a great experience, another fun escape room, and another escape with time remaining. we went on a sunday night after our hunt for snow was a fail. the story line is great, and although the room is simple overall, the puzzles within the room were well planned out and flowed. i liked how big the room is (definitely could fit a big group in comparison to some escape rooms) and loved the variety of puzzles. i finally was able to convince my siblings & their family to do an escape room together and they agreed. our group was a total of 8 (5 adults & 3 kids and half of them were first timers. we did well together and everyone was able to participate (which can be hard in a big group). we needed to ask for 3 clues, and christian, our game master, really helped move us along (we really needed only 2, but there was some misinterpretation of a hint that was given to us from my husband). the only drawback of this room is just being able to find it in the casino (no need to deduct a star for that one). we had to ask several people where it was located before we found it (it's in the bally's casino past the starbucks down a hallway). although we didn't find snow on our trip to tahoe, we found a way out of this escape room. they are planning to make more rooms, so looking forward for another trip here once we return to tahoe. read more

Located inside the back of Ballys past the Arcade. We did the outdoor DB Cooper one and so took about 1 hr and 50 minutes. Walked about 1.5 miles. It was fun to explore the town and use town sights in many of the clues. Not scary, although it got long and so some people from our group went back to hotel (80 and 7 year old). It's started off with a snafoo glitch in the first clue, but game master was able to talk us through it. Hints were available on your phone if you took to long. The outdoor one needs your smartphone, so charge it! Word scramble, math, puzzles, it was very clever! The outdoor one was very affordable and our group had 10 people initially and it was fun! read more

We stay at Bally's often and on our last trip we finally decided to check out the Puzzle Room. After reading the reviews I figured it could be something fun for our 7-year-old to try and teeny tiny could tag along too. After a short debrief we entered the room and watched an intro to the puzzle. The first clue was easy and as we continued to play it got a little harder but still not super challenging. If you've done a puzzle room before and know how to play, there are no doubts in my mind that you wont escape. We had a couple setbacks between my husband incorrectly lining up the code to a lock to forgetting puzzles go in order and being distracted by other things. Nonetheless, we were only 3 puzzles away from escaping and we had a great time. I would recommend trying the puzzle room if you love solving puzzles and have an hour to kill. read more

Played both of their escape rooms as a group of two. We had David as our host both times, and he was very friendly, upbeat, helpful, and passionate about running these games. Both rooms are pretty "classic" escape games in terms of the puzzles. Technology is incorporated nicely without being gimmicky. Rooms are themed well, feels like you're in a movie, or at least a movie set. The Battleship room is a bit simpler; I'd recommend it for newcomers to the genre in groups of 2 or 3. The Bunker is a little more complex, but had lots of little delightful moments without being frustrating; I feel like it was one of my favorite rooms, out of the couple dozen I've probably played over the years! Let's talk logistics: the room is in Bally's casino hotel, closest to the parking deck elevator. You can park in there for $15 for up to 4 hours (free if you can get in and out in under an hour, but your escape game is an hour), or eat something in the casino and try to get a parking validation from the cashiers. Alternatively, if you come in on the "back" parking on Lake Parkway, there are signs for "Escape room" parking among other businesses, and then you end up parking behind Harrah's casino for free. A bit of a walk over, though. Also, recommend bringing warm clothes/coats in the winter months, as it's a bit drafty in this part of the building! All in all, had a great experience here read more

Heavily recommend their bunker puzzle room for intermediate-advanced puzzle room experts and they have a beginner-intermediate room for those just starting out. The room was cool but when we arrived we were told they were 15 minutes behind. Turns out we started 35 minutes late. Parts of the room were not working properly and it ate up our time. We were not given any additional time when others before of clearly were so it was a frustrating experience. The game master was clearly not watching our game closely. I totally beefed the online ordering process and ordered way more rooms than I meant to. They took care of me with out giving me any guff. They also answered all my questions with out getting annoyed. Warning potential spoiler: the zombie room has a part where you have to note colors how ever All 4 of us couldn't tell what the colors were due to the lighting. They really need to fix that part of the game. We lost a solid 15 minutes on that and (probably)couldn't finish the room because of it. Otherwise the room was perfectly designed. I know I usually make reviews for restaurants but I had to make a review for this establishment. This is the first escape room I have been to and I was not disappointed. The first time I came here was earlier in the year in March. I was a little skeptical because of where it was located. It is right next to Dotties Casino in Lake tahoe. It is kinda hard to find if you have never been. When you get inside, it looks like a place I would never go to, but when you get to the reception desk, everyone is super nice and helpful. This place also has a hooka lounge that is separate but I think if you are done with the escape rooms you can hang out there. So the first time I came here, I was with classmates. We did the egyptian one and it was awesome. It is really hard when you don't work together but we finished in 45 minutes. Tonight, I came with my family of 5 and man did we have a great time. It was harder than the first and I love how they help you out when you are lost. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something to do. Totally walked in from the street to check it out. We were greeted by Richard.(awesome dude!) with 7 of us asking him questions at once, he patiently answered all of our questions and promptly squeezed us in. We did the Egyptian puzzle room and it was not easy! Our prideful group refused to ask for clues until the last 20 minutes where we realized we weren't making it out of the room without them. The staff did t over serve is clues but gave us enough to figure out the next step. I hate to say it but we went just a few minutes over (2-3) and the gracious staff didn't kick us out but offered just enough time to win! Awesome experience right across from Hard Rock. The current room, The Bunker, was way too easy. We finished in half the time. We asked if we were the fastest and were told there were other groups faster than us. My family has done about three other escape rooms and the family that we were with had never done any. I could tell we were flying through the puzzles from the beginning. It was essentially just one room and the puzzles were pretty easy to figure out. If this is your first time doing an escape room it is probably a good initiation. If you have done a few, I'd probably skip it. read more

I am an escape room addict that needed her escape room fix on a trip to Tahoe. I've probably done about 80+ rooms by now and can you pretty accurately whether a place is worthwhile to visit. This would be great for beginners/intermediate players but not necessarily a place that is a must visit for traveling enthusiasts. We completed the Egyptian themed room with 0 hints, 6 people in about 30-35 mins or so. This is rated their hardest room. I would say this is medium to medium easy for enthusiasts since there really wasn't anything novel in the room. It was heavy in v1/key & locks mechanics with some tech thrown in. Overall, the room was done well but the room needs some TLC as it looked very old. The game master was very nice and accommodating! A+ for staff! read more

Oh my gosh we had so much fun!!!!! We did the Cabin puzzle and didn't make it to the second room but that's ok it was just the two of us and we had never done this adventure before. I would highly recommend this to any group of 3 or more. More brains were definitely needed on the quest!! lol Sabrina the manager was so gracious and very kind to us as we were unable to finish the puzzle in one hour and told us for just two people who have never done this before we did pretty well. Albert and Tyler were awesome, and the highlight of our trip, yes, even with Covid. On Thanksgiving Day, Heavenly closed due to high winds. My son and I came and did one of their rooms (with Albert hosting). We liked it so much, we came back the next day (with Tyler), and after defating that room, booked on the spot to come back again for the last and most difficult room. Sadly, we didn't make it out alive, but we will definitely be back. Everything around here seems to be a tourist trap - overpriced and underdelivered - but Puzzle Room was a welcome exception.
