I'm not one to go out of my way to write a bad review, but I found my experience with this auto…read moreshop to be particularly bad and want to make people aware of what they will potentially be dealing with. I was having problems with my battery, so I took my car here. They told me I needed a new battery. First of all, the price they wanted to charge me for the battery was significantly higher than anything I could find online, so I asked them to find a cheaper one. They did so, and I chalked that up to not being a car guy and the fact that after all, the shop does need to make money, which I understand. My understanding is that it's pretty standard for the diagnosis fee to be applied to repairs across many auto shops, and this shop advertises that right on their wall. It was one of the reasons I chose to give them my business. So when I saw the diagnostic fee not applied whatsoever to my final bill (400+ for them to change a battery), I asked them why. I got "oh I can do a $70 discount", as if they were doing me a favor. I told them that they advertise applying the diagnosis fee towards the total bill, to which they said "that is not true", and I told them it's right on their wall, which apparently the guy on the phone wasn't aware of. I ended up getting to talk to the "manager", who was pretty argumentative with me, and also tried to deny the existence of the advertisement. When I told him that I saw it with my own two eyes, he then tried to debate me on the definition of "advertising". He then said that the policy of applying the diagnostic fee towards the bill only applies for bills over either 1k or 10k (can't remember which it was). Whatever, I just wanted to be done with them at this point, so I took the $70 discount and moved on with my life. Or so I thought. I recently went to get in my car after letting it sit for a few days only for it to not start up (the original problem I took my car into this shop for). It was dead dead, couldn't even be jumped. I eventually called triple A, and they got it to start with their power jumper. I got a battery test done, and although the battery was fine, there is apparently an issue with the charging system. It sucks, but because of my original experience with this shop, I can't help but wonder if this was the issue from the start.. but obviously, I can't say so for sure, so take it with a grain of salt. I will say, the mechanics and desk workers themselves were quite friendly, but the manager was more interested in debating me than honoring what's on his own wall. Not a great experience overall.

I found this repair shop on Google and after reading the reviews I thought they would be reputable…read more/ reliable. Normally, I wouldn't write a review, but they sent a link asking for a review, so here it is. I was traveling to Northern Virginia over Christmas and my SUV had an alternator issue. I knew what the issue was, I just needed a shop that could fix it on December 23rd as I was traveling out to Western Virginia on the 24th. I had lived in NOVA for 18 years and my regular repair shop wasn't open, and getting a vehicle into the dealership for a repair on the 23rd wasn't going to happen. Needless to say, this repair shop saw that I was visiting from out of state, needed my car repaired quickly, and took advantage of it. They had originally quoted me $700, which is quite excessive for a simple alternator replacement. Then, the technician said his "manager" had to speak with me. His "manager" explained that they quoted me for the wrong car (even though my car was sitting in their garage when they gave me the initial quote) and that it was more complicated to install, so it would be an additional $200.00, bringing the total up to $900.00. I didn't really have a choice since it was the 23rd and I needed my car the next day. The invoice lists the alternator at $446.90 and the labor at $425.00. With tax, the total was $898.71. This should have been a maximum of a $600.00 repair, not a $900.00 repair. But, because they saw that I was from out of state, they significantly overcharged me. Their service team was friendly and professional, however I feel that their business tactics are suspect, at best. They could have made a fair profit on this business transaction, without taking advantage of the situation. Be forewarned when you go to this business. I'm moving back to NOVA and can say with 100% certainty that I would never use this business again.

He walked out with me and got them installed in 5 minutes. He even grabbed the trash to throw it away and didn't charge me. Super standup guy. I walked away embarrassed that I was unable to complete the task, but he was awesome and I'll be sure and return when I need other services.

