A very pleasant girl took our order for tea and some eats. Unfortunately with us driving we had to leave the Guinness but it looked nice! The inside of the pub is oldworlde and the back section of the pub is styled like an old cottage with open heart and armchairs by the fire. We were smitten with "the cottage" and all the antiques and memorabilia on the wall. Wished I could have stayed the evening. Nice pub and would like to try it for a session in the future.

They are all very knowledgeable about the area and have some amazing stories to tell! The walls of the pub itself also tell a story, with lots of personal photos and trinkets collected over the years by the family. They also serve the best pint of Guinness in the land! It's a great spot to come with a big group of friends, there's loads of space and also a room with a pool table! The pub itself doesn't serve food, but they very kindly allow you to bring food in from the neighbouring takeaway while you enjoy your drinks which is brilliant! My sister ordered a burger off the kids menu but received an adult burger while Cox's restaurant were adamant we had to pay the adult price cause "if you ate it you have to pay for it" however it was not our fault that the order was mixed up!
