of a demand . I will not return . I absolutely love this place! Now please keep in mind that Chinese foot massage is a very intense experience for some people. I hate massages where it feels like I paid someone to rub moisturizer on my skin, I just feel ripped off when that happens. Chinese foot massage is basically a deep tissue massage mixed with some reflexology at a crazy cheap price of $20. It lasts and hour and starts off with you laying face up fully clothed on a short massage bed with your feet in a bucket with hot water. The masseur then massages your scalp and hits some acupressure points on your face and scalp. Next they massage your arms and hands. They then spend what feels like 30 minutes on your feet, which is just heaven. The workers are professional, they don't talk to each other while you are getting your service. The place is new, well decorated, and super clean. At the end we normally tip $5 for our $20 foot massage. It is not expected and the workers don't make you feel obligated to give tip, which only makes you want to give them a tip. We will keep coming back. read more

This business needs a receptionist. Every time I come to get a massage here they always leave the room to answer phones or try to help incoming customers!
