We are completely new to pool chemistry and maintenance and had not yet moved into the home, so relied in good faith on Faustino being familiar with the entire pool setup and what it needed chemistry and maintenance-wise during the summer months before we moved into the house. In retrospect it is not clear what the company did on a weekly basis to maintain the pool during that period, other than clean out some pool debris with the net. I did not see them add chemicals or test the water when I was there, nor did they share any test results or even acknowledge anything they did in terms of adding chlorine, algaecide, stabilizer, or anything related to pool chemistry. The water leveling dropped and became an issue because of a filter pressure gauge leak, and then someone shut off the water main that fed the pumps, which we had no knowledge of. But instead of trying to debug and fix that issue, they were using the garden hose to refill the pool for the 10-15 minutes they were at the house per week, which was not enough, and led to the waterline dropping below the skimmer inlets. This could have burned out the pump motors and cost us thousands. Instead I got a text saying "the water leveling is low" and the solution Faustino pitched was to buy a new water leveler from him, which we later realized meant he had no idea what the root cause of the lowering water level was. Whomever came to service the pool didn't bother to check the leaking filter, and they either shut off the water supply to the pump system, or didn't check whether it was on or off. Oh, and the filter had not been cleaned in almost 9 months. The pool became green and cloudy within those few weeks. When I asked Faustino what chemicals he had added to contain it, I got no response. Instead of taking the initiative to fix it, he had the audacity to blame us for the water leveling issue causing the green pool... like, buddy, what am I paying you for? So I ended up doing my own research and getting another pool service professional to take a look. After a few hundred dollars worth of chlorine shock treatment and equipment to repair the leak and scrub the pool walls myself, the pool is starting to recover. But we will not use Oceano Azul any longer based on their negligent service and communication.

Even after the repair we saw some minor issues and reached out to Oceano, they still responded with the same promptness and friendliness; they even came by again multiple times to take another look and fix our remaining issues. Oceano staff is very friendly and honest. I will continue using them for any pool services for the foreseeable future!
