My 74-year-old father went to Q Nails today on Connecticut Avenue to have his toenails cut and to get a regular pedicure done . As usual he was handed the spa pedicure list . He said to the lady several times he wanted the cheapest one and was told the $60 one was the cheapest . That is not the price of a regular pedicure and most people who get pedicures know this . You should be ashamed of yourself for taking advantage of an older man . I will never visit your salon and will tell everyone I know that you rip people off. Just disgusting ! read more

Walked in and asked for a gel pedicure. Picked out a color that was on display on the color wheels they have. After prepping my toes she brings over w color that she swears is the same one I picked out. We went back and forth for like 10 minutes of me repeatedly telling her it wasn't the right color and her insisting it was. (It was not). She was super aggressive and rough and even made me bleed when picking out the dead cuticles. She didn't do a good paint job either , leaving spots on the side of the nail unpainted . Then she offered me services like callus remover and what not without mentioning the fact that there was an extra charge . Ended up paying almost $60 for a very basic , not very Good gel pedicure . Worst experience ever. I came in with 2 friends for 3:30 appointments (we called 4 hours in advance) and 1. I was never helped whatsoever (it's 4:53 currently). 2. My friend who was helped for only 10 minutes had her hands left in acetone for over an hour and she had to remove them herself and file them down herself. Her nails are now wrecked. read more

I went to them Friday I wanted the woman who previously did my nails to do them again and they gave me an attitude saying she didn't do nails when In fact I know she does. So I HAD to go to some lady who was rude she ended up cutting two of my nail deep to where they were bleeding and she couldn't even shape the nails into coffin shape she kept rounding out the nails they are uneven I even paid extra for the gems which need to placed down with acrylic like last time. Instead she put a small drop of cheap nail glue and it already came off and a nail broke from opening a simple cereal box the acrylic was strong she put a small amount on the nail. And I got my toes done which I got gel because it always last longer she put something different on them and now they are peeling. This was an awful experience I walked in and said hello no one answered me, I walked out because that's awful customer service and the owner chased me out to get me to come back in which was my worst decision, they were talking junk about me in Chinese and then the owner went to do my nails did an awful job filling them and made me bleed multiple times I am so upset with my nails I almost didnt pay my little sister could of done a better job, do not go there, another customer had called and they said come in for 6:30, they didn't start her nails till 7 and everyone seemed to be having an awful experience. If you asked me about q-nails two yesterday, I would have told you only go for the eyebrows because they have a lady who does a great job, and don't come on Mondays because she's not there. After just going there today, I would suggest to you to find another place. I walked in and was happy to see the woman who usually does eyebrows. They wanted someone else to do it, but I requested her. She got up in a huff and said something in her native language. Trying to be polite, I apologized, then complimented her work. Long story short, she destroyed my eyebrows and said they were already like that. Never coming back. read more

They suck! After they get too use to you, they start doing a crappy job. I just got a pedicure 5 mins ago and it was done by the owner. It took her about 15 mins to do it and she rushed it so she can take other customers. My pedicure looks like crap but instead of confronting her I just kept my tip and won't be coming here anymore. She can tell by my face that I'm unhappy and didn't even ask why. I will never return here for any reason at all. I usually go to New York so this was quite honestly my last resort. read more

I went here for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and was very disappointed. During the pedicure the tech cut the cuticle on my big toe and it has taken two weeks to heal. The French gel manicure was pretty much a disaster -- I had to has the tech repeatedly to shape them the way I wanted them, the lines are not straight despite the fact that she kept wiping it off and trying again and there were a couple bubbles in the polish I noticed when I got home. I agree with the other reviewers -- place was not very clean, staff disinterested and rude (eating and talking on cell phone -- on speakerphone! during the pedicure). Generally a bad experience. worst manicure!!! i went in there to try this place out and was not impressed. the place smells heavily of chemicals, the nail polish selection is not very good and the polishes are all dried out and old. the place is also not very clean. the guy who did my manicure did such a terrible job- there was a fleck of dust on the first coat of polish he did- i had to point out the flaw to him. instead of re-doing that nail he took a cuticle trimmer to try and pull it off.... he smudged the paint, but painted the second coat right over. he kept getting paint all over my fingers, and wiping it off with his creepy long finger nails (also smudging my nails at the same time) needless to say- no shoulder rub while you dry either! my nails started chipping the very next day. go elsewhere! read more

Worse manicure ever! While clipping my cuticles the tech cut me on two fingers, one of which took a week to stop hurting! I jumped when she cut me and her response was oops! Still charged me full price even though I complained and she expected a tip too!!! Conditions very poor, very dirty place and nothing like the cleanliness and pampering that you can get in nearby salons for the same amount of money! Pedicure chairs so old they are falling apart. I went to this salon for many years. The prices are fair that's why I guess I never went to another, better place. There is one lady who does GREAT eyebrows, but that is the only good thing about this place. I brought my mom there for a pedicure and when they tried to remove her callus they cut very deeply into her skin. It was hurting her for a month! The girl tried to pretend it was nothing, but it was bleeding a lot. In addition, some of the staff is very rude. One lady tried to say that is my fault that her nailpolish for the gelmanicure made weird bubbles. I told her that I wanted to like my manicure if I was paying 30 dollars. She got extremely rude blaming me that I didn't like it and was causing a scene in the salon. I will definetely never go back there, what a shame that they are treating valued customers that have been there for many years like that. I Don't go there, you will be disappointed eventually. I will now rather spend a little more money but get the quality I want. Plus now I get massages when I am drying my nails (because they never give massages). read more
