Hours: closed Monday, dining Tue-Sun 12-8pm. Entertainment is offered on the weekends and bar hours are extended to 12am. Also there are boutique hotel rooms available to rent. Very spacious and can accomodate various size parties. First visit we sat in the main dining room and bar area. Our server was Daniel who did an admirable job. Chicken supreme (e18.50) served hot & enough to take back to our hotel. Pan roasted w/ mashed potatoes, bacon & cabbage, w/ mushroom gravy - Excellent! And a Gourmet beef burger (e18) 6oz Beef Burger served with Toasted Brioche, Iceberg, Grilled Bacon, Tomatoes, Gherkins, Dubliner Cheese,Ballymaloe Relish topped with Homemade Onion Ring and House Fries. Towering burger, this is no handheld - Excellent! Something for everyone on their menu. We spent e50 total with a drink apiece. On our second visit we sat at the top bar. Our server was Lorna who did a great job. Main Goujons (chicken fingers) (e16) & a large fish & chips w/coleslaw (e21.50) very good also. A big place but very comfortable. Service & food was excellent. Highly recommended for dining in Longford. We were here for the Farrell Clan Rally all week and this was just 10 minute walk from our stay at Cathedral View apts. Very picturesque sight with outdoor dining for boaters. It is a bar, restaurant, & inn. We had an afternoon meal here with a busload load of people (50+) from the Farrell Clan Rally 2022. Very attentive staff at the bar. We had the dining room for our group. A sumptuous three course meal was served. Entree choices were beef or salmon w/ creamed potatoes and accompanied by large bowls of seasonal roasted vegetables and two more kinds of potatoes. What a feast. It's not easy to serve 50+ people but the staff did a great job of serving every dish hot and well made. Thank you. This spot is a nice place for a lunch or dinner inside or outdoors along the canal. The guesthouse is a family-run business, and it had a very warm welcoming feel to it the whole weekend. Breakfast was wholesome and hearty, and I had a huge room all to myself for a very reasonable price. Really superb staff. I forgot to ask for the wifi password, so I don't know how to rate that but everything else was great .. which was unusual for such a sad weekend . Great people. Highly recommend.
