Friends said the Guinness on tap is the best they ever had but I love a mix drink with blackcurrant. No food but they will help order delivery. Kick your feet back and enjoy any down time here. Locals are so friendly and atmosphere is warm and inviting. Had so much fun here on my recent trip and kept coming back each night after exploring. Seems they always have some event live music, karaoke, or sports but even on nights without them they have a jukebox, pool table, comfy seating and great company. The owner and bartenders were also wonderful. l Wish I lived there so I could go all the time. Already planning my next trip back to Ireland and will definitely make it back here!

The bar was large, upon entrance; there's that room, with additional rooms as you continue further towards the back. Plenty of seating, I imagine it gets pretty busy as it gets closer to evening. Clean restrooms were available. Friendly service and reasonable prices. We ordered a Smithwick and hard cider for a little over 9 Euros. Put this spot on your must bar list when in Ireland!

They are all very knowledgeable about the area and have some amazing stories to tell! The walls of the pub itself also tell a story, with lots of personal photos and trinkets collected over the years by the family. They also serve the best pint of Guinness in the land! It's a great spot to come with a big group of friends, there's loads of space and also a room with a pool table! The pub itself doesn't serve food, but they very kindly allow you to bring food in from the neighbouring takeaway while you enjoy your drinks which is brilliant! I was with an American friend accompanying me on a visit back to my family in Ireland. She said her…read morefamily came from Birr Offaly and that she knew they still lived there somewhere. We went to Birr to see if we could possibly track them down. The first place we stopped at was Kelly's pub. We had the best service and ate the best food. The soup was served with fresh homemade brown bread & Irish butter and the cottage pie was served piping hot with a rich flavour that felt not only delicious but nutritious too, The vegetables we were served tasted like they had just been picked. We asked the waitress if she could direct my American friend regarding sources of possible information on her long lost Irish relatives. Before I knew what was happening the owner John drove us to meet her family. He made phone calls, got their address and brought us there himself. I was so proud that my friend got to see the magic of Irish hospitality and selfless acts of kindness towards a stranger.