While I have noticed a lack of attention to detail here and there - like forgetting to recalibrate my tire pressure indicator after a tire rotation (a quick fix I figured out how to do on my own) - it was always small things I could overlook. HOWEVER, my most recent experience means they lost a loyal customer. I went in to have them look at my rear brake light that was out. I did my due diligence and knew it could be a brake switch issue, electrical issue, or just that the whole tail light assembly needed to be replaced (it's LED and gone are the days you can buy a cheap bulb and call it good). They assessed the issue quickly and sent me the quote, confirming the whole assembly needed to be replaced....for over $800!?! I looked closer and they were quoting me $544 for just the rear light assembly that I knew was $125-$180 if I just bought it myself. When I asked about this massive mark up they said it was the cheapest one they found as they had called the manufacturer directly and been quoted an even higher price. This is what the $64 sourcing fee they charge is for?! While I respect that businesses need to mark up a part for the sake of profit, this was beyond outrageous. As a woman, I am well aware of the potential to be taken advantage of in these situations and they definitely tried. I picked up my car and will never return to this shop for any service as I do not feel they can be trusted. I was able to source the part for $130 and, with a little help from YouTube and a screw driver, successfully replaced it myself within 30 minutes. My advice would be to find another place for your vehicle maintenance needs or take a few minutes and do your homework before signing anything they quote you. It could save you hundreds of dollars!

There was…read morenowhere to park--Teslas were scattered everywhere, like shopping carts in a grocery store parking lot. There's no front desk, so you're essentially wandering around until someone notices you. Once we were finally helped, however, the experience improved significantly. Mukesh was fantastic--friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. He walked us through the entire Tesla buying process and made sure we were taken care of. Unfortunately, the pickup experience the following day is where things really went downhill. We arrived on time for our 5:30 PM appointment. Mukesh checked us in and told us to wait for an advisor. By 6:00 PM, we were still sitting in the lounge. Around 6:15, someone gave us paperwork to fill out and then disappeared. At approximately 6:45 PM, another advisor came over and asked what we were waiting for. After explaining we were there for pickup, she took us to an elevator--over an hour after our scheduled appointment. It shouldn't take 1.25 hours just to get to that point. We were taken to the third floor, where the first advisor, Mukesh, and another customer were already waiting. At this point, it was nearly 7:00 PM--closing time--and we were just starting the vehicle walkthrough. To add to the frustration, our car didn't have the delivery bow that other vehicles did. While not a dealbreaker, it added to the feeling of being overlooked. The vehicle itself was not thoroughly cleaned. The back seat and part of a door were dirty, and there was a small scratch that had to be buffed out on the spot. Due to poor lighting, we missed a scratch on the windshield, which we noticed the following morning and had to file a service claim for. Overall, customer service here is lacking, especially for first-time Tesla buyers. While this doesn't take away from how great the vehicle is--and Mukesh truly was excellent--the experience itself was not welcoming or well-organized. Based on this experience, I would not return to this location.

And he told me his exact words "Lower and upper control arms with ball joints (driver side and passenger side) I know I said ball joints only but just get the control arms for that side too" so I ended up getting all that. Then the guy they had come out to fix it Norman Parker put everything on. And told me it was safe to drive now. But he ended up cutting my sway bar links underneath and didn't say anything about it. Then put zip ties on where my Carter pins were suppose to be. So I Told Nigel about it over the phone and he said he'll come look at it and he said if he cut my sway bar links then he'll do a full refund. He looked and said yea he did cut your sway bar links but we had to do that in order to do the job. So went back on his word and did not give me a refund. Nigel is a very grimy, unprofessional mechanic. I would not go to this business at all. And plus I had to keep calling because it's been days where he said he'll come but never did.

And left eh car disassembled, relocated it. Asked personal info, and knew I was going back and forth from NC to MD, but sent a letter of intent to sell to my old address. Nigel, the owner ignored several calls and emails regarding options to cut costs and spend less than $10k. But he assured me I could leave the car on the lot and avoid fees, as long as I worked with him. Though most previous commutation was done on the phone or email, he has no evidence that he made any attempt to call or email, but claims he sent a verified mail to the old address on file, just so he could legally claim and sell the vehicle after a given time. The crook figured if I wasn't going to spend $10k, he could gain my trust to leave the car until then, I found out he sold the car after a friend wrote an email requesting an invoice and itemized bill, for a court case. I was then for the first time informed via email, that the vehicle was sold or auctioned. This a shady, untrustworthy and crooked mechanic, who overcharged, false advertises and has been unprofessional in posting screenshots of emails he simply didn't understand and claims I asked him to lie for court. It's on his company's FB page for all to see.
